The minutes rolled past and the carriage slowed down coming to a complete stop.
Gabrielle looked out the window, seeing a large brick wall that surrounded the castle.
The brick wall had four watch towers, two guards stood stationed at every tower protecting the castle. The colors of the walls were an off burnt red, and the height of walls and watch towers were over 70 ft high.
She sat back in her seat, her heart beginning to pound against her chest.
'It's completely fenced in… There's no way out… Once I enter the castle I'll be trapped inside with a man whom I hate… Ansel I wish you were here with me,' She worried, her mind filling with a million thoughts.
"Who goes there," A guard from the watch tower shouted.
Kenton opened the door to the carriage and got out.
"Open the doors," Kenton commanded and got back inside the carriage, closing the door behind him.
He sat next to Gabrielle, feeling the seat shaking from her trembling.
