Chapter 709 - Chapter 709: Planet Plant and Bardock

Shortly after Zarbon left, Frieza watched the seemingly immutable scenery of the universe from inside the spaceship. After thinking for a moment, he gave instructions to another general beside him: "Mr. Dodoria, please follow Captain Ginyu to Earth. If you discover any anomalies, please notify me immediately. I suspect... I have a bad premonition that Vegeta is not dead."

"Yes, my Lord!" Dodoria, whose face was covered in transverse flesh and looked extremely crude, immediately nodded and agreed.

Frieza, as a person, was actually a good boss.

Every worker knows what the number one excellent quality of a boss is. That is: don't be a riddler. Give clear and easy-to-understand instructions, don't beat around the bush, and don't make the people below guess your meaning. Being able to do this makes one an excellent boss.

What is Frieza's second excellent quality? Appointment on merit!

As long as you have talent and are willing to submit to him, he doesn't care about your race, age, seniority, or background. If you have talent, he will accept you.

The third excellent quality is that he, the boss, is very good at fighting—better than all his subordinates combined. At least in the early stages, before monsters like Cell and Buu emerge, he is definitely capable of fighting.

The rest—speaking politely, addressing subordinates with far lower battle power as "Mr." or "Miss," remembering every subordinate's name, establishing a sound medical security system, improving logistical support capabilities, and enriching the cultural and sports activities of subordinates—these qualities are less important in comparison.

To summarize, Frieza slaughters intelligent races everywhere and traffics planets; he is absolutely a bad person, but he is a good boss.

In order to kill this 'good boss' Frieza, Ino began to prepare her backup plan.

Son Goku transforming into a Super Saiyan was certainly the first choice, but she couldn't pin all her hopes on that. Since Krillin could not be resurrected at present, who should die in front of Son Goku during the battle? Piccolo or Vegeta? It was estimated that even if these two died ten times over, Son Goku wouldn't get angry enough.

Ino activated the Treasured Tool: Plow to continue the task she hadn't completely finished last time: finding Bardock's ashes.

This time, she was traveling to Planet Plant as it was eight hundred years ago.

She had no friendship with Bardock, nor would she bring him back alive to the current time point, as the consequences triggered by that would be too severe.

Bringing the remains back would suffice.

As for the body, she could just reshape it using Underworld energy after returning to this time point.

Bardock was a trump card. If Son Goku performed well, she wouldn't even awaken the other's soul.

Saiyans, including Super Saiyans, were all within the scope of "humans"; at most, their battle power was just fierce. Saiyans could get nearsighted, suffer from heart disease, and their lifespans weren't much longer than ordinary people. From this perspective, they were far inferior to the Otsutsuki clan, who were born with lifespans of thousands of years and could replicate themselves using the digitized "Wedge" method to achieve immortality.

The Otsutsuki clan could fight, run, teleport, heal, and survive in a vacuum environment; they were absolutely a rare, jack-of-all-trades race.

In contrast, Saiyans only had the qualities of being able to fight, being able to fight, and being able to fight.

Ino estimated that Bardock wouldn't live past two hundred years. Being swept into a time point a thousand years ago by time turbulence, without the means to travel through time, he could only die in that past era. Going to that time point eight hundred years ago to retrieve his ashes was just right.

Stepping out of the teleportation light gate of the Treasured Tool: Plow, she surveyed the surrounding environment.

She didn't encounter any time turbulence this time; the shuttle process was very stable.

The sky of Planet Plant was a bright red color. Ino grabbed a handful of dirt; the soil was very fertile. The indigenous people of this planet were likely not good at planting.

She floated in the sky and simultaneously turned on her sensory abilities to look for intelligent life.

"There are so few people... I'll find someone to ask."

At this point in time, Bardock should already be dead. However, since he saved the indigenous people of this planet, those intelligent races known as Tuffles should have buried him properly.

Ino landed in a place that could tentatively be called a village.

Like stacked building blocks, the Tuffles lived in stone houses that looked very crude. generally, two stone houses, or three stone houses stacked into a stone pillar; according to Ino's observation, this should count as one household.

The Tuffles were very thin and weak, with spindly arms and legs, pink skin, heads like winter melons, and eyes located on their foreheads. A few Tuffles who seemed to be children didn't know fear at all; looking at Ino, this alien, from afar, they engaged in a burst of whispered discussion.

Ino stood in an area that seemed to be the center of the village, her sensory abilities fully active.

There wasn't a single person nearby who could fight!

Planet Konats had heroes like Tapion, and Planet Namek had combat-type Namekians like Nail with a battle power of 42,000. These Tuffles really didn't seem to have any combat capabilities.

"I am a friend of Bardock's son. I was entrusted by his son to come look for him. Do any of you know where he is?"

Ino asked, looking at the surrounding Tuffles.

She waited for a moment. "No one knows? Or is it that Bardock isn't in this village? Alright... sorry to disturb you, I'll go look elsewhere."

She used a language comprehension ability, so the Tuffles could understand her words.

Just as she was preparing to leave, a Tufle who looked a bit elderly spoke slowly.

"Please wait a moment." The old Tufle recalled for a bit: "Are you a friend of Uncle Bardock?"

Good grief, you guys are truly honest. You definitely haven't been scammed before, have you?

Ino looked at the old man. "Correctly speaking, I am a friend of his son. I haven't met Bardock, but I heard that the father and son look very much alike."

She raised her hand, and a photo of Son Goku was pushed by repulsive force, landing gently in front of the old man.

One couldn't say Son Goku and Bardock were exactly the same, only that they were completely identical.

The father and son looked as if they were carved from the same mold.

This photo gained the old man's trust. "I see, but you are too late. Uncle Bardock passed away from illness many years ago. Before he died, he was always concerned about his family."

Ino came prepared. She took out two more photos. "Look at this woman. This is Chi-Chi, the wife of Bardock's son, a very kind and gentle woman. Look at this one again. This is Bardock's grandson, Son Gohan, a child with extremely high aptitude. His aptitude ranks at the forefront of the entire universe. This is their current home..."

The old Tufle likely had some skill like lie detection; he could tell at a glance whether someone was lying. Ino behaved very sincerely and spoke the truth, so she quickly gained the other party's approval.

"I don't know what help I can provide either, I'm too old... Let me take you to visit Uncle Bardock's grave. By the way, my name is Berry."

"Hello, my name is Haruno Sakura."

Using the Treasured Tool: Plow to return required waiting for a cooldown time. Ino wasn't in a hurry and stayed directly in the valley beside Bardock's grave.
