She sighed. "Your mom is still holding a grudge against me. I'm worried that she might not treat Charlotte well."
"Ms. Elliot, I hope you don't get overconcerned." Zane lowered his voice and said, "If Charlotte were to be with me, I won't let my mom get between us."
Samantha nodded in relief.
Beholding Zane and his determination, she knew she could count on him. Zane was a man who kept his words, she believed.
Soon after, they arrived at the front door of Noah's Ark.
Someone turned up before them when Zane was about to open the door.
It was Jordyn, and she was pointing a pistol at her own head.
"Mom, what are you doing!?"
"Zane, I'll put an end to myself right before your eyes if you let her go," said Jordyn while staring at Samantha grimly.
Zane frowned.
"Mom, you shouldn't be making my life difficult," he lowered his voice and replied in an unyielding manner.
