"I promised the Williams their daughter was in safe hands. I told them she would be happy, my son is a good boy. He hates me but he is a good boy. I said that to her father, standing right there." She pointed a shaky finger in Mr Williams direction who hadn't said a word since all these drama began.
"Were you trying to get back at me? Why cant you forgive me? I lost a daughter too."
"Mom…" I looked to my dad for help when he arrived at my mother's side.
"Abby…" My dad began, reaching to hold her.
"Let go of me!" she shouted. "You started all these. This has always been your fault!" she wiped her tears away with one hand and took staggered steps to Nita and her family.
"Mum, you have to stop." Nita urged my mother.
"God sent me an angel in you. I am grateful." She turned to Mrs Williams. "I am so sorry that I put your daughter through this."
"Abby, you need to calm down. Come lets take a seat." Nita's mom helped her to the nearest seat.
