"He walked straight to his car immediately when he finished talking, and I thought he was joking, but he was seriously going to drive my bags away. I ran across him and started shouting for my bags. Like how crazy he was. He started laughing at me and came out of his car and said to me, "Whoa, whoa. You better stop shouting because nobody will mind you, and they're aware that I am just trying to help you, but you're very stubborn. Maybe I should give you my phone to call the cops on the good man."
"Oh, no, like I couldn't believe how crazier he was than me. Like I thought I was the craziest guy in the world and that's what my best friend, Sophia, has been saying to me. I continued immediately when he finished talking and said to him, "Maybe you're crazy. Just bring out my bags before you steal them away." You know, I thought he might even get angry or upset with my words when I said he would steal my bags. But he kept smiling and opened his car door for me and said, "The door is open, and this could be your last chance to save your bags from the good man stealing them away."
"Hmm, like I didn't understand it. It was like anytime he smiled at me, it made me feel good, as if we had known each other for the past years. Like his smile made me remember my best friend, Sophia. Sophia once told me about good people and their smiles. Sophia said good people smile much more than Joker in those American drama movies. But I was really stubborn and didn't even know how long it took him to convince me to join him in his car. In the blink of an eye. I mean, when I closed my eyes and open, we were on our way to Western City. We all know those black Americans' atmosphere when their best-loved song is playing. He was crazy singing and shouting when he was driving. How loud he was made me remember my best friend, Sophia, like how we used to sing our best-loved songs in our bedroom every day."
"Even though I really loved the music he was playing. Uh, but I still asked him to shut up, stop shouting and turn off my favorite song playing. He didn't mind me and kept singing. They always say, "What we love most is made by our blood vessels, and we can't take it away from our blood cells. In the blink of an eye, I realized my voice was much louder than him singing. I joined him singing and dancing in the car when he was driving me home. In fact, that was my favorite song, and I couldn't control it. Later, I kept thinking and asking myself about how he got to know my favorite song, but the answer to my question never till now. We kept singing together when he was driving till, we reached home and dropped me off my street. So, that was how Lucas and Anna met in the 90s..."
[Miss Anna sighed and continued immediately when the wall clock was asking them to go to bed] "Hey, I think it's late and you boys should go to bed now please. Maybe we can continue from here some other time if you want to know more."
[Lefah and Garriso took a deep breath, and they still wanted to know more about what happened next. After the day, they met at the bus station. But it was late and Miss Anna also wanted to sleep because she would be going to work in the morning.]
Miss Anna smiled at them and said, "Hey, come on. I know you boys want to know more. But I have to rest for tomorrow's work journey. Come on, just stand up and go now, please...."
Lefah and Garriso stood up and walked away to their bedroom. Just a step to their door, Miss Anna held them back and said, "Hey, I think you boys have forgotten about something. So, not even a good night or kisses?"
They walked back and kissed Miss Anna's cheek and said, "Good night, Anna...."
[Miss Anna smiled back at them] "Okay, you boys should have sweet dreams tonight. Just be careful please...."
[Door opens.]
[Lefah and Garriso continued immediately and responded to Miss Anna] "Okay, Miss Pretty Hot ...."
"Hey, how did you boys just call your mama?" [Miss Anna continued and wanted to hold them back, calling her that name Mr. Lucas used to call her on the day she met him, but they didn't mind her and closed the door to their bedroom.]
[Door closes.]
[Miss Anna sighed and continued to herself immediately when they left her alone in the living room] "Maybe I think it's a good step to tell them everything about their unknown...."
[The wall clock keeps running from seconds into minutes, minutes into hours later.]
[The next day and the next section, Old Street basketball court. "Old Street NBA Court"]
[In the evening, that was around 5:00 pm. Lefah and Garriso were on the basketball court getting themselves ready to play, unlike how they used to play when their friends were not around to play with them. Lefah was sitting at the other side of the court wearing his shoes to play when Garriso was already on the court jogging with the ball. However, Garriso was really prepared to play with his brother, Lefah. Garriso stopped by and threw the ball into the net and said, "Whoa, whoa, fuck. I couldn't believe I would get that one, bro....."
[Both giggles.]
"Wow, I really love that, G. That one was incredible to throw that shit into the net, bro....." [Lefah continued immediately when he finished wearing his shoes.]
Garriso continued immediately when he had the ball again after throwing it into the net and said, "Yeah, bro. That makes me the real goat. See, man, I really got my fucking skills like LeBron James. You feel me?"
"Oh, okay, and I know you really got this shit, man. All up on my Western young niggers. Alright, yeah, alright, Mr. Goat..." [Lefah continues and snickers at Garriso]
