Greetings.
For this tale, we will be covering the events of Rushmore. Now, it is important to note the political divide that exists between this state and the others.
While the rest of Commonwealth, save for Stickville, tolerates mumans due to their work in the Super Society, Rushmore despises them due to multiple factors such as their destructive nature, tendency to attract threats, religious beliefs, and well, the common practice of humans to fear something they do not understand.
Due to this, the Super Society, or any supers for that matter, have no presence or authority here. Mumans that appear are hunted by multiple muman-hating organizations, like The Enforcers or private bounty hunters.
However, that was about to change.
Coast City, The State of Rushmore, West Commonwealth...
2125...
Mr. Biscuit, one of Canman's old contacts, had retired from the super business long after the death of the Danger Squad and was seeking a normal life with his girlfriend, Marge.
After many failed attempts, he tried to get a job at a local factory, but he was denied due to his muman appearance.
Meanwhile, a billionaire in his car talks to his chauffeur about the value of mumans and how he can exploit them for his own gain. The chauffeur, distracted by his words, fails to see an incoming truck coming at them.
On his way home from the failed interview, Frank notices the car about to get into an accident and uses his super strength to get in its way and stop it from crashing.
The owner of the car, Oliver Task, takes an interest in Biscuit.
Once Biscuit heads home, he tells Marge about his failure, but she does not care since she saw his save on the news.
While the news team tries to frame Biscuit for the accident, saying he is the cause, Marge knows better and congratulates him on his heroism, pleasing Frank.
Just as Frank is about to have fun with his girlfriend, Marge, Oliver arrives at his doorstep and tells Biscuit he is assembling a team of supers to protect Coast City and wants him to lead it.
Biscuit is reluctant due to muman activity being illegal in Rushmore, but Oliver informs him that the Commonwealth government has a loophole that allows private contractors to use mumans for their activities if approved.
Oliver used his connections to get this approved.
Marge convinces him to do it, thinking of the pay, as they are financially struggling. Frank reluctantly agrees to Oliver's deal.
The next day...
Biscuit arrives at Oliver's Tower and meets his team: Peter Pine, a homeless rogue in need of a job; Stripe, a muman vigilante; and Burnaboy and Creature, two homeless muman siblings trying to escape prosecution. The team has their first bit of training in Oliver's secret training facility, but they fail miserably.
Oliver sends them on their first mission to stop an eco-terrorist from destroying one of Oliver's factories. Biscuit tells him that the team is not ready for combat, but Stripe, the former leader, feels her pride is hurt. She agrees to go and convinces the team to go as well, undermining Biscuit's authority.
The team arrives and faces the terrorist, who goes by the name Exterminator. They are nearly killed due to bad teamwork and Stripe's constant meddling in Frank's plans, but a well-placed attack from Peter Pine turns the fight in their favor, and they defeat him.
The team returns to Oliver's Tower to celebrate, but Biscuit is angry at Oliver for sending them in when they were not ready, and he warns Oliver not to do that again.
Stripe tries to tell Oliver she wants to be the leader of the team again, feeling Biscuit is inadequate, but Oliver refuses, as he feels Biscuit will turn around eventually.
Oliver then leaves to attend a secret meeting.
At his home, Biscuit considers quitting, but Marge convinces him otherwise. Soon, Peter Pine appears and wants to take Biscuit on a trip to bond with the team.
Biscuit refuses, as he does not like going out at night in case he encounters anti-muman assailants, but Marge says she wants to go, so Biscuit has to go by proxy to protect her.
They end up at a local bowling alley where Creature, in her human form, Stacy, and Burnaboy are waiting for them. The group then bowls to their hearts' content, with Stripe watching from outside the building, too shy to engage with the rest of them.
Suddenly, Stacy defeats one of the best bowlers in the alley. Outraged that he lost to a muman little girl, he calls up his friends, who intend to beat her up, but the team backs her up and defeats the bigots.
Once the monster is taken in by the police, Officer Darling meets with the heroes and urges them to join the police force or Super Society, but they refuse. Darling gives them his number anyway.
Once the group is done, they all head home, with Burnaboy and Stacy staying at Biscuit's home, and Marge seeing them as her kids in a way. Peter heads off for an important meeting, though.
Stripe returns to her home to watch over her near-death, cryogenically frozen father, one of the first ever mumans to become a super even before the First Five: Patriot.
And Oliver meets someone.
This meeting is the main reason he formed the team in the first place: the leader of the Superior Gang, Mob boss Rob Moss. He tells Oliver that a leader of his rival gang, Cyberforce, is staging a prison break and needs Oliver to take care of them.
Peter meets up with Oliver and Rob Moss, and the plan is set.
A week later...
The team is training and learning how to battle properly until Oliver arrives with a mission for them.
There is going to be a prison break at Coast City Muman Penitentiary, and he needs them to stop it. He wants to make the team the prison's paid bodyguards, and this is his chance.
Frank refuses at first, not wanting to protect a place that wrongfully imprisons mumans, but Oliver convinces him that most of the mumans there deserve it due to abusing their powers.
Though he knows Oliver is lying, Frank agrees to go anyway.
The team arrives at the prison and battles the escaping criminals. They have an easy time at first until someone disables their collars, which block their powers, leading to some criminals overpowering the team.
Villains like Bruteus, Ink, and Oyster try to escape, but the Cyberforce members—Virtual, Virus, Trojan, and Worm—block the doorway and start killing the muman escapees.
Cyberforce is actually a group of humans that underwent cybernetic enhancement to become mumans so they could access the muman prison and kill as many as they could.
Luckily, Biscuit and his team battle them to protect the prisoners.
What they do not know is that while they fight, the guards start killing prisoners in secret due to their hatred of mumans.
The Cyberforce members are ordered by their leader, Cypher, who used his powers to organize the breakout, to kill Biscuit and his team, so Cyberforce battles the team while more criminals die at the hands of the guards.
The team is defeated by Cyberforce, and Biscuit sees they really are not ready for this. Suddenly, a mysterious vigilante, Rocket Man, appears, bearing a resemblance to the Super Society veteran Captain Rocket.
Rocket Man defeats Cyberforce, causing Virtual to use his teleportation ability to escape. Stripe thanks Rocket Man and tries to ask who he is, but he escapes. Biscuit tries to chase him down with Peter, but the two are unsuccessful.
However, while this is happening, Stacy sees the guards killing more prisoners, and she attacks them. As the guards are about to arrest her, the others return and get the guards to back off.
Soon after, the Warden arrives, furious at the results of the team, and threatens to arrest them all if they do not leave.
Back at the base, Oliver scolds the team for allowing Cyberforce to escape and losing an important client of his. When Stripe tries to defend the team's actions, Biscuit agrees with her and tells Oliver they need training, not even mentioning Stacy's outburst.
During training, Biscuit and Stripe get into a fight about who gets to lead the team, but Peter gets in the way to stop them from killing each other.
Stacy and Burnaboy follow Biscuit home to bond, but they are kicked out. Luckily, Marge lets them stay and scolds Biscuit on how he treats the team, leading to an argument.
Biscuit, in a fit of rage, leaves town and ends up in a bar in neighboring Beach City. A group of drunken men try to assault a woman nearby, so he attacks them and easily dispatches them. He is seduced by the woman, named Loretta, while drunk, and is taken to her home, but he regains his senses and refuses to sleep with her.
He still falls asleep anyway.
Feeling respect for him, Loretta lets him stay at her place for the night.
The next day...
Stacy goes into a panic about Biscuit, but Marge calms her down, trusting Biscuit not to get into any trouble. Stacy and Burnaboy head to the base to train.
Peter goes to visit his sick sister and promises to get the funds to cure her. When a bigoted doctor asks him to leave, as his presence is upsetting the clientele, he resists the urge to purge the whole hospital and leaves.
He is then picked up by Oliver for a meeting with the boss.
Oliver is thoroughly scolded by Rob Moss due to his team's mistake now that Cyberforce is back in action, but Oliver promises to get rid of them, and Rob orders Peter to kill him if he does not.
Cypher meets with his gang and formulates a plan to take the city after the Superior Gang is dealt with. First, they need to get rid of the new supers in town. Cypher, with the help of Trojan, creates a giant dragon from a lizard and sends it into the city.
Biscuit wakes up and finds out about what happened, but Loretta assures him nothing went on between them, calming him. Biscuit then heads home.
The next day...
The team sees the dragon attacking the city and hops into action.
They battle the creature with Stripe leading and manage to take it down. However, it turns into a more humanoid form and uses a new ability to turn nearby lizards into monsters. However, Rocket Man arrives to help the team as they are surrounded.
Rocket Man faces the Cyberdragon one-on-one and almost loses, but Biscuit arrives just in time, and the two defeat him. They try to interrogate the creature, but it self-destructs before they can get any good information.
With all that done, Biscuit asks Rocket Man to join the team, but he refuses, saying he cannot fully commit to being on a team.
Biscuit returns to Marge, and the two reconcile after their argument.
Suddenly, though, Officer Darling arrives to tell Frank he is under arrest for Loretta's murder.
Cyberforce sees that the dragon failed and decides to take down the team themselves.
The next day...
Frank is taken to prison, and Darling explains that Loretta was shot dead in her apartment right after Frank left. Frank vehemently disagrees, and surprisingly, Marge backs him and even believes his story. Peter and the team hear about this and tell Oliver.
Luckily, Oliver has someone on the inside who can help them.
He and Peter go to Rob Moss and tell him about the situation. Rob refuses at first, but one of his members, Buzzshock, who is interested in Peter, convinces him. He takes them to meet Mindwipe, who can settle the whole mess.
Oliver, Peter, and Mindwipe arrive at the morgue where Loretta is being kept, and Mindwipe uses his abilities to read her dead mind. He manages to find out that a man named Antonio killed her right after Frank left her home.
They then head to Beach City to confront him.
Virus and Worm launch a surprise attack on the police station to kill Biscuit and plow through the local police officers who try to fight them. Some choose to avoid them, viewing their lives as more important than some muman.
Darling frees Frank to fight for them, and he takes on both Virus and Worm. He is fatally wounded saving a local cop named Anthony, inspiring Anthony to stand against the superpowered criminals.
Luckily, right after he freed Frank, Darling called the rest of the team, so Stripe, Burnaboy, and Stacy as Creature arrive, and after a long, hectic battle, they take down Virus and Worm, inspiring Anthony even more and causing him to get a crush on Stripe.
However, Virtual arrives and takes his two teammates back to base with his ability to teleport.
Frank is then taken to the hospital.
The next day...
Peter, Oliver, and Mindwipe arrive at Antonio's house and find out he is a member of the local mob of Beach City. Peter kills them all while Oliver and Mindwipe find Antonio.
Antonio, in a robotic suit he stole, attacks them, but Mindwipe mind-controls him into giving up the information, and Oliver records it. Mindwipe then gives him a seizure.
With its owner dead, the suit flies away. Oliver then recognizes it as the armor worn by the legendary hero, Steel.
Marge arrives at the hospital with Burnaboy and Stacy to comfort Frank, and she refuses to give up on him. Suddenly, Darling arrives with good news.
Antonio had provided proof that Frank is innocent and had killed himself, according to the mysterious information they received. Frank is cleared of all charges.
The group celebrates with a mini-party at the hospital until they are kicked out by the nurses.
The next day...
Cypher scolds his gang for their failure to take down Frank in prison, but he promises them that they will take the team down along with the city. He then calls on the help of his old friend, Vizard the Great. The two then hatch a plan to defeat the team.
Oliver sends the team to the far-off island of Kultur to rescue its king, named Phatcat, after he was kidnapped.
The next day...
The team arrives on the island via plane and runs into the locals, who tell them of evil spirits that attacked the king in his palace and took him.
Stripe is suspicious of their story, not believing in spirits, but Frank assures her they are real. The team then heads into the forest to search for Phatcat. They are surrounded and attacked by strange creatures. Frank realizes these may be the spirits that kidnapped Phatcat and orders the team to feign defeat and get captured.
The group does so and is taken to their base deep within a volcano. That is when they find Phatcat along with the monster Tiki Tiki.
Tiki tells them Phatcat was ruling his people with an iron fist and treated them poorly. The people prayed and prayed for someone to interfere, and one of them was given powers by an unknown being and given the name Tiki.
He then tells the team to abandon the mission and allow him to sacrifice Phatcat to the gods of the island.
However, Frank refuses. The team battles Tiki and his army of minions, and Frank ends up facing Tiki alone, but he is defeated. As Tiki initiates the ritual to sacrifice Phatcat, Stripe loses her cool and launches Tiki into a pit of lava down below, killing him and angering the gods, who cause a large volcanic eruption.
The team evacuates the volcano and heads over to the local village to evacuate the people, but the lava is fast approaching. Frank calls Oliver for help, and Oliver reluctantly accepts. He calls Mob boss Rob Moss to help out, and Rob agrees, annoyed.
As the lava quickly approaches the team and civilians, they start to lose hope until a mysterious being appears: an extremely powerful muman called Scion. Using his elemental powers, he freezes the lava in place and stops the volcano with ease.
Just as Frank tries to talk to him, Scion shoots him with a fire blast and tells him they are eternal enemies and will face each other in battle soon enough. Stripe tries to attack him, but Peter stops her and tells her she does not stand a chance. Scion then leaves, with Frank in serious danger from his wounds.
Meanwhile...
While the team was out of the city, Cyberforce—consisting of Virus, Trojan, and Worm—makes their move and robs the GenTech laboratory. The police try to stop them, but they are easily outmatched.
Anthony sees this and decides that being a mere policeman is not enough, so he suits up to become a superhero, The Star, wearing a costume closely related to Stripe's. Sadly, he is nearly killed by a fatal attack from Virus.
As he is dying from the attack, a scientist named Dr. Gene finds his body, takes him to where his private experimental exoskeleton is being hidden, and attaches it to him.
Star wakes up, and Dr. Gene quickly explains the situation.
Star hops back into action soon after. The criminals acquire the tech they are after and try to leave, but they are stopped by Star. Star then easily takes down Worm, Trojan, and even Virus with his cybernetic enhancements and weaponry.
Cypher and Virtual teleport in, and Star tries to fight Cypher too, but he is quickly dispatched. Just as Cypher is about to teleport himself out of the lab, Rocket Man arrives and battles Cypher.
The two have an intense battle in the skies, which ends with Cypher winning, but with fatal wounds. Virtual finds him and brings him to the others. He then teleports himself and his gang out of the lab. Star then makes himself scarce. On his way out, he finds an injured little girl and discovers that she, in fact, is Rocket Man.
Star quickly takes her to the hospital.
The next day...
The team arrives, and Darling tells them about the robbery that happened at GenTech and how he managed to secure a security deal for them. Frank, even while fatally wounded, chastises Oliver for helping an evil king like Phatcat stay in power and orders him to help the people of Kultur. In a fit of anger, Oliver threatens Frank about firing him.
Frank quits right then and there.
Burnaboy and Creature follow him after seeing this, due to the deep bond they have shared. Stripe, after seeing the kind of man Oliver is, quits on the spot and joins Frank. Peter does not quit, shocking the team.
Cyberforce lick their wounds and celebrate their victory at GenTech, having acquired a powerful piece of technology called the Matrix.
Vizard arrives, telling them the distraction he set up for Oliver's team in the form of Tiki Tiki was successful. They then move on to the next phase of their plan.
Rob Moss arrives at Oliver's base and threatens to kill him after losing the team and letting Cyberforce get what they want.
Anticipating this, Oliver reveals the suit of armor he had been preparing for this very day, which he calls the Tank. He activates it and uses it to attack Rob.
Rob orders Peter, who was actually a gang member of his whose job was to keep an eye on Oliver, to kill him on the spot, but Oliver in his Tank suit takes him down.
Rob then reveals his true identity as Scion and uses his immense power to defeat Oliver. In a desperate bid to save himself, Oliver activates the failsafe in his suit and blasts off.
Just before Scion can chase him down, Oliver activates a self-destruct button in his tower, blowing it up and killing everyone inside.
Except Scion and Peter, who hide inside Scion's forcefield. Scion then pledges to hunt Oliver down and take down Cyberforce in order to make the city his.
