Chapter 241 - Chapter 236 – Reign! The Sovereign! Unbeatable!

After hearing it all, Yumiko got goosebumps. "That monster is disturbing…"

Marin and the others felt the same way.

A creature that bewitched men and drove them insane.

A creature whose flesh could regenerate into multiple individuals—hell, it could even grow on other people.

Just imagining that scene was enough to make your blood run cold.

Yui asked nervously, "But Tatsu saw her face too… he'll be okay, right?"

That question made everyone freeze for a beat.

Especially Yukino, Eriri, and Itsuki.

The three of them hadn't considered that at all yesterday.

Tatsuki smiled lightly. "Yui, besides you girls being cute and pretty, I'm not the kind of guy who gets easily tempted, you know."

"Hehe."

It was basically a roundabout compliment, and Yui let out a sweet, dopey giggle.

In Yumiko's eyes it was disgustingly sugary, but it clearly worked wonders on Yui and the others.

Marin, however, puffed her cheeks and teased, "Then how come my succubus ability doesn't work on you at all?"

Tatsuki raised a brow. "Your succubus ability might not work, but you yourself work just fine on me, Marin. What—did you forget that time?"

"Uh…"

Marin instantly remembered the time she wore that succubus cosplay at the convention—how Tatsuki's weapon had very clearly entered combat mode.

And she'd even personally felt it with her inner thigh… and climbed to the top by grinding… she immediately went speechless.

And he really wasn't joking. Some cheap charm had zero effect on him. At least so far, out of the two people he'd met with charm-type abilities—Marin, and Tomie Kawakami—neither of their charms had worked on him at all.

After shutting down Marin's playful attack, Tatsuki looked at Itsuki. "Nakano-san, what did you come to see me for?"

Itsuki lifted her head nervously. "I came to thank you, Tatsuki-san… and Yukinoshita-san, and Sawamura-san too. Thank you for helping me!"

"We'll accept your thanks, but you came all the way here just for that?"

"Umm…"Itsuki tapped her index fingers together, embarrassed. "Actually… I wanted to ask if you guys are onmyouji, and if you have any charms that can drive away yokai and ghosts…"

Tatsuki got it. "You want to buy a charm to protect your family?"

"Mm-hm! That's right!" Itsuki's face was full of hope.

With a terrifying monster out there, she wanted to see if there was any method that could offer protection—something to keep her sisters safe.

"Then you'll probably be disappointed. We're not onmyouji, and talismans wouldn't work on a monster like Tomie anyway." Tatsuki's words made Itsuki droop. "But you can add my contact info. If you run into anything supernatural, you can contact me."

"Really?!"

The moment she heard that, Itsuki—who'd been so dejected—lit up.

"Yeah. You can add theirs too."

After exchanging contact info with Tatsuki and the others, Itsuki finally left happily.

After lunch break ended, the first class in the afternoon was P.E.

A long-awaited physical fitness test.

It was a pretty important thing in both middle school and high school. Grip strength, sit-ups, sit-and-reach, lateral shuttle jumps, the 20-meter shuttle run, the 50-meter dash, standing long jump, and the softball throw.

Eight events total. Each class would split into groups and rotate through different tests.

This time, Tatsuki ended up in the same group as Hayama Hayato. Both of them were big names in the grade, but the glow around Tatsuki was obviously on a whole other level.

The Sovereign!

That title wasn't just empty hype.

Tobe Kakeru glanced at Tatsuki—who hadn't even warmed up—and pumped Hayama up. "Hayama, c'mon! Beat that guy!"

Hayama smiled gently. "We're all classmates, but a healthy competition is fine too. Tatsuki-kun, good luck."

"…"

Tatsuki nodded without a sound.

Yeah, he did need luck—luck in controlling his strength so he wouldn't shock the entire world.

A bunch of people had been expecting a showdown between Hayama and Tatsuki, but starting from the very first event—grip strength—Tatsuki casually squeezed out the highest record in the entire school.

Then came sit-ups, sit-and-reach, lateral shuttle jumps, the 20-meter shuttle run, the 50-meter dash, standing long jump, softball throw—Tatsuki broke records in every single category.

Leaving everyone in the dust, sprinting down the road of pure domination.

Even more ridiculous—everything he surpassed… was his own previous record!

Only then did everyone finally realize—how could a mere Hayato possibly be a match for The Sovereign?

After comparing results, even Hayama could only give a bitter smile and shake his head. "That's a mountain you can't climb, no matter what."

The Sovereign once again reigned at the peak of YY Academy!

When class ended, Tatsuki—without a single drop of sweat—walked off looking completely relaxed.

Yui, Yukino, and Megumi watched him being talked about by both boys and girls; their pretty faces held either faint smiles or pure pride.

Yumiko caught every one of those micro-expressions.

In her heart, she couldn't help sighing—Tatsuki really was out here committing sins, but watching his back as he walked away, she still had to admit it: he was perfect.

Aside from being way too womanizer.

Besides Class 1, Class 7 also had P.E. at the same time.

They didn't need to do the fitness test, but that didn't stop them from watching.

Yotsuba sighed in awe. "Miku, that guy is amazing…"

Miku nodded. "Yeah. Even more amazing than you, Yotsuba."

"I'm still nowhere close." Yotsuba was the most athletic of the five sisters, but she didn't think she could even compare to Tatsuki.

That guy was overwhelmingly strong in every possible way.

Still, in Miku's eyes, both of them were strong, because Miku's stamina was genuinely terrible.

"Oh right, I heard from someone earlier—his name is Tatsuki. He's the student council president for the high school division. And not only is he crazy in sports… his test scores are also number one in the grade, maybe even number one nationwide. Always perfect scores."

Hearing that, Yotsuba was even more astonished. He was terrifyingly strong in every field.

"Oh, and he's got a nickname that sounds super strong too."

"Nickname? Like The Demon King of the Sixth Heaven kind of nickname?" Miku's eyes lit up.

"T-the Demon King of the Sixth Heaven? What is that?" Yotsuba blinked blankly. She had no idea what that was.

Miku put on an I'm not totally sure face and brushed it off. "I think it's Oda Nobunaga's title or something."

"…"

Yotsuba gave a dry laugh. "I don't really get it, but it sounds intense. Tatsuki-san's title is kinda like that too—it's something like… The Sovereign."

"Oh." Miku's eyes went flat.

She had zero interest in that nickname. She liked samurai-style titles more.

"But his grades are so good… not like us five. We're all idiots." Yotsuba sighed enviously.

Miku's expression also turned regretful.

Yeah. The five sisters were idiots. All five of them sat at the very bottom of their class and grade—what a ridiculous talent to have.

Their dad had hired tutors for them again and again, but every single one ended up storming off, furious because they couldn't teach them.

Over time, "The quintuplets are idiots" became something burned into their minds. To the point where even they started believing they were idiots.

"Sigh… if someone like that could tutor us, maybe things would get better…"

Yotsuba was only thinking out loud. Because something like that was impossible, right?
