Having Yuigahama-senpai restrain her, hold her back — even though Senpai knew Yuigahama-senpai wouldn't really be effective, her presence would still affect her one way or another.
What's more, she'd unconsciously grown a bit wary of Yuigahama-senpai, and a rift had opened up between them.
What a tactic!
Iroha Isshiki was impressed.
Senpai's move was truly ruthless!
Still, it didn't matter.
She wasn't going to let go.
She, Iroha Isshiki, would absolutely not back down on this — there was no way she'd let Senpai's scheme succeed.
"Yuigahama-senpai, don't think a single 'mm-hm' is going to let you off the hook. Later, I'm going to do this and that — I'll make sure you understand the authority of your boyfriend. Defy me, and you'll pay the price,"
Iroha Isshiki bared her claws, venting her displeasure and her strong feelings.
She knew Yui Yuigahama would hardly change her mind and would surely keep her promise to Lin Ye — but that didn't mean there was nothing she could do to make Yuigahama-senpai rein herself in a little, hold back a little.
She had to make Yuigahama-senpai learn to be afraid. Only once she knew fear would she show restraint and self-control in the future.
"Whatever. No matter what you do, Iroha-chan, I won't give up. I won't break my promise to Lin-kun."
She'd made up her mind, fully certain — sure she'd never break it.
Yui Yuigahama was resolute about keeping her promise to Lin Ye. Faced with Iroha Isshiki's threats and intimidation, she wouldn't be afraid — she'd never back down.
"Fine, fine, fine. I'll see just how far Yuigahama-senpai can hold out. I can't wait,"
A bright smile bloomed on Iroha Isshiki's face. She patted Yui Yuigahama on the shoulder, and finally even ran her fingers along the pink bun's cheek.
Feeling the softness and smoothness beneath her fingertips, Iroha Isshiki declared the sensation wonderful and comfortable.
If a man got to touch this, he'd absolutely love it beyond words!
So many men would be smitten.
If she were a man, she'd hold her tonight and touch her thoroughly — no, more than touch, she'd nibble too, really savor the whole thing.
Iroha Isshiki felt envious — why wasn't she a man?
Men had it so good, men were so great — they got to enjoy so many pretty girls.
She gazed at her girlfriend Yui Yuigahama, then glanced sidelong at the aloof Yukino Yukinoshita.
Sure enough,
Senpai was gorgeous too, utterly heart-stirring!
Her heart wouldn't stop racing.
"I wonder who'll end up with a beauty like Senpai someday,"
Iroha Isshiki blurted out the remark.
She genuinely couldn't imagine it.
She was curious what kind of man Yukino Yukinoshita would eventually choose as her partner.
"I... I don't know either!"
It was Yui Yuigahama who answered — the pink bun assumed Iroha Isshiki's question had been directed at her.
And honestly, she had no idea at all.
As for Hayama Hayato, Sobu High's popular boy, she thought he was handsome, but she didn't feel she held any special thoughts or feelings for him.
To her, they were just normal classmates, nothing more.
As for other boys, she wasn't close with any of them — Lin Ye was about as close as it got.
And as for Lin Ye, Yui Yuigahama thought it over carefully and decided she didn't have any particularly special feelings for him either.
Sure, whenever the topic of romance with Lin Ye came up, she'd always blush and turn shy, especially when Iroha Isshiki talked about having her join in as one of Lin Ye's girlfriends.
But that was just a normal bashful reaction — it had nothing to do with Lin Ye specifically.
If Lin Ye were swapped out for any other boy, she figured her reaction would be exactly the same, no different at all.
So she had no special feelings for Lin Ye. Right, none at all.
Yui Yuigahama told herself so.
But soon,
Yui Yuigahama felt the icy stare of the girl beside her, Iroha Isshiki.
"Wh-what's wrong?"
"You're cheating,"
"Huh?!"
Yui Yuigahama froze. Cheating on what?
She had no idea what that meant.
"I said you're cheating,"
"Huh."
"You already have a boyfriend, but what was Yuigahama-senpai just saying?"
Hadn't she just said she didn't know what kind of boyfriend she wanted?
In that moment, Yui Yuigahama understood. Facing Iroha Isshiki's accusation, she wanted to explain, but couldn't find a reasonable explanation.
"If that's not cheating, what is? Yuigahama-senpai, eating what's in the bowl while eyeing what's in the pot — that's way, way too much,"
Faced with Iroha Isshiki's plaintive accusation, all she could do was laugh awkwardly, utterly at a loss.
Yui Yuigahama wanted to explain, but she knew Iroha Isshiki wouldn't accept any explanation anyway. What this kouhai wanted wasn't an explanation — just her guilt and flustered reaction, nothing more.
All she wanted was to have some fun.
Yui Yuigahama understood clearly now what Iroha Isshiki was after.
So all she had to do was steady her own mind as best she could and avoid getting rattled.
Yui Yuigahama chose silence as her response.
Seeing that it wasn't working, Iroha Isshiki pressed further. "Yuigahama-senpai, that silence means you agree! And if you agree, I'm going to..."
"No, I don't,"
"So Senpai does react after all, hahaha,"
She kept finding angles, digging for meaning, never giving Yui Yuigahama any chance to dodge.
"Anyway, Iroha-chan, I don't have the problem you're describing. Please be mindful,"
"Fine, I'll be mindful, I'll be mindful, is that good enough?"
Iroha Isshiki didn't push any further.
That was enough for now.
Next, it was someone else's turn.
Iroha Isshiki's gaze landed on Yukino Yukinoshita. "Senpai, what about you, Senpai? What kind of boy do you want to find in the future?"
"None,"
Yukino Yukinoshita spoke.
But that answer clearly didn't satisfy Iroha Isshiki.
"Come on, Senpai, tell me. Though I already know it definitely won't be someone like Senpai,"
But the next line left Iroha Isshiki stunned.
"Actually, exactly his type,"
Even Yui Yuigahama froze on the spot.
Both girls' eyes fixed on Yukinoshita's face.
A moment later, Iroha Isshiki burst out laughing. "Hahaha, so Yukinoshita-senpai's learned to joke around too! Hahaha,"
"If you actually liked Senpai's type, there's no way you'd keep turning down his confessions so many times!"
"Unbelievable, I really didn't expect you to joke around too, Senpai,"
Laughter kept bubbling up, and even Yui Yuigahama believed it was a joke.
But Yukino Yukinoshita's next line left both girls stunned all over again.
