Mrs chika told her husband all kind of lies,she even cried accusing amaka of been stubborn and heartless,she told her hisband that amaka was a green snake in a green grass,she futher told him that amaka did not deserve pity,her husband was moved by her tears and consoled her ,he was furious and dicided to punish amaka .
After their usual morning prayers ,mr amadi sat all the three girls to advice them ,when he was done advicing them he told amaka that he had a punishment for her and it was that he would no lomger sponsor her education and that she was to stay at home all day cleaning ,washing and cooking.
Amaka was in distress she had always dreamt of becoming a nurse,she loved taking care of people close to her,she had passion for it,when her unxle broke the news it sounded like a knife was used to pierce heart,she cried all day,with swollen eyes and no one but ada to console her.
Amaka's dream was nearly shatterd ,she became the house maid ,did all the chores and cooked every meal,she cried sometimes when working but she soon got used to it and it became her hubby .
Soon ada was done with her degree and left for law school ,amaka onthe other hand was always at home working ,she only went to the market and to church ,one day she went to the market and misplaced some money ,when she came home she was so scared ,her aunty noticed that the shopping bags were fewer than usual so she beacon ed on amamka to.come for questioning,amamka explained that when she went to the market she had misplaced some money before she could say the last statement a slap landed on her face ,amaka recieved the beating of her life that day.
