The boy wailed.
His voice cracked with desperation as he flailed wildly.
His blade stabbed deep into the side of the mamba’s head.
Wooheon reeled from the pain.
The second stab sank deeper into his coils.
“M-Mr. Kang!”
The black mamba went limp and slumped to the side.
The boy yanked the knife from the side of the fallen snake.
Just as he raised it high above his head, Yueul shifted instantly into a weasel.
He sprang forward, paws outstretched, launching through the air like a dart.
With all his strength, he sank his teeth into the boy’s wrist, just as the blade came down toward Wooheon.
“Aaagh!”
His long fangs pierced deep into flesh.
Harder than the last bite.
Yueul clenched so tightly his jaw trembled.
With a vicious snap, he tore away a chunk of skin.
The knife clattered to the floor.
The boy fell back with a heavy thud, landing on his behind.
Yueul gave him no time to breathe—lunging again before the boy could move.
