"Where were you?"
As soon as Bai Meiyue walked through the gates of the Lei family mansion, she heard Lei Qian's grumbling. Pausing in her stride, she turned to look at the man who was eyeing her as if she had abandoned him; Bai Meiyue could not help but roll her eyes. "Stop sounding like a grudging lover. It's not like I ran away and left you behind."
"But where did you go?" Lei Qian repeated his question. He had known Bai Meiyue long enough to know that she was avoiding his questions.
"Shopping." Bai Meiyue sighed and raised the two books in her hands that she had brought for him. "Where else do you think I will go?"
Lei Qian frowned as he looked at the two books that Bai Meiyue had brought with her. He could not help but furrow his brows even deeper. Taking the books from her, he read the title, and as soon as he finished reading the title of the book, his expression changed at once. However, before he could say anything, Bai Meiyue handed him another book.
