The young knight's patience ran out amidst his agitation, and he waited until the end of dinner, during the tasting of after-dinner drinks, to ask his question.

Queen Grey, seated at the head of the long table, swirled the red wine in her crystal glass in the light. Her profile appeared both majestic and alluring in the interplay of light and shadow. Once again, Blana realized that Her Majesty the Queen was not only a ruler but also a young lady, and he couldn't help but avert his gaze.
