The leaves of the sakura tree, under the sunlight, glow with a warm green. A gentle breeze brushes by, and they dance like playful children. A few little birds, attracted, fly over to perch on the branches, chirping away. As if sensing the gaze from the room, they flutter their wings and fly to a nearby branch.
Yodan Yasuko stretched her neck to take a peek outside — only catching the tip of a small tail. She sighed in disappointment, wiping away tears that had unknowingly spilled from her eyes, and continued to stare in a daze at the green leaves outside.
Before this, she had never imagined that one day she would so desperately yearn to watch the scenery outside, to long for even the company of a single bird. Perhaps, is this karma?
