It is no wonder so many people were prostrating themselves before King Titus as we left the capital city. Knowing that King Titus cured hundreds of people that day, I should not be surprised that people believe him to be a messiah.
Evidently, a new religious group known as the King Titus Faithful has emerged. The Church of Grace, the largest and most influential religion on the continent, is considering acknowledging King Titus as their Messiah.
How short-sighted of me. I was so focused on King Titus' effects on the aristocracy, I did not consider the church. This has great and far-reaching implications.
If the Church of Grace does not acknowledge King Titus, they risk losing a great deal of credibility along with a great many followers. But if they acknowledge King Titus, the church would be subordinating itself to him. King Titus would have complete authority over the church, its doctrine, and its clergy.
