Chapter 3 - My Wife!

Ten minutes later, my wounds began to hurt — especially my face and shoulder. People stared at me, but no one tried to help. I walked in silence, occasionally lifting my eyes to glance at the passersby. But, as always happens, everyone turned away from me, not wanting to get involved in someone else's problems. Meanwhile, my blood kept dripping and dripping onto the ground. I don't know exactly how much blood I'd lost; I didn't really care, even though I should have. What worried me most right now was infection. If an infection got into the wound, I would either lose my arm or die. Neither option suited me at all. How would I fight monsters and bosses with one arm? What am I, the Black Swordsman? The story is called "The Great Me in a New World Without a Computer," not "The Great One-Armed Me in Another World."

I wanted to look up at the sky with my remaining eye, but my attention was caught by something else — a symbol on a signboard. It looked very similar to a medical symbol from my world, only different: instead of a plus, there was a square, and instead of red, it was white. Maybe I was wrong, but I decided to take the risk. What did I have to lose anyway? Die? If I died, then as a ghost, I'd haunt those fuckers for the rest of their lives. They'd be scared and jump at every tiny rustle. If I got lucky, they'd kill themselves after a while, and even after their death, I wouldn't leave them alone. Ha-ha.

Approaching the entrance, I opened the door. Stepping inside, I smelled herbs, and on the shelves there were potions or something like that — medical stuff, basically. Stopping in place, I listened: complete silence, absolutely nothing except the sounds of the street. As if the owner or anyone else just wasn't there.

— Hey, shopkeeper, I'll steal everything if you don't show yourself right now!

There was no reaction. Like I said, there was nobody here — just an empty shop, take whatever you want. So why shouldn't I take what I need? Of course, I'd leave money — I'm not some asshole. I'll leave him exactly fifty yen. What he does with it afterwards is none of my business. He'll figure it out — not my problem. Reaching for the first "Medicine," I picked it up and started examining it.

— I don't understand a thing.

The language was partially similar to Japanese, but it wasn't Japanese. Or rather, it was similar to it, mixed with Arabic. And anyway, do you even care? Actually, yeah, you do care — you're reading this... To say I quickly gave up on trying to understand what was written there would be an understatement. I'm not a polyglot, and I'm not about to dig through this crap.

— Please put that back on the shel—

— FUCK!

Out of fear, I threw the object with all my remaining strength toward the voice. I hadn't expected that — it was truly terrifying — but I exceeded my limit. My wounds made themselves known, and I collapsed to the floor. My legs wouldn't hold me anymore — I was too weak.

— Are you okay?!

— NO, I'M NOT OKAY! cough cough! Why do you have to scare me like that? I'm already on the edge, and you're trying to kill me...

As much as I complained, it didn't last long. Almost immediately, I looked at the owner of the voice.

— Oh my god...

She was a girl of unreal beauty. I was fucking stunned by her figure and her anime-like face. Am I in love? Why am I silent — am I an idiot? I should say that I'm seriously wounded in battle, like in all other anime, show off a bit, and seduce this girl. Yes, she might be my future wife, who knows? Do I want to start this story branch? OF COURSE! Turquoise eyes and dark blue hair, light clothing, a mantle — no, a dress covered in delicate patterns. Oh, great lord, I really can't resist! Every man needs a woman, and I'm no exception.

— You're badly injured. Let me help you up.

— S-sure.

Coming closer, she gently lifted me and dragged me along. It's amazing that such a fragile-looking body has such strength. She was about five foot three and weighed no more than a hundred and ten pounds. Where does that strength come from? Not that it matters — I'll find out later in the future. She gently helped me sit on a table, and I was already looking forward to her starting to touch me, to touch my wounds — in short, to touch me. And yes, I don't give a damn! I'm a man; anyone would like that. Well, unless you're a... non-traditional sexual orientation — then yeah, you probably wouldn't like it.

— Please sit here. I'll be right back.

— S-u-r-e ❤ - I smiled.

I was trying to flirt; I'm sure I succeeded. One hundred percent, she blushed and that's why she left, unable to look at me. Surely, she's about to come back and say, "I'm sorry, I couldn't find the right medicine," or "I'm sorry that I... I..." Oh, I can already feel it — she's definitely part of my destiny! We'll have children — a boy and two girls... What am I saying? I'm not a woman to be thinking about that. And anyway, I...

— Can you hear me, cutie?

— …?

What? "Cutie" — that's not her voice... Then whose? Who called me "cutie" with a voice like that? It was trying to force itself to sound vaguely feminine, but... Finally looking up, I saw it... Or rather, him... This is fucked... Standing in front of me was a guy, maybe twenty years old. He looked handsome, of course, but his voice gave him away as a man, not a woman.

— I brought my little brother — he'll help you. My brother is the best doctor in the area, so don't worry.

— Wait

— It's okay, Asami. I'll take it from here.

— Okay, big brother! If you need anything, I'll be right here.

— I'll handle everything myself. Get some rest — you do nothing but work as it is. A girl your age should already be interested in boys, right?

— BIG BROTHER!

— Ha-ha, what? It's natural, and my— well, we'll talk later. Go rest.

— Okay.

With those words, she started to leave, throwing one last glance at me. I was left alone with him. God dammit... I'm left alone with him?! WHY HIM??? Why not my future wife?

— Well then, cutie, I suppose I'll take care of you now.

— I'm fucked...
