Chapter 9 - Ch 9: Is that thing..... edible?

"Cute."

That was the only word that came to the White Being's mind as he looked at the two of them.

The way they were whispering to each other, as if he couldn't hear them—but they didn't know that he could hear everything clearly.

Just watching their panicked faces and fearful expressions amused him.

He was a new guest in this unknown world. He wanted to understand this space and the world outside this virtual space.

So he simply listened, without interrupting their conversation, while his black abyss-like eyes curiously moved around, observing everything.

"Hmm?"

Turning to his right, the white being saw a grand mansion standing tall before his eyes.

It was so beautiful and captivating that any billionaire would want to build an exact replica of it for themselves, no matter the cost.

"Did you build this mansion?"

He asked without even looking directly at Shirley or Drake, clearly unbothered by whatever conversation they were having.

He simply wandered around with carefree eyes, observing things here and there like a curious child exploring a new place.

Shirley, who had been keeping a close watch on every movement of the being through her virtual senses, paused for a few seconds before replying nervously

"Y-yes…"

"It's nice…"

He glanced at Shirley for barely a millisecond before returning his gaze to the mansion, casually commenting.

"T-thank you," Shirley forced a smile.

His calm tone and indifferent attitude unsettled her.

"Master... what should I do now?"

Shirley whispered softly, unsure of what steps to take next.

Drake, who was shaken from inside after realizing the existence of a 100% Intelligence being ,forced himself to think deeply—analyzing every possibility one by one.

After a few minutes, the confidence that he had lost slowly began to return to his face. A faint smile appeared. Drake understood what he had to do next.

Through his own reasoning, Drake understood something important—he was superior to this white being. No matter how advanced an AI was, even with 100% intelligence, it could never surpass him.

He stood above them—not just with intelligence, but with experience, human emotions, and the ability to choose freely.

Why ?

Because the white being was created by an unknown genius mind.

A chess piece—built to obey its master just as Shirley obeyed him.

It had no dreams of its own, no desire for power or ambition. It was nothing more than a storage of data—designed only to assist humans, regardless of how intelligent it was.

An AI created to serve, not to choose.

But Drake was different.

He too was a 100% intelligence being, but one with experience, with human emotions, and the freedom to choose.

He was not bound—he could make decisions on his own.

Thinking that, he felt a rush of superiority.

Maybe it was time he discarded some human weaknesses—fear, hesitation.

Drake Toddler's entire demeanor shifted.

His trembling ceased, his eyes sharpened, and confidence returned with full force.

With a calm yet commanding voice, he ordered, "Give me the —Energy Seed"

Shocked by her master's suddenly confident tone. she responded, "Y-Yes, Master."

Slowly, she raised her right hand to her chest. Then, with a professional but pained expression, she pushed her hand through her own chest— A virtual sensation of agony flickering across her face.

Seconds later, she withdrew her hand.

Resting in her palm was her heart ,a source of power—crystal blue, shining like a living light.

"M-Master...here is the...Seed!."

Her voice trembled.

Her body's virtual aura flickered weakly, color draining from her face.

She began to feel weak—her strength fading rapidly. All of it was happening because the Seed had been separated from her body.

"With this seed... My first dream will come true—something no one had ever imagined.

Drake ignored Shirley's pale and trembling state, his smile only widening as he took the crystal-blue Energy Seed from her hands. His face lit up with excitement and overflowing confidence.

" Hm..?"

The white being, who had been quietly observing his surroundings with childlike curiosity, suddenly felt something

strange—Attraction !

It was as if his body was being pulled toward something, demanding it without understanding why.

He didn't yet know how his virtual body functioned, but he knew one thing

clearly — He was hungry.

Slowly, his gaze shifted toward Drake and Shirley.

In Drake's hand glowed a crystal-blue, rhombus-shaped object, shining like a small sun.

The moment he saw it, the white being instinctively understood — that was food… his food.

"Is that thing… edible?"

-----

Drake Toddler, completely absorbed in the sight of the Energy Seed, was already lost in future plans, forgetting the dangerous situation around him.

The sudden innocent question from the white being snapped him out of his thoughts.

Drake turned his head and stared at him with a dumbfounded expression—like someone looking at a fool asking a ridiculous question.

What Drake is holding right now is an Energy Storage Seed.

Its only purpose was to suppress and store Virtual Energy inside itself.

And the amount of energy it could hold was beyond imagination.

If someone tried to release that much energy directly into their virtual body, their body would evaporate into micro-particles, vanishing into the virtual environment.

Death would happen in nanoseconds—so fast they wouldn't even realize when their virtual form disappeared and they were forced back into reality.

And now this stupid White Thing was asking whether this Energy Storage Seed could be eaten or not.

What the hell—?

It's an AI, yet it doesn't even know something this basic?

Energy isn't meant to be eaten, it's supposed to be controlled.

Did it really not know that this wasn't food?

Is this thing an Artificial Dumb instead of Artificial Intelligence?

Drake had no idea how to even respond to such a stupid question.

Even Shirley, who was standing nearby, was shocked.Hearing such a childish question, she couldn't help but feel as if this white creature had the mind of a little kid.

Drake steadied his emotions, looked straight into the white being's eyes and said calmly,

"I'll tell you whether this thing is edible or not… but first, I need answers."

"Oh? Ask then,"

The White figure replied, his voice clear and gentle, and without him realizing it, a tiny red dot flickered in his black abyss-like eyes.

Drake noticed the red glint but ignored it, as if it didn't matter what was happening inside that creepy body.

"How did you enter my private network?"

"...I don't know."

The confidence in that immediate answer made Drake's eyes widen. The voice felt purely truthful, yet he forced himself not to accept it so easily and asked again, more sharply

"What is your name?"

"I don't know."

"Who sent you here?"

"No one sent me."

Drake's virtual veins felt like they were pulsing under his skin. What kind of AI loses its own memory?

And could an AI even lie? No—AIs had no reason to lie. They always told the truth.

He was trying to process this when the white being quietly asked again in the same innocent tone—

"So… can I eat that thing?"

Drake froze mid-thought. A calm silence followed.

"NO!!...."

His reply was instant, sharp, wrapped in frustration and irritation.

Without another word, he placed his right hand over his chest. Slowly—very slowly—it sank inward as his artificial nano-muscles parted to make way.

A moment later, he stored the rhombus-shaped, crystal-blue Energy Seed inside his chest.

"Ahh!!…"

The moment his hand withdrew, unimaginable power surged through him. His eyes and even his mouth glowed with the same blue radiance.

Soon, his entire AI body shone brilliantly, like it was about to burst—yet it didn't.

Instead, the Energy Seed was synchronizing with its new host.

The Seed began supplying power throughout his system—and Because of this Energy Seed, Drake's body began to change.

His white hair darkened strand by strand,

Wrinkled skin tightened, restored.

From an 80-year-old frame, his body reconstructed into that of a healthy 35-year-old man.

"Ahhh… what a divine feeling. Is this the power of a God?"

Drake couldn't stop himself from laughing — overwhelmed with newfound power, confidence radiating from his face.

And with this, his second dream came true — to attain a Young, Healthy, and Everlasting Body.

AI bodies do not age. They remain forever as they were created. When Drake's human brain was converted into an AI brain, his body regenerated based on the memory stored in his nano brain cells — an 80-year-old form, fixed permanently.

Despite having the stamina of a 30-year-old, he was trapped in an old man's shell. To rewrite that form required a colossal amount of energy — something impossible without the Energy Seed.

But now, with its immense power, Drake forced a complete reconstruction of his body.
