The Mage path. By simply touching he got a basic path of what it was. The path was fundamentally about knowledge and comprehension. It is not something one simply reads and does. To become the pinnacle he has to understand the principles of what he is studying. A prime example will be a flight spell. Say for an example a flight spell is for an example a math equation 354^(Human)+(mass*weight)= Make human fly. If you substitute the flight spell with something else for example human you change to car, it stops working. So you would need the intricacies of the spell to make flight function on all scenarios. The advantages were many
It was : The fastest route to immortality, Requires mana and no need of body transformation, a powerful ranged path, enormous versatility if you understand the magic.
The disadvantages were there too: It was extremely knowledge intensive, It has the lowest physical capabilities, It needs deep understanding to become powerful.
Grey slid the mage path to the side. He would reserve his thoughts until he checked all three of them. He reached to the second clip and again knowledge rushed to him. This was a cultivation path called The Myriads art ascension scripture.
This was a bit intensive on the knowledge side and physical side. Not quite like martial artists or mages but higher than other cultivation paths. This technique requires studying then practicing until the techniques are engraved on him.
The advantages were absurd : It offered both ranged and close quarter combat, It strengthened his body , It is also very versatile, And it can incorporate any weapon.
The disadvantages was that it was the most painful among the three and the most intensive both physically, mentally and emotionally.
Grey was impressed with this one but he still did not make his choice. He slid it again to the side and picked the last one

It had the best close quarter combat and after a certain threshold one could effectively become untouchable physically. It is the perfect compliment to all other three power systems. It;s the easiest to understand and practice. It also had the highest battle prowess. It started slower than the rest ofthe oaths but at some point it was far harder to defeat them than the previous 2 paths.
Its disadvantages were also obvious, It was the hardest route to immortality, it was physically demanding and it required immense understanding of one's self.
Grey after understanding all three paths asked Li an important question.
" If I pick one, do I close myself to the rest ?"
Li hearing him smiled and Wei Ren grinned.
" No. The one you pick will be what you major on and the rest you can learn leisurely though I would recommend you put effort into them too. A jack of all trades is a master of none but often times better than a master of one "
Grey had a groan , his eyes reaching to Katsuro to whom he simply shrugged.
" He says lots of quotes from different eras , it gets annoying on the billionth time " He told Grey.
Li ignored Katsuro. It seemed he was used to his antics.

Grey was about to comment it being too long but he remembered some of this people were hundreds of thousand years old. He just placed the jade slip on his temple between his eyes and it vanished entering his body or was it his soul, he did not know.
" As for the other two paths I cannot give you a jade slip as it will cause potential damages to your body. You will have to come and learn it manually. "
Grey nodded.
