Back on the massive boulder at the island's center, Seimei pulled up his status panel, checking the progress of his skills and pondering how to allocate his chakra next.
First off, Chakra Refining Technique and Chakra Control could be ignored.
The former's proficiency only built up slowly over time, no matter how much chakra he threw at it.
The latter, starting from lv6, couldn't be actively improved. It only gained proficiency passively when other skills reached mastery.
So, no need to sink chakra into either.
Next up were Izanami and Izanagi.
These two Sharingan-exclusive dōjutsu came with massive drawbacks, so Seimei hadn't used them yet.
Of course, that was also because no one had pushed him to that point.
Since way back, the daily proficiency cap for these two dōjutsu had been stuck at 500 points.
Why? Their unique way of building proficiency.
Normally, the fastest way to rack up proficiency was to "use" a skill—keep using it to get familiar. That's how Seimei leveled up most of his skills.
But Izanagi and Izanami were different. Casting them cost a Sharingan eye.
No way was Seimei's real body going to pay that price.
And the Sharingan in his Kage Bunshin? Just a projection of his own. They looked real but weren't, so they couldn't be used as a sacrifice for these dōjutsu.
So, "using" them to gain proficiency was off the table.
Instead, he'd always had his Kage Bunshin study their mechanics and casting processes, building proficiency indirectly.
That method, though, was capped at a measly 500 points a day.
Throwing more chakra at them wouldn't help.
So, those two skills were out.
That left Doton: Chō Kajūgan no Jutsu (Earth Release: Super Weighted Boulder Technique), Doton: Chō Keijūgan no Jutsu (Earth Release: Super Lightened Boulder Technique), and Fūshin Sakon: Keiyaku Shunshin no In (Heart-Sealing Soul Lock: Contract Instant Movement Seal).
Oh, and Shōsen Jutsu (Mystical Palm Technique) and Raiton Chakra Mode.
But those two ninjutsu were for body enhancement, and their chakra consumption was pretty much set. Dumping more chakra into them might even backfire.
So, for now, they could be ignored too.
That narrowed it down to the first three.
Currently, he was putting 300,000 chakra points daily into Doton: Chō Kajūgan no Jutsu and Doton: Chō Keijūgan no Jutsu, earning 1,500 proficiency points each.
Fūshin Sakon: Keiyaku Shunshin no In got a bit less—200,000 chakra points daily, for 1,000 proficiency points.
But those numbers were from before Raiton: Raikiri (Lightning Release: Lightning Blade) leveled up.
Since its mastery, his Chakra Control had also leveled up, boosting his training efficiency by about 10%.
In other words, those skills now earned 1,650, 1,650, and 1,100 proficiency points daily, respectively.
On average, practicing these three ninjutsu cost about 180 chakra points per proficiency point.
Seimei glanced at their progress:
- Doton: Chō Kajūgan no Jutsu: lv7 (12600/20000)
- Doton: Chō Keijūgan no Jutsu: lv7 (12450/20000)
- Fūshin Sakon: Keiyaku Shunshin no In: lv7 (5600/20000)
At the current pace, Doton: Chō Kajūgan no Jutsu and Doton: Chō Keijūgan no Jutsu would hit lv8 in about four and a half days, and lv9 in thirty days.
Fūshin Sakon: Keiyaku Shunshin no In would take longer—thirteen days to reach lv8, and forty-five days for lv9.
After some thought, Seimei decided to allocate 600,000 chakra points to Fūshin Sakon: Keiyaku Shunshin no In.
This would bump its daily chakra input from 200,000 to 800,000 points, and its proficiency gain from 1,100 to 4,444 points.
At that rate, it'd hit lv8 in just three days and lv9 in another eleven.
As for lv10? That'd require deeper research into souls and refining the technique to push its potential to S-rank before he could keep grinding.
Snapping out of his thoughts, Seimei turned to Doton: Chō Kajūgan no Jutsu and Doton: Chō Keijūgan no Jutsu.
After a moment, he allocated 800,000 chakra points from the remaining pool, splitting it evenly between the two.
This would raise their daily chakra input from 300,000 to 700,000 points, boosting proficiency from 1,650 to 3,888 points.
At that pace, they'd hit lv8 in just two days and reach lv9 (0/0) mastery in under thirteen days.
Seimei did some quick math. By the time these three skills maxed out, it'd line up almost perfectly with his body reaching its transformation threshold.
And when his body transformed, his Byakugan would get a boost too.
Its capacity would naturally increase.
By then, the 2,000,000 chakra points he was currently pouring into it daily probably wouldn't cut it.
The chakra saved from maxing out Doton: Chō Kajūgan no Jutsu and the other two skills would neatly fill that gap, so he wouldn't have to worry about chakra going to waste.
Heck, that chakra might not even be enough!
By then, his body would likely have fully assimilated the Hashirama cells, letting him start refining Eishin no Jutsu (Mind Reflection Technique) and upgrading his Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan.
That would need chakra too!
And don't forget fusing seven chakra nature transformations to develop a Kekkei Moura—another massive chakra sink.
So yeah, his chakra would never be surplus—it'd only ever be in short supply.
Thinking this, Seimei's heart tightened a bit.
But he quickly shook his head, tossing the thought aside.
Those were problems for half a month from now. Right now, he still hadn't finished allocating his chakra!
Mastering Raiton: Raikiri and Katon: Shūen Geki (Fire Release: Focused Flame Strike) had freed up 1,686,000 chakra points daily.
Of that, 600,000 went to Fūshin Sakon: Keiyaku Shunshin no In, and 800,000 was split between Doton: Chō Kajūgan no Jutsu and Doton: Chō Keijūgan no Jutsu.
That left 286,000 chakra points.
Seimei planned to dump all of it into the secondary development of Fūton: Kaze no Tsubasa (Wind Release: Wings of Wind).
He'd had this idea back when he flew to the Hidden Mist Village.
Now that he had the chakra, it was time to act.
Once the advanced ninjutsu was developed, his max flight speed would get another boost, easily breaking past three kilometers per second.
Would it work? Seimei had zero doubts.
For other ninjutsu, he might hesitate, but this one he'd built from scratch. Continuing its development was like working in his own backyard—no blind spots.
He was brimming with confidence.
With that, he stopped wasting time, raised his hands, formed seals, and cast Tajū Kage Bunshin no Jutsu, creating over a hundred Kage Bunshin.
Looking at the clones, Seimei felt a slight headache coming on.
No doubt about it—he'd have to regroup them all over again.
