The beach had become a nightmare under the moon.
Hundreds of monsters poured out of the dark waves like a flood of teeth and claws. Goblins first—short, green-skinned, with hooked noses and yellow eyes—splashed ashore carrying rusty swords, spiked clubs, and chains. Behind them came taller beasts: hulking figures with horns curling from their heads, skin like cracked leather, eyes burning red. Flying creatures circled above—bat-winged things with long tails and talons, screeching as they dove low over the sand. Weapons glinted in the moonlight: curved blades, jagged spears, hammers with spiked heads. The air filled with growls, hisses, and the wet slap of feet on wet sand.
One goblin at the front, with a crooked scar across his face, licked his lips and grinned wide.
"Hahaha, there seems to be lots of delicious food here!"
Another goblin beside him, shorter and fatter, chuckled as he hefted a spiked club.
