Alex is sending fast and strong punches at Zeref who defends all those punches with his black magic shields. These shields appear every time Alex sends a punch before disappearing.
"Hoh? Automatic defense magic?"
"I made it specially for you."
In their first meeting and clash, Zeref couldn't react to Alex's attacks. He has seen many fast attacks, but Alex was really fast. Furthermore, his Death Wave couldn't affect Alex, something that only Acnologia has ever done.
Because of that battle, Zeref made this spell that can create magic shields automatically to defend attacks that are too fast for him to see. It reacts to life-force, that's why it's made of his Black Magic and Curse of Ankhseram.
These shields are very powerful and normal people can die if they touch them. But they can only stop 1 attack from Alex before breaking and they can't absorb Alex's life force at all, which makes Zeref very sure that Alex has a very strong life force, too strong for Ankhseram's Curse to not take any effect on him.
Alex increases his attack power and Zeref's black shields immediately get destroyed now instead of taking a while to break. But they still can block his attacks, reducing his attack power and speed greatly, so Zeref can dodge them even though his shields are destroyed.
Though Zeref is very surprised that Alex still can use stronger punches. This means Alex still hasn't gone all-out and might still be able to send stronger punches.
Zeref is right and Alex is just about to do that. He's about to enhance his punches with magic because so far he is only using his physical power that's already enhanced greatly by his Jinchuriki Mode.
But both of them suddenly stop their movements because they sense something. They stop and look in the same direction with grim looks on their faces. Only 1 being can make them react like this, Acnologia.
"You really bring troubles everywhere." Alex looks at Zeref in disdain before crouching on all 4.
He springs up and jumps very strongly, breaking through the ceiling and keeps going through the upper floors. Alex breaks the floors with his claws and keeps going up until he comes out of the Cube, leaving his battle with Zeref.
In a short time, he gets out of the Cube and floats above it. His friends who hear the loud crashing sound look at him and get surprised for a moment before realizing that it's Alex. They're still not used to his Jinchuriki Mode form, so they can't recognize him immediately, and their position is quite far.
Alex senses them and immediately moves toward them. He has seen the black shadow that keeps coming closer. So he knows Acnologia will arrive soon.
"Hurry up and go back to the airship! It's too dangerous here." Alex immediately tells them to return to the airship.
"What about you? Are you planning to fight him alone?" Mira knows that Alex will try to fight Acnologia alone, so she asks with a very worried tone.
"Not really. Someone else wants to fight him, so might as well fight him together with that guy."
Alex grins while looking into the direction where Acnologia is coming. Zeref is already standing on the Cube's edge, looking at Acnologia. A rock hill is blocking Alex's sight, but his Rinne-Sharingan can see Zeref's magic power there.
"Get away as far as possible. Laxus, you take the lead. I'm off."
After giving that short order, Alex dashes toward Zeref, leaving his friends behind. Some like Natsu, Gajeel, Gray, Elfman, and Sting want to help Alex, but Laxus holds them with lightning ropes.
"Let's go back to the airship."
"LAXUS!? DO YOU WANT TO LET ALEX FIGHT ALONE AGAIN?" Natsu is angry when hearing what Laxus says.
"You think I don't want to help him? I want to. But we will just get on his way if we try to fight alongside him." Laxus makes his point.
"BUT-" Natsu shouts, but Laxus cuts him off.
"THAT'S WHY! That's why we will help him from behind. We can't move freely in the air, so we need to use our airship. There's also something that only we can do using that airship. That's why we need to go back there. Do you understand?" Laxus asks while looking at everyone with a firm expression.
Everyone is hesitating for a while before agreeing with Laxus. As Laxus says, they can't fight freely in the air like Alex. Only a few of them can fly, but it will still be difficult against a giant opponent, so they need to use their airship.
They believe in Laxus's words and all of them return to the airship. But suddenly, Mira stops, making everyone else stop too.
"Why are you stopping, Mira? You better not think of helping him fight in the front." Laxus narrows his eyes.
"No, it's not that. This Cube, it's full of the dead demons' souls. My magic is screaming at me. It tells me to consume all those souls. I feel like they can give me more power."
"You aren't lying, right?" Ultear is sceptical.
"Alright, we'll leave first. Don't force yourself and go to the airship when you're done. Don't get consumed by those demons." Laxus knows Mira is telling the truth, so he only gives her a warning before leaving.
The others follow Laxus while Mira enters the Cube again to absorb the remaining souls of the dead demons. She really doesn't want to miss this chance and waste the demons' souls that can strengthen her.
Meanwhile, Alex already stands beside Zeref and holds the Black Mage with one of his tails to prevent Zeref from running away.
"You are going to fight him too. It's your fault that he comes here, so you have the responsibility to fight him."
"We can't defeat him."
"We? You can't defeat him. And I don't care if we can't win. I just don't want him to rampage on my continent. So let's go."
Alex runs in the air toward Acnologia. He doesn't really need to run because his Rinne-Sharingan gives him the ability to fly, not running in the air. He just feels weird to just fly when he isn't transforming into Chomei who has wings, so he decides to act like he runs in the air.
Surprisingly, when he tried it for the first time, he actually felt like he truly stepped on invisible floors. It really makes him move faster in the air instead of just flying motionlessly like Superman.
Zeref sighs in defeat. He knows he can't get away from Alex, so he can only fight Acnologia too even though he doesn't want to. He looks at Alex and starts thinking that he wants to see just how strong Alex has become now, so he will cooperate and fight Acnologia too.
Alex immediately surprises Zeref because his body suddenly glows brightly. He turns into a golden light ball that keeps growing bigger. The golden light ball makes a shape and finally reveals a form that Alex never showed to anyone.
A gigantic golden bright humanoid body with 3 faces that look as if wearing masks, 6 arms, 9 tails, black lines all over his body, and 9 black balls floating on his back.
"Rikudo: Kunitsukami! (Six Path: Guardian of The Land!)"
This is Asura's Jinchuriki Mode that he used to fight his older brother, Indra's perfect Susanoo. Alex could use this transformation since he got his Rinne-Sharingan. He can use all of the Tailed Beasts' abilities in this form just like when he used the normal Jinchuriki Mode and he even has Truth Seeking Balls.
The only problem is, this transformation drains his magic power very rapidly, especially if he transforms into a giant like this. But its power is also great and he can use all of the Tailed Beasts' abilities without transforming into them because this is basically their combined form.
It's like the Six Path Naruto at the end of the war, but his form is Asura's avatar, not Kurama. After all, his Kurama mode is just Kurama, not a golden bright Kurama, but Kurama's real form.
Thankfully, the magic power consumption gets halved after implanting his 2nd Rinne-Sharingan, so he can use this form longer and it also gets more powerful.
Everyone is surprised by Alex's new transformation. Acnologia is surprised because he remembers Alex's magic power but doesn't remember this form. Zeref also has the same reactions.
His friends are even more surprised because none of them have ever seen this form before. Only Meteor doesn't seem surprised, but he looks more serious now because he knows that Alex will only use this form against an opponent he can't defeat with other forms, so this is his last card.
Acnologia roars excitedly before gathering a lot of magic power in his mouth. Alex also creates a giant Tailed Beast Bomb with his 6 hands. Then when Acnologia shoots his powerful Dragon Roar, Alex also throws his giant Tailed Beast Bomb that flies at a very high speed.
Their attacks meet and clash. Alex's Tailed Beast Bomb explodes instantly, creating a very powerful explosion that counters Acnologia's Dragon Roar. Their attacks seem equal and they destroy each other.
But the impact of the clash is so strong that the whole continent shakes slightly as if there's a very strong earthquake here. The ground right below the clash is destroyed and many trees in a wide radius around there are falling even though the clash happens really high in the sky.
Fairy Tail's airship that flies quite far behind Alex is also pushed back by the shockwave. Mages all over the continent are also alerted by the clash of these 2 incredibly powerful spells. This is the clash of 2 true monsters.
