The night was bright, with a few stars, the autumn air was crisp, and the evening breeze was gentle. The night view from Yunding Mountain was peaceful and pleasing.
However, on the mountain path leading downhill, Lei Shan and Wu Xing, who had left the Heavenly Patrol Hall, were not in the mood to appreciate the scenery. Commander Wu Xing of the Heavenly Army strode ahead angrily, while Lei Shan followed quickly behind.
The Heavenly Patrol Hall was now taken over by the Ninth Mountain Army, forcing Lei Shan to seek another place, preparing to follow Commander Wu down to the camp at the foot of the mountain.
At a deserted mountain path at mid-slope, Lei Shan called out to Wu Xing,
"Commander Wu, slow down a bit, I have something to say."
"Humph!" Wu Xing snorted coldly, not stopping his steps.
Lei Shan quickened his pace, came to the side, and whispered, "Now only you and I can discuss this, Commander Wu, let's not be angry."
