"Sasuke-teme! How dare you kill Sakura!"
"Naruto-dobe! How dare you kill Yamato-sensei!"
"I killed Yamato sensei because he is clearly the imposter!"
"..." Sasuke felt the urge to slam his face in his hands, "He was supposed to be a spy that Tachibana planted in our group so that we could feed wrong information to Kumo!"
"But why did you kill Sakura!?" Naruto still shouted, causing Sasuke to stuff a fistfull of forest dirt and gravel into Naruto's mouth before speaking, "Because Sakura was a spy sent by Iwa! We had to kill Sakura so that the Kumo spy disguised as Yamato-sensei could take us back to the Kumo base under the guise of a rescue mission for Sakura and kidnap us!"
"Eh…" Naruto looked at the Sakura that was lying on the ground with confusion.
He prodded and poked her body a bit before exclaiming, "!This sakura isn't as flat as Sakura!"
Sasuke blushed but then immediately kicked Naruto's butt before speaking up, "Stop speaking about that! We have to infiltrate the enemy's base on our own now. Tachibana said that we had the highest possibility of clearing the mission and returning with enemy intel."
"Hai!" Naruto nodded seriously before staring dumbly at Sasuke, "So… what do we do now?"
"We need to think of a plan to enter Kumo's base now."
Naruto frowned hard before speaking up, "Why don't we just pretend to be Kumo shinobi?"
Sasuke looked at Naruto like he was an obvious idiot before an idea sparked in his mind because of what Naruto had said which caused him to look at Naruto like he was a hidden genius, only Naruto took the gaze as a compliment and began to ride on its cocktails.
"Haha~ Did you see that~ I'm a total genius aren't I!?"
Sasuke simply shook his head after giving Naruto a listless gaze.
Only Sasuke immediately turned serious before he spoke to Naruto once again, "Gather their bodies and open their eyes for me."
Naruto gave Sasuke a weird look as he asked him a simple question, "You're going to do that weird jutsu again?!"
Sasuke didn't say much and simply gathered the Kumo Spy's body first before opening its eyes and peering into it with his own.
"Mangekyo Release : Pathway to the Underworld." Sasuke mumbled before his right eye spun to form a five pinwheel Mangekyo. The shape was odd, as if the figure was meant to be a six pinwheel shape but one of the fans was missing.
Suddenly the eye into which Sasuke was looking, widened as if the person behind it was alive. Only, before anyone could say anything else, the person opened their mouths and wailed in horror.
The wail was low in volume, escaping only as barely above a gasp, however it still sent chills down Naruto's spine.
It sounded like someone was groaning for death. Trying to die only to be still left alive after all hope was taken from them. Almost as if they were being forcibly dragged back from the afterlife, completely against their will and wishes.
An almost invisible figure passed through the dead body into Sasuke's eye, as if it were fully absorbed before another piece of the pinwheel fan on Sasuke's eye vanished, creating and even larger imbalance in the shape of his right eye.
Sasuke then stepped back and looked at his handiwork.
The body disguised as Yamato stood up on its own before looking in Sasuke's direction.
"Master, your command is my order."
Sasuke finally smirked and nodded in excitement before speaking, "Take us to the Kumo base camp as originally planned."
The spy nodded before speaking up softly, "Please follow me."
Naruto on the side gave a weird look in the spy's direction before complaining to Sasuke, "Did you really bring that guy back to life?"
Sasuke just shrugged, "I don't know… I think so… he'll live for as long as I don't let him die… like the other Iwa spy we planted last month."
"Eww… you're storing dead people in you… sasuke-teme."
"..." Not having a response to Naruto, Sasuke could only stay silent before he whispered, "Naruto-dobe."
"Huh? Did you say something?" Naruto asked softly.
Sasuke then followed his new worker along with Naruto as they rushed through the forest and moved North East towards the Kumo base camp in the Land of Sound.
"What do you wish to do when we reach the base camp my Lord?"
Sasuke pondered for a while before speaking up, "Was your original plan to capture us once we reached the base camp?"
"Yes my lord, the original plan was to capture you and kill the Jinchuriki as revenge for what Konoha did to Killer B."
"Hmm… then capture me and let the Jinchuriki escape and then bring me to the area where you hold your dead."
"As you wish, Lord Sasuke."
"Ne~ ne~ why should I escape? Can't I fight with you?"
"No! When I cause chaos in the base camp, your job will be to collect the intel!"
"Ohhhh~!! Ok!!"
"Hmpf."
After their short conversation, Sasuke and Naruto continued following the worker that Sasuke had created until they finally spotted the Kumo base camp in the distance.
"Sasuke-sama, I'll need you to become a prisoner while Naruto-sama needs to pretend to have a large fight with me after breaking out of my seal and escaping."
Naruto glowed almost instantly after being called so respectfully before nodding and quickly making his go to hand seals.
"Multi Shadow Clone Jutsu!!"
A sea of Naruto showed up almost instantly in the area before they each rushed out in different directions to confuse the worker while some threw explosive tags at the worker.
Despite the suddenness of the attack, the worker handled it efficiently, dodging the minimum before taking Sasuke and escaping out of range of the rest.
*BBBBBOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMM*
Several tags exploded at once and the base camp was instantly alerted with several shinobi rushing out to check out the disturbance since such an obvious explosion was hard to miss at such close distance. It made one wonder what the patrolling shinobi were doing.
Once they reached the worker they immediately drew their weapons but only until they saw Sasuke tied up and on his knees, beaten blue and black with his face bulging as he struggled to break free from his restraints.
"Who's there!" someone questioned, prompting Sasuke's worker to step out.
"Stop everyone! It's me! Katamatatsu Kei."
"Kei!?" The attacking Kumo shinobi instantly paused, their weapons on hold as they hovered waiting for someone to either recognise or deny this man who had boldly stood up in front of them.
They waited for precisely three seconds before someone from the group shouted! "Wait! I know him! He was sent out on an important mission! Is that kid someone on their team Katsumatsu-san?"
Kei who was already getting worried about disappointing his master and getting assassinated so early into his real mission nodded along, "Yes, I have the scroll to prove my identity and status. Please escort me to the Raikage."
"Are you an ANBU team member? Is that how you slipped past patrols?"
Kei was about to answer that directly for a second before he used his wisdom from when he was alive and answered in a diplomatic fashion to maintain the sense of mystery, "I'm sorry, I'm not allowed to answer that question."
The remaining shinobi instantly believed him to be a member of the ANBU as they escorted him back into camp along with Sasuke.
"What was that commotion earlier Katsumatsu-san?"
"I was escorting two prisoners to the base camp under the guise of being their teammate as part of an important mission, one of them luckily figured out that I wasn't their teammate and all hell broke loose."
*Gasps* rang in the crowd that had gathered around Kei and Sasuke as he was dragged along rashly.
"I skillfully managed to capture one of them and this is the guy. He's important so treat him with a little care, make sure his head isn't damaged by the time we reach Raikage-sama."
Everyone nodded and dispersed to their posts once they hit base camp before a single Jonin followed along with Kei to the Raikage-sama's tent.
Guards stopped them for a second when they were about to enter but Kei produced a scroll which he handed over to them forcing them to allow them to enter once they looked over its contents.
The Jonin left from there, allowing Kei to proceed on his own.
He looked at Sasuke with a hint of appreciation since his master had not so much as uttered a soft grunt of pain even when he had been dragged so roughly across the harsh and hilly forest terratin.
"Who's there?" A rough voice came in from the inside as Kei made himself visible.
"Katsumatsu Kei returning from the Jinchuriki retrieval mission Raikage-sama!" Kei shouted as he kneeled down beside Sasuke, however just as his knees were about to hit the floor the Raikage stepped in to hold him up with an iron grip.
Kei looked up in surprise and heard the Raikage expound inspiring wisdom, "Kneeling in front of a prisoner will only lessen the status of our village. Remain standing."
Even more important than the wisdom however was the Raikage's fervor with which he was looking at the banged up Sasuke.
"Is this the Jinchuriki?"
Kei immediately shook his head, "I'm sorry Raikage-sama the Jinchuriki realised who I was right before I got here. This is the Uchiha."
"The Uchiha huh… his eyes will be valuable… you did a good job… "
At that moment a woman interjected from the side, "Raikage-sama according to our analysis the Jinchuriki will still hold on around the perimeter to make sure that his teammate is safe and sound…"
"Hmm… So as long as we keep this brat alive, we might be able to reel in the kid too huh? No. Too slow! Send this kid to the gallows! Once the Jinchuriki loses control after seeing his teammate's body, I will go and personally fetch him myself! Then I will have revenge on Konoha for taking my brother with my own hands!"
Sasuke's eyes widened slightly in that moment, was it really so easy for him to reach the dead? Was this the advantage of intel?
Only, the Raikage didn't want Sasuke to die when he reached the gallows and give him the opportunity to do anything.
He raised his hand and gripped Sasuke's head.
Eyes could be extracted even after death. What was important was for his teammate to see Sasuke dead. They were going to simply tie him to a pole and raise his body over the base camp for all to see.

Suddenly Tachibana snapped out of his dream divination.
He looked at Shikaku and whispered, "Not possible. Those two alone aren't going to be able to steal the intel from inside the Kumo base alone even with Sasuke's Mangekyo Sharingan."
"Not possible? What exactly is the problem?" Shikaku asked softly.
Tachibana thought for a while before answering bluntly, "The Raikage is too bloodthirsty, he'll kill anyone who reaches him in all variations of the plan we try."
They both looked troubled by the reasoning since Katsuyu had just informed them that Katsumatsu Kei had already been converted and brought along to their side on the far reaches of the battlefield by Sasuke.
Suddenly Tachibana performed a new divination before smirking and speaking up looking at Katsuyu to make her ask a new question to ask Sasuke and Naruto.
"I have a plan… Sasuke can you handle a new revival?"
"Do you want me to keep Kei around?" Sasuke asked in return and Tachibana shook his head, "No he won't be necessary for the plan. In fact his corpse will be very important."
"What is the plan?" Shikaku asked softly.
Tachibana smirked as he remarked, "What if we revive the Raikage's dearest brother and let him face his brother's death once again? Sasuke can enter the base camp under Killer B's protection and kill him after he steals all the important intel."
"B can pretend to find Katsumatsu Kei and then pretend that he was killed by Yamato but then claim that he killed or even just fought Yamato and escaped the camp while taking Sasuke and Naruto as prisoners."
"The Raikage would be too caught up in grief to act properly, especially when Sasuke pulls the plug after the mission finishes on Killer B, afterall the Raikage would be meeting his only long dead brother once again."
There was a soft silence of uncertainty in the war room so Tachibana motivated them lightly.
"They showed us our dead when Tsunade sacrificed herself to protect us. Now let's show them their dead as Killer B sacrifices himself to protect us again. In fact if the Raikage doesn't realise it, we could even turn someone in the Kumo army to use as a vantage point to gather information on the enemy!"
Tachibana didn't use Killer B directly because he didn't have the Eight tails sealed in him any longer, so the second someone asked him how he lived after having the eight tails extracted from him, the play would be up.
So it was better to kill Killer B and turn a random shinobi into a spy for them. Shikaku understood that and nodded in agreement.
A cruel smile showed up on Tachibana's lips that made him seem like the devil in that moment which caused everyone else in the room to shiver.
However Shikaku realised the value of the plan and nodded, he called on an ANBU member and asked them to escort Killer B's body to the Hokage office all fixed up, immediately.
It had been a month since B had died. So his body had decomposed quite a bit, but nothing Sasuke's Mangekyo wouldn't automatically fix up.
This was a mission of paramount importance to Konoha and only Sasuke and Naruto could infiltrate the camp and return alive, they had tried multiple variations with the others already in Tachibana's divinations and none had returned alive, each one killed almost immediately on discovery.
The mission was important because once they stole all of Kumo's battle plans they would know exactly where and how many forces Kumo had planned to attack Konoha with. And once they had a grasp on that information they could muddy the waters in several ways from simply pretending to be Iwa shinobi at all the right spots and attacking the Kumo shinobi to an outright key assault with the help of Jiraya and Yamato so that Kumo would be hit where it hurt the most.
Especially since they were going to be leaving behind Killer B as a spy if he could last long enough without being discovered.
Perhaps it wasn't about awakening just any dead but awakening the right dead was the solution for the problem they were facing.

Three hours later on the battlefield at Konoha Base Camp.
"Yo! You're my new master yo! I don't listen to Killer A anymore yo! What do you want me to do yo!? Yo yo!"
Naruto deadpanned at Sasuke's new worker before sighing in condolence for Killer B's soul.
What they were about to do definitely violated some war laws if they existed somewhere… but this was the only solution to end the war quickly and he understood that well, so he said nothing in the end.
"Thank you Katsuyu-sama."
"It's my pleasure as always Naruto-kun." The Slug sage spoke back before sliding inside Naruto's jacket once again.
"Let's go yo! We need to be returning on time yo! And I need to put up a big show yo!"
Yamato sighed and agreed. As the commander of the North Eastern Front of the battlefield he couldn't spend a lot of time away from the war room. But since this mission was important, he was going to pretend to have a rematch with Killer B and lose.
Not a difficult task to do since he also had to keep the Konoha Base camp safe this time which meant protecting all sorts of shinobi at various levels including some very stupid genin.
Not that the fight was going to involve them in any way, but it was still a good excuse for after he lost.
Yamato looked at Naruto and Sasuke before whispering, "Good luck you two."
Sakura hugged the two before looking Sasuke's way one last time and quickly vacating the soon to be battlefield at the end of their camp.
Yamato started with a flashy jutsu!
"Wood Release : Deep forest Emergence!"
Of course this wasn't the true jutsu used by the First Hokage but an imitation of it since it grew a few trees comparable to a garden when put side by side with the First Hokage's jutsu.
Killer B reacted instantly too.
"Water Release : Water Severing Wave!"
Half the trees were sliced instantly while the other half didn't reach B as he rushed to capture Sasuke and Naruto.
Yamato then clapped his hands and shouted out the name of his jutsu out loud to warn Killer B "Wood Release : Creeping hunger!!"
Only for Killer B to use the Water Release Water Dragon bullet jutsu and summon four different water dragons to counter the small beads that launched from Yamato.
Yamato pretended like he was about to save Naruto and Sasuke a few more times which altered the terrain further before Killer B rushed away after capturing Sasuke and Naruto by putting a chakra seal on them.
Of course, the seal on Naruto was weaker so that he could break away at the right time when they reached the base camp to draw away enemy attention!
And break Naruto did!
As soon as the trio reached the Kumo Base Camp after a couple of hours at Killer B's full speed, Naruto broke away from the seal with a flash once again by using the Multi Shadow Clone jutsu before running away at his best speed.
Several Shinobi automatically showed up to the scene before gasping in surprise and shock at the fact that the very person, the reason they had all been given for the cause of the war, Killer B! Was back! And he was back alive!
Most didn't believe it.
They were about to draw their weapons immediately since they assumed it was a ploy from Konoha once again but they were forced to stop and believe when-
"Yo! Yo! Yo! B's back Yo! So are my bars yo! Where's my brother yo!"
"B!!!" A shouted from a distance, leaving base camp once he heard the voice of his dear brother from the war room tent.
Several more shinobi gathered at the entrance, leaving their posts which gave Naruto the perfect opportunity to infiltrate but B said nothing, in fact he only welcomed the commotion!
"B!! How are you here!? Is it really you!?" A asked with surprise and indignation, there were tears in his eyes but the chakra he was feeling was real and undeniable, it was killer B! In the flesh! By some miracle!
Had Konoha changed their tune after tasting defeat in the last few battles?
Did they send back B as a sign of peace?
"Of course it's me brother!! Remember that time you wet your pants when the Third was teaching us together!! That was me pouring water while you were asleep yo!!!"
A didn't even have the time to blush as people tried holding their laughter.
Instead he rushed right at B and gave him a tight hug.
"Tell me! How did you escape from those tree huggers!?"
B laughed heartily before recounting everything from the beginning, "Those Konoha bastards wanted to capture me alive to extract the hachi B from me and make their own new jinchuriki, Yo!! But when their sealing team came over to apply chakra suppression seals on me, yo, Hachi B helped me escape by coating me in an invisible layer of its chakra yo!! And then I just bidded for time, waiting until the right moment to escape yo!!! And guess what! I did it yo!!! And I brought along two idiots with me! One Uchiha and their Jinchurki yo!!!"
"Their Jinchuuriki!? Where is he?!"
"Yo! Yo! Yo! He ran away at the last second yo! Using the same trick that I used yo!"
"Damn it! Search the perimeter for the runt! Quickly everyone!"
With A distracting everyone to look outside, no one realised that Naruto had already infiltrated and reached the communications room, a location that they had gotten from Katsumatsu Kei.
And to distract everyone until Naruto finished with his job, Killer B produced another topic to catch A's attention, after all, A was the fastest shinobi on the battlefield, and if he caught a whiff of something it would be hard to stop him down the line. Everything in the initial stages had to be perfect.
"I met him on the way Big Brother yo!" Killer B said unfurling a scroll and unsealing a dead body, it was the body of Katsumatsu Kei.
"Kei!" A recognised immediately.
That was a shinobi they had used special kinjutsu purchased from the Land of Sound to make him look exactly like Yamato from Konoha. It was so that he could infiltrate and bring back the two high priced targets, Tachibana and Naruto.
But B bringing back the Uchiha brat was good enough too. After all, a bird in hand was better than two in the bush.
"Was he important Brother?" B asked the obvious.
A nodded, but then quickly spoke up, "He was a valiant shinobi of the village! He will be given the highest burial after the war ends!"
"Let me escort him to the burial grounds brother, it was because of him that I found the opportunity to escape! He helped me live at the price of his own life yo!"
"Let us go together." A nodded.
B accepted and the first spot the two brothers visited after reuniting was the burial grounds, while Sasuke was taken away by two other random shinobi to the holding room.
"Hey…" Sasuke whispered to the guards causing them to look over.
"What happened you brat!? The pain getting to ya? There's a whole lot more for you once we get your friend too!"
They responded happily but the damage was already done.
They had looked into Sasuke's eyes.
And his eyes in which the sharingan had already activated put them into a genjutsu almost immediately, causing them to unknowingly change direction from the prisoner holding area to the dead body holding area.
Once there, Sasuke immediately asked the two shinobi who had escorted him there, "Who's the strongest among them!"
The two stared at Sasuke dumbly before pointing at two different corpses.
And Sasuke smiled with glee.
Activating his mangekyou immediately to look into the eyes of the two corpses, Sasuke awakened them as his servants with a simple word, "Arise.".
"Cause as much chaos as possible… make sure that no one even figures out that you two are dead for as long as possible and when you are done, come back and lie inside your places in the morgue while pretending to be dead."
The two corpses, possibly Konoha or Iwa Jonin, nodded freely before stepping out of the tent. After which Sasuke looked at the two hypnotised shinobi and spoke up boldly, "Free me of my restraints."
They did so obediently before Sasuke rushed out of the tent in a henge transformed as one of the shinobi who was escorting him towards the communications tent where Naruto was.
Almost as soon as the chaos created by his two newly resurrected shinobi began, Sasuke reached Naruto's side and quickly evacuated the premises with him.
Only, right as they were about to leave, and when Sasuke was about to activate his mangekyou sharingan to kill off Killer B and the two random shinobi he had awoken.
Katsuyu reared her head from Naruto's jacket.
"Tachibana says not to kill Killer B, leave him be for a little while longer, use him as a distraction before killing someone from the Kumo side and turning them into a spy for Knonha to use."
Sasuke nodded and got to work, picking a perfect Chunin that was standing guard outside the communications tent before slitting his throat and reviving him once again.
At that point since there was nothing left to do, Naruto and Sasuke extracted peacefully amidst all the chaos.
On the other side of the base camp.
"B…!!!! B..!!!! B!!!!!!!!!!"
The Raikage held B's body and wept once again before he slammed his fist onto the ground in frustration and anger and caused the ground to split into cracks!
"Konoha! I will have your throat!! I will be stepping onto the battlefield myself!!"
