In some local myths, the Netherworld is often described as a place where souls find peace after death. However, the "Netherworld" they were discussing was literal: a dark, lightless world of the dead — not the world the deceased were meant to enter.
This referred to the "Inverted Netherworld" phenomenon that was to occur on the Tenth Continent, in the unknown regions of Antarctica.
Though individuals on the isolated island, far overseas, found it nearly impossible to communicate with the continent, the deployment of numerous Magic Guide Beacons along the maritime route meant that the Communication Array between the Isolated Island Church and the Holy City was operational.
Thus, upon receiving data from the Ghost Ship, the Offshore Nun immediately reported the existence of the Inverted Netherworld phenomenon back to the headquarters in the Holy City.
