The sun is setting.
As the orange light rays from the sun shoned down from the window, there revealed Lianhua who was lying in the bed, sleeping quietly.
His face looked a little pale and cold sweats can be seen trailing along his face.
He really looks exhausted.
After a few moments, His eyes slowly opened.
He slowly get up in a sitting position and stared blankly as he is still trying to recall of what just happened and why did he end up again on his bed.
He was confused.
Just then, he felt that someone is staring at him.
Xiao Li Zi, who is also just woken up, stared at Lianhua. It seems like Xiao Li Zi had fallen asleep too while waiting for the other to open it's eyes.
The scene before him is none like other he has seen before.
A graceful beauty with a calming aura.
The cold gentle winds brushed Lianhua's hair like a flower that was swayed by the wind. A flower that seems to be relying on something to keep itself alive and well with the green lifeless eyes that is staring at him. These pair of eyes Infront of him seems soulless and no shine could be seen in it.
This was all in Xiao Li Zi's perspective. He doesn't want to see this side of Lianhua.
A side that is fragile and helpless. He doesn't want to imagine how Lianhua suffered. Did he cried for help yet no one approached him? Could he only look at that door shut closedly knowing that he'll never reach it?
He knows he just met him yesterday and he felt like he knew Lianhua for years....no, centuries...or even more than that. A familiarity that is somehow close but vague.
If he can heal or treat other people with his herbs and amazing skills, why is he lying unconsciously on the floor with sweats all over? Isn't it ironic for such a person who is a master at his field but couldn't benefit those skills for himself? It's like they here for a reason but continues to exist for no particular reason.
As he stared at Lianhua, he felt bas on how little he helped him. He even insulted Lianhua yesterday and part of him really regretted it.
"X-Xiao Li Zi...?" Lianhua's eyes widened and seems to be slowly recovering it's light. He didn't notice another presence so he was shocked to see the other. It's like he lost the person infront of him. He smiled as tears continuously flows down on his cheeks and ignored it. Before the other could react, Lianhua suddenly threw himself to Xiao Li Zi and both fell from the bed.
"Urghhh....my back....w-what are you doing??" Xiao Li Zi was shocked of Lianhua sitting on top of his lower body. This position alone is embarrassing and he could only pray that no one would barge in and see this.
"X-Xiao Li Zi....your'e warm...and alive..." Lianhua smiled with tears that flows in his eyes.
' HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO FEEL?! STOP SAYING WORDS THAT SCARES ME WHILE SITTING ON TOP OF ME! '
Xiao Li Zi is still processing on how he could get out from this position because everything is happening too fast.
"I-im so sorry..." Lianhua clenched his fist. He clenched it to the point where his hands are trembling.
"What are you saying? Why are you spouting words as if I was once dead?" Xiao Li Zi is trembling already in fear and couldn't take it anymore words of this man's joke.
"If....I didn't kill them, would you still here by my side until then? I-if I asked for your forgiveness..... Perhaps you would not hate and resent me..."
Lianhua uttered those words so sincerely almost like he really meant every word he says.
The sun is setting and you can see it's beautifully deep orange color covering Lianhua's room. Fom the wall to it's floor, to the furnitures and ornaments that seems expensive and elegantly looking. But there's this one thing that even the sun can't lay it's rays on. Lianhua's face.
Xiao Li Zi was shocked and confused at the same time. This is not the Lianhua he knew yesterday. The Lianhua yesterday was a bit feisty or so, but now, there's no difference between him and a shattered glass.
Xiao Li Zi is curious and couldn't familliarize every word Lianhua says.
Do they actually know each other before? If so, when was it? Where did they meet? What happened? So many questions flooding his mind that he wants to ask him.
Xiao Li Zi has never seen this man in his whole life until yesterday, or so he thought.
Xiao Li Zi decided to ask to know further about the fragments of their possible past.
"Forgiveness? What do you mean?"
Lianhua stopped crying upon hearing the other's response.
"For.....for..." His voice was dry this time and seems like he couldn't say any more words.
Suddenly, Lianhua's eyes is closing slowly and his body was losing balance and was about to fall onto the ground but just before his head hits the floor, Xiao Li Zi acted fastly and extended his arms and used his hand to carry Lianhua's body by carrying it from it's shoulder.
"LIANHUA!!"
Xiao Li Zi was scared and trembling but this is to no use this right now and he must act fast to help him rather than stalling and shout it's name.
He rose up and carried Lianhua carefully and made him lay down back to it's bed.
He grabbed the blanket and covered Lianhua's body in a gentle manner.
Xiao Li Zi couldn't understand Lianhua's current condition and how all of this happened.
He was sweating, trembling, and also scared of what might possibly happen again so, he grabbed a chair and sit on it, waiting for the other to wake up.
