Chapter 357 - Under the Same Sky

Years later.

Miria was standing on the balcony of a house overlooking the sea. Beside her, a little boy with short black hair and violet eyes, and a little girl with medium-length brown hair and black eyes, both six years old.

"Dad! Dad, look at the fish over there!" the boy exclaimed.

Asher appeared behind them, a tender smile on his lips.

"How is my queen… my prince… and my princess?"

"Very well," Miria answered, turning toward him.

"Dad, look!" the little boy insisted.

"Yes, I see them, Ariane. And you, Aria?"

"Meh… nothing interesting," the little girl answered with a shrug.

At that moment, Katrina arrived, followed by Klaus who was carrying their three-year-old son, Clyde, in his arms.

"Aria!" Katrina called with a smile.

"Aunt Katrina!"

"How's the little family?" she asked.

"It's going, it's going," Asher answered. "Are the others here?"

"Yes, yes. They're waiting for us downstairs."

They all went down together to the large living room. The place was already filled with life.

Marlie and Axel were there with their six-year-old son, Alec.

Diana and Gale with their four-year-old son, Gad, and their two-year-old daughter, Dia.

Eiden and Kira with their three-year-old triplets: Kida, Eidi and Kera.

Ray and Isabella with their two-year-old daughter, Bella.

And Bryan and Alix with their three-year-old son, Ben.

Everyone was talking at the same time, laughing, exchanging news. The atmosphere was warm, almost noisy with happiness.

Asher looked around, one eyebrow raised.

"By the way… I don't see Alixia and Ikan?"

Axel smiled.

"Leave those two alone. Since they became adults, they really act like it. We see them less and less."

Bryan crossed his arms, looking threatening… but clearly not serious.

"I hope for your sake that my daughter doesn't get pregnant too early, or I'll skin your kid," he said, looking at Eiden.

Eiden raised an eyebrow.

"I should point out that it's your daughter who started it. After all, she's the older one… so the more responsible of the two, right?"

Everyone burst out laughing.

Miria turned to Bryan.

"By the way… what's the news with your brother and Morena?"

"They're still together. Who would have thought? I even think they're starting to have real feelings for each other."

Asher turned to Axel.

"And Henry?"

"Ah, I was about to forget. Henry and Isolde are getting married soon. I even have the feeling I'm going to be an uncle soon."

"Wow… Congratulations," Katrina said with a smile. "Really, congratulations."

The evening continued in joy and light conversation. Later, when the night was well settled, Miria found herself alone on the balcony. She observed the sea, took a deep breath of the salty air, and closed her eyes for a moment.

Light footsteps were heard behind her. Asher wrapped his arms around her, resting his chin on her shoulder.

"Are you okay?" he asked softly.

Miria turned slightly, a peaceful smile on her lips.

"Yes… perfectly."

He kissed her at length, tenderly, then more passionately.

"I love you," he murmured against her lips.

"I love you too."

They remained like that, embraced facing the sea, under the same sky that had seen their love born and reborn across the centuries.

And for the first time… there was nothing left to fear.

Only the rest of their story...

The End♥️...
