Kasenhis raised an eyebrow. Back then, when he had been modifying Hogwarts' foundations, he had happened to witness some of Viktor Krum's baffling behaviour, so he still had some impression of him.
"That Krum... what about him?" Sirius asked.
"Hmm... how should I put this? Somehow, Krum found Hermione's owl contact information at Hogwarts and her home address. He's been writing letters to Hermione since last year," Ginny said.
"So? What's the problem with that?" Kasen asked in confusion, practically scratching his head like a puzzled cat.
"The problem is..." Ginny looked around and made sure Ron was not nearby before lowering her voice. "The problem is that Ron is a little... insecure. Maybe he thinks Krum might steal Hermione away from him."
The moment Ginny said that, Kasen understood.
Seriously, Ron's brain really was built differently.
He was afraid Hermione would be stolen away?
Hermione was in England, while Krum was in Northern Europe. How exactly was he supposed to steal her away?
If anything, shouldn't Krum be the one suffering the most in this situation? Every day, he would be imagining the girl he liked practically inseparable from Ron, and at the slightest sign of something being wrong, he would probably start freaking out and think he had been cuckolded...
That was baffling behaviour too.
Even more baffling was Ron's approach.
At a time like this, instead of hurrying up and confirming his relationship with Hermione, he had gone and found some unrelated young witch in an attempt to make Hermione jealous?
"How is Ron's brain wired? Why can't I understand it?" Kasen asked in complete bewilderment.
"Isn't that normal? When I was Ron's age, I could easily do something like that too," Sirius said, scratching his head.
"What did you do back then? How come I never knew about it?" Lupin looked at Sirius in surprise.
"Back then... uh, when James had just officially gotten together with Lily, I felt like Lily had stolen James away from me. So I immediately got together with a younger Ravenclaw girl who had been pursuing me for a long time. I wanted James to feel a bit of urgency and realise he was wrong..." Sirius said somewhat shamefully.
"...I always thought you were jealous that James had found love, so you got anxious too..." Lupin said, seemingly unsure how to phrase it.
"Why was puberty so... I mean, was there nothing but meat growing inside your skulls? Why do I feel like there were just lumps of shrubbery in there?" Kasen gave his sharp assessment.
Sirius lowered his head awkwardly, while Lupin pointed at himself in confusion.
"How did I become a pervert?"
"I meant Ron," Kasen defended himself.
"So what do we do now?" Ginny silently raised her hand.
"....I'm asking you. How did you solve it back then, between you and Harry's father?" Kasen looked at Sirius.
Lupin bumped Kasen with his shoulder in exasperation.
"Has your brain short-circuited? Those two were both men. Are Ron and Hermione the same gender too?"
"Tsk, tsk, tsk... I actually might have an idea. Of course, my method was between boys. Whether it works between a boy and a girl, I have no idea." Sirius rubbed his chin.
"Then say it already."
Everyone gathered around Sirius spoke at once.
"Simply put, although Ron and Hermione still appear close on the surface, their relationship has already developed cracks underneath. Not the kind that can't be repaired, of course. It's just... an example to show that they've started drifting apart."
"At a time like this, all you need to do is give them an opponent they can only defeat by working together. Force them to cooperate, and you can turn them back into a proper duo. Of course, that's only the first step of the plan," Sirius said confidently.
"Wow. You really know your stuff." Kasen raised an eyebrow in admiration.
"Heh... because back then, Snape knew more Dark Magic than everything he had learned at Hogwarts before put together. If the four of us didn't team up, we couldn't beat him anymore..." Sirius said awkwardly.
"You make it sound as if any of you could beat me one-on-one before that," Snape's slow voice came from beside the fireplace.
Kasen raised an eyebrow and greeted Snape, while Sirius looked as if he had swallowed a fly.
In the end, Sirius still asked, "Why did you suddenly come here today?"
"Duty."
Snape succinctly turned his chair so that he was facing the fireplace, conveniently removing Sirius from his field of vision.
"All right, back to the matter at hand. Who are we getting to play the boss?" Lupin asked.
Kasen's gaze unconsciously drifted toward Snape, then awkwardly moved away again.
There was absolutely no way Snape would cooperate. They would have to find someone else.
"Wait here. I'll go get Dumbledore."
Kasen stood up and headed straight for the kitchen. Before long, he returned with Dumbledore.
"What did you all call me over for?" Dumbledore asked curiously, looking at the group gathered around him.
"As Hogwarts' number-one movie director, naturally we have something very important scene we'd like you to handle," Kasen said with a smile.
Dumbledore smiled and stroked his beard, clearly quite pleased with the title of Hogwarts' number-one movie director.
Did people really think you could just grab any random Tom, Dick, or Harry and properly stage Harry Potter's first-year heroic quest for the Philosopher's Stone?
Dumbledore genuinely had some talent in that area.
"Tell me, what do you need?" Dumbledore asked confidently.
Kasen and the others immediately began talking over one another, recounting the entire troublesome situation between Ron and Hermione from beginning to end. Then they explained Sirius's bizarrely ingenious idea as well.
In the end, Dumbledore sighed.
He turned his head and looked at the people surrounding him.
There was no sincere light of love in their eyes.
Only the excited gleam of people looking for entertainment.
To be fair...
For Ron to have encountered such a wonderful group of teachers and friends really was a misfortune for the family.
