Amanises gave "Her" a long look, then glanced down at the shot before her. She gulped it down in one breath and slammed down the glass, the fiery tang invading her system as she closed her eyes.
"…Am I that obvious?" She uttered, following a sigh. It came from her genuinely perplexed side—she was quite confident in her concealment skills. She could understand the Sun, as "He" had a strong tendency of peeping into everyone's secrets. But if even the Moon could see through her… Well, she'll be quite the embarrassing Dark Knight.
Lilith's "drunken" form slumped on the table, "Her" large voluptuous chest pressed against the cold hard wood. "Her" beautiful crimson eyes piercing as "She" shifted on "Her" seat. "A random probe giving rise to a revelation." "She" pursed "Her" lips before chuckling, "Don't taken your skills for granted though," "She" straightened, holding out "Her" empty glass. "My current unique disposition, together with my experiences acquired in those bygone times, shaped my intuition towards you."
Amanises observed as a shadowy figure shaped itself in the bar up front. Its vague features was clear in her eyes—sharp masculine physique, neat appearance with appropriate clothes fit for the jazz ambience. However, the creature lacked typical Sanguine traits, but she could sense a distinct life within.
An ability of a Naturewalker? She equally handed her empty glass to the attendant, while pointing towards a lighter, but colorful looking drink in the backdrop. As he retreated with speed, she cast a teasing eye towards the "Beauty Goddess". "What experiences? You were a Marriage Broker?"
Lilith's frown came before "Her" retort, "Don't you mean Marriage Counselor?"
"I said what I said," Amanises felt satisfied as she was given a fruity cocktail.
"I was more like a Divorce lawyer instead," Lilith murmured, letting the glass on the approaching bartender's dish float to "Her". "She" finished it in an instant.
"Geez! How did I not abuse my abilities more? Did you know I could, and kind of still within these confines, make all sorts of wonders?"
"Like the Everlife Peach?" Amanises asked casually, recalling some urban legends. She now believed it was no mere legend given the proud smile Lilith wore.
"Indeed," Lilith puffed out "Her" chest. "That King of Cyclopes likely stole my memories, hence why I couldn't remember."
"Ah, but the legends also say whoever eats it will turn into an anus and a mouth, with the transformation coming undone only when both organs kiss each other."
"That was absolutely that Flying Lizard's son's doing," Lilith stated with a deadpan expression.
Amanises simply took a sip of her drink. Her amusement constant as she eyed the "Beauty Goddess". The latter was completely oblivious to this as "She" made another glass float, before emptying it just as fast. "As I said before," "She" leaned "Her" cheek on "Her" hand, crimson eyes locking with black, "I'm inherently selfish. Though in your case, I'm actually quite generous."
"But some clarification," "She" stuck out a finger. "No killing me, duh. Though, it has more to do with me sensing a better opportunity for your digesting or acting..."
Amanises nodded. Though she couldn't hype up her connection to the Spirit World to that of the Ex-sequence 0 Moon, she too vaguely felt another opportunity would soon appear for her acting.
Lilith now showed two fingers. "I don't know when you wish on taking that step, but that part of me likely doesn't don't plan on 'sleeping' anytime soon." "She" leaned "Her" forearms on the table, peering at the assortment of drinks, all elegantly labelled and stored behind a reflective glass. "Her" eyes blinked, looking past it—at vague scenes.
"To truly enjoy something I once took for granted. "He" called it humanity, and it makes sense. A true respite after all that." "She" shook "Her" head. "I now stand at a point where most memories of my true life are insignificant before the haze that occupies the rest of my lifespan."
"Her" eyes grew unfocused as the blush on "Her" face became more pronounced. "Of course, if I truly wished to strengthen my sense of self, I'd already be with my daughter and my other children. But… How can they ever stand proud given the current diminutive state of their ancestor?"
Another shot appeared in "Her" hand which "She" naturally cleared. "She" licked "Her" prominent canines, then shot a look at Amanises. "This is where you're supposed to sweeten my mood, Knight of Fraudulence."
"Everything you said are facts," Amanises remarked gleefully, her slow drinking speed a stark contrast. "Apart from the Goddess of Beauty, I doubt most of your children have the capacity to process such nuances."
"Woah," Lilith shook "Her" hands in disapproval. "I concede, they are slow. But they're still my babies."
The Knight of "Fraudulence" clearly didn't care as she drank; her senses were suddenly triggered. She knew the conversation was about to shift unfavorably. Just in tune, Lilith was about to speak when Amanises abruptly beat "Her" to it.
"So," she offered the Sanguine Ancestor a warm smile, "How exactly did you survive that curse."
Lilith returned a long look.
…
Time for some serious analysis. The chaotic and miscellaneous realm, interwoven with all sorts of information and beings stilled as he wandered through it. Not even the myriad of terrifying mystical creatures carving out some areas as theirs could remain upon sensing him. Even the chaos of the Spirit World could be reshaped with a hand wave.
With his level of authority over Sefirah Castle, Klein knew he could seal the Spirit World in a way that even True Gods trapped within would find it hard to breakthrough. This was a level of control not even the Phoenix Ancestor, the Dragon of Imagination, or the 'Hidden' Uniqueness could achieve. Even the Seven Lights fell short.
The information flow of this mystical reality rearranged into various paths, flowing with his input under the intense and curious illumination of the Seven Lights above.
First things, first, the Chaos Sea. Klein's perception shifted, peering deep into the Eastern Continent while the many paths in the Spirit World converged into three. The term Chernobyl resonated, causing the Lights to flicker. At the same time, three images formed. One depicted an Inextinguishable light supporting all while casting a long, and deep shadow. The second was chaotic looking, but relatively distinguishable in its flaming oppressiveness. The third was elusive, but together with the first, partly bled with Klein's perception of Chernobyl.
The Five Uniquenesses are accounted for—Sun and Hanged Man; Tyrant; Visionary and White Tower. The corresponding sequence 1 Beyonder Characteristics are also included with "Them", or in "Their" Subsidiaries. He 'zoomed in' on the three images. The Unconventional: Error, Red Priest, Paragon—with at least a sequence 1 Beyonder Characteristic each… and some newly eaten additions for the Tyrant.
The order receded, pushing down the images and paths—all perspectives and directions now led to a deep void. Only a silver of it depicted a mountain range, while another was an area basking in Twilight. The sight caused the Lights to shake, before they stilled upon noticing Klein's casual demeanour. The influence of Outsiders could not spread due to him.
For Sefirah Castle—My self, Gregrace currently surfing through the Cosmos, Antigonus, and Aurmir. The latter two each hold a sequence 1 characteristic of the Fool and Error pathways, while a Key of Stars is subsidiary under Death. Gregrace and Aurmir both hold Death and Twilight, with the sequence 1s being in their ranks… Only she can claim Darkness.
The scenery once more shifted, taking into consideration the Black Emperor, Justiciar, Moon, Mother, before settling on the two indistinct ones.
Hermit will Hermit. While Wheel of Fortune—only fate can decide that one… Grisha and Soniathrym seem to have realised this as well… Aurmir should soon...
The darkness residing in one's heart and mind swelled within him, but could equally find no purchase. At best, it could only be exploited.
Klein smirked as he looked past the bottomless Abyss and the endlessly grey-fog, he could spot both the Demoness and Chained Uniquenesses and their corresponding Beyonder characteristics, all following their own instincts. Naturally, he and his avatars had done more than just locating Lilith after appearing in the Abyss.
The Chained is following a somewhat indistinct path, but would inevitably fall to Tolzna. As for the Demoness. He extended his hand, before frowning. However, the frown soon fell to a smile.
Indeed, you're problematic. Klein let his hand fall while shaking his head. There were few things that could trigger his intuition like this. Worse, after he specifically patched some of his shortcomings.
Indeed, after noticing the blindspot he had ignored courtesy to a certain "dead" great existence, Klein was extra wary. Error stood apart from the Maker; naturally, deceiving his own blinded perception allowed his intuition to sense what was previously ignored. In this case, his intuition told him the Calamity of Destruction pathways were dangerous. A profound sense of danger that resonated deep even with the Loophole in rules.
His gaze lingered on the shapely Demoness Uniqueness trying to piece up the broken fragments of the Mirror Worlds.
Fate is still miraculous to great existences. He sighed, mentally quoting the Genie. Acting principles weren't meant to be understood, then promptly abandoned upon advancing to the next sequence. In this vein, a Magician never performing unprepared was a critical side that could summarise competent Beyonders under the Fool pathway. However, one foundational principle was often overlooked:
A Seer possesses reverence towards fate. Klein felt the flood of memories, but this wasn't reflected on the Spirit World.
I dare say only the Original Creator could stand up to what "They" had become. Yet, even those Pillars had miserable fates.
It was relatively easy for him to do what he did with the Anarchy Unqiuenesses—descend upon all rouge high level characteristics and Uniquenesses and seal them. Hoard all valuables, and become a True Gatekeeper. But whether it was the Celestial Worthy, the Primordial God Almighty, or the current Sun God—they all taught him a similar lesson.
Well, I do have my unexplained 'cheat' in the form of that barrier. He allowed a self-deprecative smile, rubbing his stomach as he felt the 'barrier' separating him and the Celestial Worthy's mostly dormant will. That, and his time travel remained the biggest mysteries, but he wasn't sure he wished to know the truth behind this matter.
His attention was caught by the scenery changing out of his control, to that of a boundless grey-fog—the Western Continent's barrier. He looked up and nodded at the Seven Lights. Indeed, playing the Ultimate Gatekeeper is unwise. Then again, that doesn't mean I'll be inactive when it comes to them.
He transferred some key knowledge to the Lights, before wandering away.
…Maybe I should imitate Lilith as well. Focus on things I keep pushing because of all the work I force upon myself.
