Inside Falbium's absolute barrier, the world had been reduced to a hellscape of primal violence.
The Juggernaut Drive was not a power-up; it was a curse. It was the manifestation of the malice of every past Dragon Emperor who had died with regrets.
"KILL! KILL! KILL!"
The roar didn't come from Issei's throat, but from the armor itself—a chorus of a thousand dead souls screaming for blood. The colossal Red Dragon, now a mountain of jagged crimson metal and organic muscle, didn't fly; it trampled the air. Issei lunged, his maw gaping wide, clamping down on the shoulder of the White Dragon.
CRUNCH.
Vali, lost in the silvery-white madness, screeched—a sound like grinding steel. The White Dragon didn't flinch. Instead, the gems on its chest flashed with a blinding luminescence.
[DIVIDE! DIVIDE! DIVIDE!]
The command was issued not once, but a hundred times in a second. The space around Issei's jaw twisted and collapsed. The Red Dragon's head was crushed by invisible gravity, forcing it to release its grip.
Vali spun, his massive tail—now a bladed whip of energy—slamming into Issei's midsection. The impact sent the Red Dragon crashing into the ground with enough force to liquefy the bedrock.
[DIVIDE! DIVIDE! DIVIDE!]
Vali dived, intent on erasing his rival's existence. But as he descended, the crater below erupted.
[BOOST! BOOST! BOOST! BOOST!]
The Red Dragon rose from the magma, its size seemingly doubling in an instant. The crushing gravity of Vali's Divide was shattered by an aura so dense it possessed physical mass. Issei didn't dodge. He caught the diving White Dragon by the throat with a clawed hand the size of a tank.
"I... WILL... DEVOUR... YOU!"
Issei's chest plates slid open. The Longinus Smasher—the ultimate cannon of the Boosted Gear—began to charge. But this wasn't the focused beam; it was a chaotic sphere of annihilation, fueled by Issei's own life force.
Vali, pinned and staring into the abyss, didn't panic. The madness in him welcomed it. The wings of the White Dragon folded forward, the feathers turning into reflectors.
"REFLECT!"
BOOM.
The point-blank detonation was blinding.
Inside the explosion, the two beasts were tearing each other apart. Claws ripped through divine armor. Fangs shattered on reinforced scales. Blood—both human and dragon—rained down, evaporating instantly in the heat of their aura.
Inside the explosion, the two beasts were tearing each other apart. Claws ripped through divine armor. Fangs shattered on reinforced scales. Blood—both human and dragon—rained down, evaporating instantly in the heat of their aura.
High above, Falbium Asmodeus frowned, his lazy demeanor finally cracking. He raised a second hand, reinforcing the barrier as spiderweb cracks began to appear on the inner surface.
"Feeding on their own life to fuel this destruction..." Falbium muttered, watching the carnage. "If they keep this up for another minute, there won't be hosts left to save. Just two dead husks and two lonely dragons."
But down in the pit, neither Issei nor Vali cared. They were burning their souls to ash, happily paying the price to see who would be the last monster standing.
Deep inside the chaotic storm of the Juggernaut Drive, Vali Lucifer's consciousness was drowning. The curse of the past White Dragon Emperors gnawed at his mind, screaming for blood, demanding he burn his life force until nothing remained but ash.
He was sinking into the dark abyss of his lineage.
"Kill... Destroy... Lucifer..."
"That's fine. I don't have any interest in living long. Just, I feel regret being born in this age."
But in that cold, suffocating darkness, a memory flickered. It wasn't a memory of power or magic. It was the smell of simple, warm soup.
Vali saw himself as a child, small and trembling in a corner of their grand, cold estate. His father stood over him—a looming shadow of hatred, screaming about Rizevim, about the cursed blood, about how Vali was a monster born from a failure. The blows rained down, heavy and cruel.
But then, she was there.
His mother. A human woman with no magic, no demonic strength, and no status. She was frail compared to the devils surrounding her. Yet, she threw her body over his, taking the kicks and the screams meant for him.
"Don't touch him! He is my son!"
Later, in the quiet of his room, she would bandage his wounds with trembling hands. She would feed him—simple, human food that she cooked herself because the servants refused to serve the "half-breed."
Vali watched the memory play out. He saw his mother smiling through her own bruises, stroking his silver hair.
"Why?" the Vali in the abyss wondered. "Why did she fight? She was powerless. She was nothing compared to a Devil. By the laws of the Underworld, she should have submitted. She should have feared."
Then, the realization struck him like lightning, shattering the curse's hold.
She didn't submit.
Despite being weak, despite being human, her will was unbreakable. She stood against the "supremacy" of his father and grandfather. She refused to let their power define her love as mother. She created a sanctuary for him where the laws of the mighty did not apply.
"That..." Vali whispered in the void. "That is true Supremacy."
"That..." Vali whispered in the void. "That is true Supremacy."
Rizevim believed supremacy was ruling others through fear. His father believed supremacy was the purity of blood. But they were wrong.
"Supremacy is the power to exist solely by one's own will," Vali declared, his voice echoing through his soul. "It is the strength to look at the 'absolute' powers of the world—fate, lineage, gods—and deny them. Just as she denied them."
Vali didn't want to go around fighting and just fight Rizevim to death anymore. He wanted to rise above him. He wanted to attain a height so absolute that no one—not Rizevim, not the curse, not destiny—could ever touch him or what he cherished again.
"I am not a slave to the Dragon's curse. And I am not a ghost of Lucifer."
Inside the cockpit of the berserk White Dragon, Vali's eyes snapped open. The chaotic, purple aura of the Juggernaut Drive froze.
[ALBION! WE WILL BE TAKING BACK THE CONTROL!] Vali roared, grabbing the raw magic tearing his body apart and crushing it into submission.
[Vali? What is this?! The curse... you're overwriting it?!]
"I am defining my own Law!"
The massive, monstrous wings of the Juggernaut Drive shattered, revealing smaller, sleeker wings made of compressed, divine light. The demonic energy didn't vanish; it fused with his human spirit and dragon power, creating a new, singular state of existence.
The Law of Supremacy was born: The absolute refusal to be influenced by external forces.
"I, who am about to awaken..."
The chant changed. It wasn't the scream of a beast, but the decree of a Monarch.
"Am the White Dragon Emperor who will lower the principles of domination to the ground!"
"I walk the road of the Supreme with infinite hope and unbreaking will!"
"I shall become the Emperor of the White Silver Star!"
"And I shall lead you to the Heaven of the Unconquered!"
[EMPIREO JUGGERNAUT OVERDRIVE!]
The explosion of energy inside the barrier turned from chaotic noise into a harmonic hum. The monstrous White Dragon vanished.
Hovering in the sky was Vali Lucifer, clad in a new, streamlined armor of silver and crystal. Twelve wings of divine energy spread from his back, radiating a pressure that wasn't heavy, but absolute.
He had bypassed the limitations of a Devil. He had discarded the curse. Vali Lucifer had ascended to become a Super Devil. Although his core hasn't been stabilized and engraved with law yet.
He looked down at the rampaging Red Dragon, his voice calm, echoing with the authority of his new Law.
"Issei Hyoudou. Wake up. A beast cannot defeat a King."
Vali Lucifer, floating in his divine Empireo Juggernaut Overdrive, raised a single hand toward the roaring, mountain-sized Red Dragon. The difference in scale was comical—Vali was a speck of silver dust against a crimson hurricane. But the Law of Supremacy dictated that size was irrelevant before absolute will.
"Compression Divider," Vali whispered.
There was no beam, no explosion. The space around the colossal Red Dragon simply collapsed.
CRUNCH.
The massive, chaotic Juggernaut Drive didn't just stop; it folded in on itself. The roar of the beast was cut short as invisible, absolute pressure crushed the dragon's wings, snapped its tail, and forced the towering monstrosity to its knees.
The "divide" ability had evolved—Vali wasn't just halving power anymore; he was compressing the very existence of his target, reducing the infinite rage of the dragon into a manageable singularity.
Inside the crushing darkness of the armor, Issei Hyoudou was screaming.
The curse of the past possessors clawed at his mind. "Destroy! Burn! Die!"
But outside, Vali's voice cut through the madness, amplified by his new authority.
"Is this it, Issei?" Vali's voice was cold, disappointed. "You promised me a battle for the apex. But all I see is a slave to a curse. If you cannot dominate your own power, how can you expect to dominate the battlefield?"
Vali descended, floating eye-level with the massive, snarling dragon head.
"Supremacy is the will to stand alone," Vali declared, his silver wings flaring. "But Domination... Domination is the will to rule over everything, including yourself. Wake up, Red Dragon, or I will crush you into dust right here."
________________________________________________
Deep in the abyss of his soul, Issei Hyoudou stood amidst the screaming storm of the Dragon's curse. The voices of the past possessors were a cacophony of rage.
"Destroy everything! Burn it to ash!"
But Issei didn't scream back. He stood silent, his mind drifting to a singular image.
He saw Algernon.
He saw the Emperor sitting on his throne, surrounded by enemies, yet wearing a calm, faint smile. He remembered how Algernon didn't scream or rage to get his way; he simply spoke, and the world obeyed.
That is true strength, Issei realized. Not the mindless rampaging of a beast, but the cold, absolute control of a King.
Then, the memory shifted. The golden light of Algernon faded, replaced by the bleeding red of a dying sunset in a park.
He felt the phantom pain of a light spear piercing his gut. He remembered the face of Raynare, the Fallen Angel who had killed him on his first date.
He remembered the cold helplessness of dying alone, realizing that his peaceful, mundane life had been snatched away by a supernatural world he didn't understand.
They snatched my peaceful life away, Issei thought, his mental voice growing colder, harder. They killed me because I was weak. Because I was just a piece on the board for them to move or discard.
[Partner...] Ddraig's voice rumbled, sensing the shift. [The rage... it is solidifying.]
"I don't want to be a beast," Issei declared to the darkness. "A beast just reacts. A beast lashes out because it is in pain. That isn't winning. That's just flailing."
He clenched his spiritual fist, crushing the red mist of the curse.
"I want to be like Him. I want to look at the unreasonable world—at the Fallen, at the gods, at destiny—and force it to kneel. I won't be controlled by this power. I will RULE it."
Issei roared, his voice shattering the curse. " I WILL DOMINATE IT!"
The effect was instantaneous. The chaotic, screaming vortex of the Juggernaut Drive didn't just fade—it knelt.
The purple, poisonous aura that had been leaking from the armor stopped moving. It froze in the air, trembling not with instability, but with fear. For the first time in history, the curse of the past Red Dragon Emperors wasn't being suppressed or rejected; it was being conquered.
"A King does not rampage," Issei thought, his mind crystal clear amidst the storm. "A King does not ask for power. A King commands it."
He realized the true nature of the Domination he sought. It wasn't just about overpowering an enemy. It was the absolute authority to define reality within his reach. It was the power to look at the infinite, destructive energy of a Dragon God and say, "You work for me."
[Partner...] Ddraig's voice echoed, sounding terrified and awestruck. [The curse... you aren't just absorbing it. You are enslaving it!]
Issei clenched his fist. The massive, jagged claws of the beast form began to crack.
Issei decreed. "And I am not a victim. I am the one who holds the leash."
The shattered fragments of the Juggernaut armor peeled away, dissolving into pure, crimson mana. But this mana didn't dissipate. It swirled around Issei's human form, dense and heavy, obeying his will with terrifying precision.
"I, who am about to awaken..."
The chant began again. It wasn't a scream of rage. It was a cold, imperial proclamation that vibrated through the bones of every living being in Kuoh.
"Am the Red Dragon Emperor who has enslaved the principles of Domination!"
"I walk the Royal Road of the Crimson Star, commanding the Infinite!"
The crimson light solidified. The chaotic energy was compressed, folded, and forged into a shape of absolute order.
"I shall become the Crimson Dragon King!"
"And I shall force the world to kneel before my Crimson Light!"
[CARDINAL CRIMSON JUGGERNAUT OVERDRIVE!]
BOOM.
The shockwave wasn't an explosion; it was a pulse of gravity. The dust settled instantly, forced down by the weight of Issei's presence.
Hovering in the sky was no longer a beast, nor a simple armored warrior. Issei Hyoudou had transcended. He was clad in Crimson Armor that radiated a majesty far beyond the Boosted Gear.
It was sleeker, thicker, and covered in complex magical venting ports. The gems glowed with a deep, ruling red. A mantle of solid energy draped from his shoulders like a royal cape.
He had entered the realm of the Super Devil.
Issei opened his eyes. The green visor flashed, analyzing the world not as a battlefield to survive, but as a domain to rule.
"Vali," Issei spoke. His voice was calm, but it hit Vali with the force of a physical blow. "You seek Supremacy—to exist above the laws."
Issei raised his hand. The space around him twisted, the very atoms aligning to his will.
"But I have chosen Domination—to be the Law."
Vali Lucifer, floating in his Silver Armor, felt a shiver run down his spine that had nothing to do with fear. It was the thrill of facing a true equal.
"The Unconquered White Star against the Ruling Crimson Star," Vali whispered, his voice trembling with excitement. "Come, Issei! Let us decide whose Law is absolute!"
Issei clenched his fist, and the crimson cannons on his armor—the Solid Impact boosters—shifted into position.
They vanished.
The collision that followed was silent, as the laws of physics shattered under the weight of two Super Devils rewriting the world.
