After the empress left the mansion, Alaric immediately looked for his father.
"Dad, I have something to tell you. I think you should know about it."
Lucas raised an eyebrow and inquired. "Is this related to what you discussed with Her Majesty?"
Alaric nodded. "That's right…"
"Her Majesty said that she wants to marry me."
Lucas who was sipping tea almost choked upon hearing this. "What did you say?"
"Her Majesty wants to marry you?" He was stunned, but when he recalled the empress's actions over the past two years, it all began to make sense.
It turns out my suspicions were true.
Lucas had already suspected that there was some motive behind the empress's care.
Realizing that he had lost composure, he quickly adjusted his emotions. "How did you respond?"
Alaric shook his head and replied with a wry smile. "Her Majesty caught me off guard. How did you think I responded?"
