Their plan set in motion, Alex grabs his phone and calls Shalnark.
"Alex... what is it?" he asks. "We're a little busy."
In the background, Alex hears gunshots and loud screams, as if Shalnark is currently on a battlefield.
"Look, powerful assassins have gathered to kill you... I believe the chain user might be among them. I'm not sure, but I saw one of them with chains around his hand. It's a blonde guy, pretty young too... I didn't catch his name, but he was related to the Mafia. I couldn't quite take him out because there were, like, six other assassins... and two Zoldyck members, the family head Silva and the former head Zeno...."
"I see, we'll do our best to aim for him. Do you need help?" Shalnark asks.
"No... just take care. I'll stay undercover, and if something goes wrong, I'll backstab the assassins," Alex replies. "Tell the others what I said. See you soon!"
Shalnark sounds visibly relieved. "Thank you, goodbye, my friend!"
"hehehe," Alex snickers, rubbing his hands together, causing Menchi's face to visibly twist into one of disgust.
"I get it, Alex, but that's just disgusting... you remind me of your friend Rishi, only that you openly show your emotions and seem to be enjoying doing that," Menchi says.
Alex's smile disappears, realizing how he's acting. "Sorry... I guess for once I'm glad things are progressing smoothly. Let's just... take care of things and end this. Maybe you are right, this isn't really something I should get used to."
Princess Jewel disagrees! Soulmate is doing great! Soulmate should keep up the good work.
"Let's just... deal with this," Menchi says. "For now, you did well, but don't get used to it or enjoy it."
"Let's move through the building, but stay away from Zeno and Silva... once their fight starts, we'll carefully approach using Zetsu," Alex orders.
"Sounds like a plan indeed," Menchi states. "But remember... it was Chrollo who hired Illumi to kill the Ten Dons... though it's possible he's not aware of his demise... there is a good chance that he is. Don't get complacent!"
"Fuck..." Alex mutters, now getting nervous. "Come to think of it... you are right. There are also more Zoldycks remaining... Maha and Kalluto... I think those two might be capable of doing the job, too. Anyway, I'll plan to taunt Zeno and Silva... their strength is their emotionless and calm decision making as assassins. If I can get them to forget that, they'll be open to our attacks."
Soulmate shouldn't worry! Princess Jewel will deal with the assassins.
"I conjured some grenades on the way here, and I'm still full on AURA..." Alex says, taking out exactly three, handing one to Jewel, one to Menchi, and keeping one for himself.
"Let's go..." Alex says, finally moving out. "We might as well walk around and see if there are any opportunities to steal stuff."
"... Are we petty thieves now?" Menchi asks, looking visibly disheartened.
A True Princess takes whatever she stumbles across! As a Princess, she owns anything the Peasants own anyway. This is not stealing, but merely taking possession of things belonging to Princess Jewel in the first place.
"Just... shut up, please..." Menchi says, her vitality draining by the second.
"Anyway, Menchi... one last thing before we move out! System, use [Superior Supporter Weapon-Rank Upgrade] and two [Superior Supporter Armor-Rank Upgrade] on Menchi!"
Immediately, Menchi is engulfed in a crazy light, looking stronger than ever before.
Within seconds, the flash of light disappears, and Menchi's knives look wickedly sharp, while her clothes look more durable and nimble, with a few more details added to them, no longer looking like a skimpy outfit, but an actual, agile Hunter uniform, while still looking incredibly stylish.
"Full Deep Purple now..." Alex says, smiling. "You look way stronger!"
She briefly hugs Alex, whispering, "Thank you!"
"No problem... time to do this!" Alex says, cracking his knuckles.
Moving out, Alex, instead of desperately hunting for the assassins, moves toward the auction site, so as not to arouse suspicion.
The entire building is in panic as Alex hears more and more gunshots and explosions outside.
Seeing a large gathering of people, Alex barely catches Zeno and Silva Zoldyck talking to the guests, announcing that they'll be hunting down the person who has infiltrated the building. Alex enters the building, standing next to a few guests.
"Even if you were fully armed," Alex hears Zeno say, "it would take me less than seven seconds to kill the lot of you. The enemy is capable of a similar feat."
"Seven minutes, seven minutes is all I can spare to play with you," Alex jokes, gesturing wildly, causing some of the guests to step farther away.
Your future hinges upon this fight! ❤️
"Poor performance indeed," Alex continues.
Complete. Global. Saturation. ❤️
"Shut the fuck up with your stupid quotes!" Menchi yells, losing her patience and smacking Alex on the head, inevitably hitting Jewel, who is sitting on it. Jewel fires back with a shot of web, hitting Menchi right in the face.
Things are really getting interesting now, eh, Chris? ❤️
"Okay... enough fooling around, things are about to get serious now," Alex says, barely able to stop himself from laughing.
"Stupid... rotten... spoiled... pet... worst education ever..." Menchi mutters angrily, tearing the web off her face.
... lol. I'd better not laugh, or she might go crazy. Anyway, that calmed me down... okay, time to get serious. One mistake can cost me my life.
Alex then sees Zeno and Silva leave.
"Now's the time to get serious. When Zeno activates En... we'll follow them, staying just outside his En radius," Alex says, thinking things through.
Exactly as predicted, Alex indeed feels Zeno's En around him. As he is engulfed by the En, he can't help but stop his steps.
"It's so calm... and serene... this won't be easy... Jewel, Menchi," Alex says, before turning toward Menchi. "We can still play it safe... with everything we've accomplished, we can return with huge profits."
"Alex... let's do it! If things go wrong, use your Leave card, alright? Jewel and I... we have insurance," Menchi decides.
"... right. Let's do this then!" Alex announces, sprinting after Zeno and Silva, the Aura of his En moving upstairs and no longer covering him. Alex, Menchi, and Jewel use Zetsu, erasing their Auras, their presences vanishing.
As Alex chases after them, he feels the Aura disappear altogether.
Soulmate! What kind of strategy will Soulmate use? Ambush the assassins... or act like we're allies and then backstab them?
"Ambush," Alex and Menchi say at the same time.
"The two most powerful assassins will never lower their guard. Your usual tricks won't be effective, it's good that you realize that yourself, Alex," Menchi says, a weak smile on her face.
My usual tricks, huh? I'm getting a reputation for using cheap shots....
Princess Jewel senses some seriously strong Auras above her!
As Jewel comments, Alex hears the sounds of battle, the ground above being torn apart.
"No tricks... provocation. Jewel, you are our joker, you stay hidden while Menchi and I will fight them after our initial ambush," Alex explains.
Understood!

Alex raises his hands, conjuring five cards by using Grim Reaper's Card of Destiny. He is now holding five cards, the limit of his skill, namely: 10❤️ K♦️ A♦️ Q❤️ J♠️.
"Wow... that's cool," Menchi says, staring at the razor-sharp metallic cards in his hands.
❤️ High draws!
"❤️ Indeed, Jewel," Alex replies, speeding up and finally reaching the closed entrance to a large hall. Inside, he hears the loud sounds of battle.
"Let's do this..." Alex whispers, causing Jewel to jump off his head and walk toward the door at the very back, while Menchi stays right next to Alex.
Alex quickly draws his [Magoroth's Legacy R2], immediately conjuring Magorian's Rage Arrow, using Thundara Arrow, applying Ko, and hiding it all with In, before finally preparing a Spiritual Arrow.
"Impressive..." Menchi mutters as she sees Alex conjure an incredibly deadly arrow that suddenly turns almost invisible, its presence incredibly weak.
"Ready?" she asks.
"Yes!" Alex says, nodding at her.
Immediately, Menchi opens the door quickly, yet silently, and Alex peers inside the room.
He sees Silva standing with his back to Alex while Zeno is using Dragon Head, a large Dragon created with his Aura through his palms, while Chrollo has conjured Owl's cape and is dodging his attacks, while holding onto it and his book, named Skill Hunter, which allows him to use the Hatsus he has stolen.
Silva... or Zeno... since Zeno feels completely secure with Silva watching over him and backing him up... of course I'm going for the old man! Best course of action: I'll feign targeting Silva only to change the course and attack Zeno. You can do it, Alex!
Alex finally lets loose, his consciousness entering the arrow as he controls it to fire straight at Silva, aiming right for his neck, but adjusting its course so Zeno is positioned right behind him, allowing him to have two chances to hit.
As the arrow is about to approach Silva, the man suddenly tenses up and darts to the side.
Shit! Just how?! Crazy instincts!
Alex tries to adjust the course of the arrow, but only manages to graze Silva's shoulder, drawing blood nonetheless.

Deciding not to ruin his chances of hitting his actual target, Alex does not overdo it in trying to hit Silva and redirects the arrow towards Zeno.
"Old Man!" Silva yells loudly, causing Zeno to tense up.
Chrollo's eyes light up as he suddenly darts forward, waving around his cape and pressuring Zeno.
With no choice, Zeno throws his Dragon Lance at Chrollo, forcing him to evade, while dodging the arrow himself by jumping into the air.
Smirking and reacting instantly, Alex's arrow chases after Zeno. As the arrow is about to hit, Zeno twists his body mid-air, but Alex still manages to slightly adjust the course, hitting Zeno's forearm and tearing off a small chunk of flesh.

"Well... could have gone better," Alex mutters. "But still."
He draws his [Draining Meteor Sword R2] along with his [Skullflame Shield R2] and enters the room alongside Menchi, who has drawn her freshly upgraded Knives. Behind his shield, in his left hand, are the five metallic cards he conjured earlier.
Silva and Zeno regroup, moving together while putting a little distance between themselves and Chrollo.
"You..." Silva mutters, his eyes flaring with confusion and anger as he recognizes Alex.
"Sorry about that," Alex says, rubbing his head. "I missed my shot. I was trying to help you; you looked like you could use my help."
"Young Hunter... if you think a joke can save you from your predicament, you couldn't be more wrong. Do you realize what you've done...? Zoldycks don't forget... they don't forgive. On my professional honor as an assassin, I swear that I'll take your head," Zeno says with icy-cold eyes.
"Shut the fuck up, you worthless old imbecile. I don't forget! Your pathetic grandson tried to kill me, so I killed him. I also met your other grandson, a weak, pathetic, mind-controlled boy with white hair, much like your brute garbage son over there. With two imbeciles down, their corpses fed to the rats of Yorknew, you're next. Tonight... the Zoldyck Bloodline will disappear forever! That's the price for aiming for my life!" Alex roars, unleashing his Aura, causing Silva's, Zeno's, and even Chrollo's eyes to widen in surprise, utterly unable to believe Alex's words.
"K... Killua..." Silva mutters, his expression completely shattered, the cold, controlled, and emotionless facade from earlier completely gone.
"You..." Zeno mutters, taking a step forward but stopping, unable to fully commit to an immediate reaction.
Alex then quickly throws his cards at both assassins, while Menchi lights up her Annihilation Grenade and throws it as well.
Jewel... they're completely distracted and confused; I can feel their anger, sadness, and thirst for revenge. Even they can't remain calm after hearing such a thing. This is your chance! You better do it right, or my head will roll next....
