Chapter 29 - Flying

"Not bad. With a little cultivation, he has a chance to reach Foundation Establishment." Elder Wang nodded slightly, then said, "Wu Junior Brother, please help them register first."

The middle-aged man in yellow nodded, then led the Everyone to another corner of the main hall and said, "Everyone, please line up and register one by one."

Fang Hong slowly moved forward with the team. He watched the middle-aged man in yellow skillfully register each Disciple's information and make identity tags.

While busy, the middle-aged man in yellow reminded everyone, "If you successfully reach Foundation Establishment in the future, you also need to come here to register, understand?"

The new Disciples responded in unison.

In less than half an incense stick of time, the identity registration was completed.

The middle-aged man in yellow then pulled out a large box, which was filled with low-grade Storage Pouches.

He said, "Each person come and claim one. These are your introductory materials."

Fang Hong stepped forward and received his Storage Pouch.

He briefly scanned it with his Divine Sense; inside, there was only a "Disciple Introductory Manual" and a low-grade leaf-shaped flying Spiritual Artifact.

Fang Hong was slightly startled, thinking that these introductory materials seemed a bit meager, but he didn't say anything… After completing the identity registration and receiving the introductory materials, Elder Wang carried a group of newly admitted Disciples and flew towards a mountain named "Gourd Peak."

Along the way, Fang Hong's eyes constantly surveyed his surroundings. Mountains stretched endlessly, and occasionally, he could see Disciples flying past in the sky, controlling Spiritual Artifacts… After a not-so-short journey, the Everyone finally arrived at Gourd Peak, and the sight before Fang Hong made him involuntarily stunned.

It truly lived up to its name; the mountain was covered with uniquely shaped gourd-like houses, densely packed and built into the mountainside.

Fang Hong opened his mouth. It was his first time seeing houses of this shape, truly novel… "Cultivate diligently and strive to reach Foundation Establishment early. That way, you can establish your own independent Immortal Cave…" Elder Wang casually offered a few words of encouragement, a faint smile on his face, then turned and floated away.

After Elder Wang left, the new Disciples immediately became lively, curiously looking around and beginning to search for their own gourd houses.

Fang Hong looked down at the number plate in his hand, which read "Number 302." He looked up, his gaze sweeping through the many gourd houses, his steps hurried.

Before long, he found his gourd house.

This gourd house was about four or five zhang high, built from some kind of spiritual wood.

There were also some small circular holes on it, evenly distributed, giving it a unique aesthetic.

The door of the house was made of ironwood, incredibly hard, and there was a simple mechanical lock on the door.

Fang Hong walked around the house, his brows slightly furrowed. He looked around and found that it was less than ten zhang away from the other gourd houses.

If he were suddenly disturbed during Cultivation, it would still be very unsafe.

Fang Hong secretly made up his mind that he had to Breakthrough to the Foundation Establishment Stage as soon as possible. Only then could he move out of here and establish his own independent Immortal Cave.

Subsequently, Fang Hong inserted his identity tag into the mechanical lock. With a "click," the door opened automatically.

A faint cloud of dust wafted out. Fang Hong subconsciously covered his mouth and nose with his hand, shaking his head gently. This place had probably been uninhabited for a long time to have so much dust.

He closed the door and immediately took out three cleaning talismans from his Storage Pouch, throwing them into the air. After activating them, spiritual light flashed.

In the blink of an eye, all the dust in the room was removed, and the wooden bed and a few tables and chairs, which had been covered in a layer of dust, became clean and tidy.

Fang Hong nodded with satisfaction. He then took out a soft mattress from his Storage Pouch and laid it on the wooden bed for rest, then took out a cushion and placed it aside for daily meditation and Qi Refining… After doing all this, Fang Hong sat on the bed and began to read the "Disciple Introductory Manual."

The manual contained some sect rules and various locations, detailing the sect's various regulations and the locations and uses of important places within the sect, helping Disciples quickly adapt to sect life.

Fang Hong simply memorized these sect rules. However, one regulation greatly troubled him: Outer Sect Disciples had to complete a certain amount of miscellaneous tasks each year, otherwise they would be expelled from the sect… Fang Hong's brows were tightly furrowed, and a helpless expression appeared on his face. He didn't want to do any miscellaneous tasks, as this would definitely delay his Cultivation.

Fortunately, newly admitted Disciples had two months of adaptation time and didn't need to do miscellaneous tasks, so he only needed to Breakthrough to the Foundation Establishment Stage within these two months.

As long as he advanced to the Foundation Establishment Stage and became an Inner Sect Disciple, he could be exempted from these tedious miscellaneous tasks.

Fang Hong put away the Disciple manual, then took out the leaf-shaped flying Spiritual Artifact. He carefully examined the Spiritual Artifact, his eyes full of curiosity.

Fang Hong circulated the magical power within his body and slowly injected it into the Spiritual Artifact.

As the magical power was injected, the leaf-shaped flying Spiritual Artifact gradually floated up, trembling gently in the room.

Fang Hong tried to control it, and the Spiritual Artifact began to turn around in the narrow gourd house. Although space was limited, Fang Hong was still excited, a surprised smile on his face.

With this flying Spiritual Artifact, he could finally fly in the air. It would be much more convenient for long-distance travel in the future, making it a very practical Spiritual Artifact.

Subsequently, Fang Hong did not waste time in the room. He eagerly flew his Spiritual Artifact towards the "Scripture Pavilion."

To successfully reach Foundation Establishment within two months, he must first find a suitable Foundation Establishment Stage Cultivation Technique, which was also the purpose of him joining the sect.

Fang Hong flew in the sky, the breeze caressing his face, his eyes full of anticipation, hoping to find a good Cultivation Technique in the Scripture Pavilion… In about half an hour, Fang Hong flew his Spiritual Artifact to "Cloud Peak."

The Scripture Pavilion was built here. Looking from afar, it was an ancient three-story pavilion.

The pavilion was dark brown overall, built of old bricks and stones, with exquisite patterns carved on the eaves, lifelike.

This was both an important place for the sect and a relatively lively place, with some Disciples coming every day to read books or choose Cultivation Techniques.

Fang Hong landed in front of the pavilion, put away his Spiritual Artifact, and saw that many Disciples were already entering and exiting the main gate of the pavilion.

In the small square next to the pavilion, there were even Foundation Establishment Stage Disciples teaching spell insights, which made him feel a little novel… Fang Hong ignored these Disciples and walked directly into the first floor of the Scripture Pavilion.

As soon as he entered, he saw rows of bookshelves, filled with all kinds of books.

The bookshelves were made of spiritual wood, emitting a faint Spiritual Qi, and many Disciples were stopping to look at them.

Fang Hong scanned his surroundings and found a wooden staircase leading to the second floor of the Scripture Pavilion.

Unfortunately, according to sect regulations, only Foundation Establishment Stage Disciples could enter the second floor, where there were more profound Cultivation Techniques.

Next to the stairs, a green-robed old man was sitting behind a counter reading a book, his Cultivation at the Foundation Establishment Stage.

The old man was wearing a green robe, with a thin face. He felt Fang Hong's gaze, so he looked up and met Fang Hong's eyes, his lips slightly curved into an eerie smile…
