Ji Qian wasn't actually stubborn, it was mainly that she was overly concerned about Ye Shikai's safety. "Emilee, I agree with you, but they'll wait for me thirty meters away." Ye Shikai pointed to a large tree not far away, indicating the two should go there to talk. Thirty meters was a suitable distance, where others couldn't hear the conversation, but they could rush over to help immediately if needed.
"Say what you have to say." The two walked under the tree, and Ye Shikai got straight to the point. He managed to persuade Ji Qian, but not without hearing her complaints, and hoped Emilee's information would be valuable.
