Actually, Ye Qiu had his own considerations when seeking cooperation with the Jia Family. He was certainly planning to join the army in the future. Once he leaves, it's uncertain whether Niu Xue Mei can maintain the business, but it's different with the Jia Family involved. The Jia Family has been rooted in the county for several years, expanding their grocery business and establishing many connections. With their involvement, others would have to think twice before making a move.
Then there's the Ye Family; he only has two daughters. If anything happens to him, his parents do have a reason to intervene with Niu Xue Mei and his two daughters. Wouldn't the family assets then be taken over by his older and fourth brother?
But Jia Zhihe wouldn't leave the money untouched, would he? After all, the other Ye Family members are different from him, would they just hand over all this money to the Jia Family?
