Lucian kept tugging Cass down the alleyway, glancing around, his nose in the air. It was clear he was searching for something while Cass felt his heartbeat in his throat. His stomach was twisting, he felt like he had something underneath his skin. He was so anxious he felt like he was going to throw up.

Cass suddenly found himself in a stairwell that didn't smell like a hot dumpster in summer. It was surprising as Lucian pulled Cass into the stairwell, protecting his head as he did so.
