An ominous feeling crept over me in the middle of my battle against August.
With the power of Erasure, I had managed to turn the tables on him and overcome his Vainglory.
It wasn't enough to guarantee my victory, but I could finally fight him on equal ground.
Aether would never lose to Aura.
My position wasn't bad.
I wasn't losing.
And yet...
'I have a bad feeling about this...'
I couldn't shake the unease gnawing at me. My thoughts kept drifting elsewhere despite the violent battle raging before me.
At some point, August stopped talking, and so did I.
Our battle had become far too fast to afford either of us the luxury of conversation.
By reinforcing my body with Aether and Aura simultaneously, while imbuing my swords with the power of Erasure, I was able to inflict devastating wounds upon him every time we exchanged blows.
Yet every injury I dealt him disappeared almost immediately.
