Indra POV –
Right now I am at my lab with Rias, and we are testing her new weapon, a spear, a spear I made specially for her, a spear I got inspired by Gae Bolg. It only looks like that, but it does have its advantages, like returning to Rias when she calls for it, as well as it is made of a mixture of Adamantium and chakr, a Oar it is highly durable. She can inject elemental chakra, causing the blade to respond to it like throwing various elements, Lightning strike, barrier piercing, making a brier from Water or Earth, heating the blade to a high temperature using Fire, and allowing it to adjust depending on the wielder's thought, and only she could use. If others want to use it, she has to give permission, or she has to pass it as it is bound to her from her blood.
Rias: Thanks, Indra, for the gift.
She said as she twirled her spear and then shrank the spear into a hairpin.
Indra: No problem, so how has everything been since you became a Chunnin?
Rias: Uh, don't talk. I am really tired of constantly doing B and C rank missions.
Indra: Now, don't worry, how about I talk to Raikage for a holiday for just the two of u?.
Rias: Really, you would?
Indra: Sure.
She just nodded happily, and we talked about various stuff. After she went to her home, I went back to my home to see my mother making dinner.
Indra: Hey, Mom, good afternoon.
Delia: Good afternoon, dear. I see you have returned. How was your time with Rias?
Indra: What are you talking about, Mom?
I said my voice was getting higher at the end, and I was able to feel a sweat forming on my forehead.
Delia: Hehe, dear, you're so much like your dad when it comes to this.
As she said that, I could see her missing, dad, and I just nodded and sat down. After a while during dinner, I asked her if she missed Dad, and she just nodded with a small tear in her eyes. I just wipe her tears away and hug her while she cries. And I made a decision, I don't know if it was correct or not, but I would do it.
The next day, I went to the Raikage building to meet Raikage, A.
An hour later, freshly fed and changed into my standard Kumo attire—dark blue flak jacket over a grey mesh shirt, forehead protector firmly in place—I stood before the massive doors of the Raikage's office. The two towering guards, members of the Darui's eventual squad, gave me respectful nods. My reputation within Kumo was… complex. The outsider-born prodigy, the inventor, the summoner, the last Uchiha (as far as they knew). But I'd earned my place with blood, sweat, and frankly, absurd amounts of utility. They'd seen my creations in action, had brothers and sisters saved by the healing pods. Loyalty in Kumo is earned through strength and results. I'd provided both.
"Enter!" The voice from inside was like grinding boulders.
I pushed the door open to find the Fourth Raikage, A, glaring at a mountain of paperwork, with Darui lounging against the wall, looking vaguely apologetic about his boss's mood. Bee was nowhere in seen, probably composing his next masterpiece.
Indra: Lord Raikage. Darui.
I greeted.
A: Indra.
A grunted, not looking up.
A: If this is about another budget increase for your 'Chakra-to-Chocolate' converter project, the answer is no. The Daimyo's treasurer is still having nightmares about the last one."
Darui coughed to hide a laugh.
Indra: Not today, sir.
I said, moving to stand before his desk.
Indra: Two requests. First, a formal leave of absence for myself and Rias Uzumaki. One week, coastal. No experiments."
That made him look up, his sharp eyes assessing me.
A: Hmph. About time you acted your age for five minutes. Approved. The girl's team can handle a week of A-ranks without her. Second?"
"This," I said, placing a small, sleek data pad on his desk. It was a condensed version of a much larger plan.
Indra: A proposal for 'Project Thunderhead.' A joint training and security initiative between my Summons and our Sensor and Barrier Corps."
A picked up the pad, his brow furrowing as he scanned. Darui pushed off the wall to peer over his shoulder.
Indra: The Eagle Clan can provide unprecedented aerial surveillance and rapid response. Garuda has agreed to coordinate. Their members can patrol predefined sectors, linked to the emotion sensors of the main barrier. A Picante Eagle can spot a heart rate spike from five thousand feet. A Braviary's keen eyes can see chakra signatures like thermal blooms. We integrate their perception with the barrier's data feed."
I explained
Darui whistled low.
Darui: Real-time, living surveillance network covering the entire country's border approaches. That's… something else.
A: And the Elephant Clan?
A asked, his voice losing its gruffness, shifting into the tone of a strategist.
Indra: Mobile fortification and heavy response, Deployable via summoning scrolls to any border post under sustained assault. A Regal Mammoth or an Elephantsaurus can alter the terrain of a battlefield in minutes. They're not just brutes; Airavat is older than the tailed beasts and thinks in terms of grand strategy. He's willing to advise.
He leaned back, a slow, fierce grin spreading across his face. It was the look he got when he saw a new, powerful tool for his village.
A: You've been holding out on me, kid. This isn't just a weapon; it's a force multiplier that plays perfectly to Kumo's philosophy of overwhelming, resilient defence. The Daimyo will cream his robes when he hears we have a sky and land force that doesn't need supply lines.
Indra" That's the idea, sir. It turns my personal assets into a village asset. It also sends a clear message: our borders are not just guarded by shinobi, but by forces of legend. It's a deterrent.
I nodded in explanation.d
A: A good one.
A agreed. He tossed the pad to Darui.
A: Get this to the strategy division. Full analysis. I want a deployment plan by the end of the month. Indra, you're heading this joint task force. Coordinate with the Clan Heads and the Jonin Commander. Rank: Special Jonin Commander for the duration of the project.
It wasn't a higher rank than my Elite Jonin status, but it was a specific, public mandate of trust and authority. A piece of formal integration into Kumo's military structure. "Understood, sir."
A: Good. Now get out. And take your damn vacation before this starts," he waved me off, already turning back to his paperwork, his mind clearly racing with the new possibilities.
As I turned to leave, Darui gave me a lazy salute and a smile.
Darui: Cool move, Indra. Really.
Indra: Thanks, Darui.
Stepping out of the tower, the high-altitude sun felt warm on my skin. The sounds of the village—the clang of forges, the shouts from training grounds, the distant rumble of the waterfalls—washed over me. My village.
A system prompt flickered at the edge of my vision, a gentle chime only I could hear.
[ Template Update: Victor Von Doom – 30% Completed. ]
[ Reason: Successful integration of personal power into national infrastructure. Advancement of sovereign strategic doctrine. ]
I smiled. Doom would appreciate that. Not just power, but order. Not just invention, but legacy.
My path was clear. I would build, protect, and elevate Kumogakure with every tool at my disposal. Let Konoha cling to its Will of Fire and its ghosts. Let the other villages, Akatsuki, and other forces plot in the shadows. We of the Cloud would build a fortress in the sky so mighty that the coming storms would break upon it, and from the lightning we would forge a new era.
But first, a beach. And Rias.
I pushed off from the railing, body flickering away in a crackle of lightning, the scent of ozone and ambition trailing behind me.
