All Cass had done was take a break. That was it.
Simple. Normal. Actually encouraged as something that he should do.
He'd gone to go relieve himself in the bathroom, maybe take a few minutes to read a book on the new bench in the bedroom. Put some space between him, his work, his bedroom, and allow Edgar to take a break too.
The man didn't take breaks when he saw that Cass was working, which was not what Cass wanted. He should be able to work at his own pace, not the pace that Cass worked. So, Cass had decided to answer the call of nature and breathe a little.
