Chapter 2 - Money and power

Junwoo then released his Authority skill. Everyone present dropped to their knees without any resistance as an overwhelming pressure filled the room.

Junwoo slowly walked toward the boss.

Kim Chul was terrified. Fear had completely consumed him.

"From now on, you will be my slave," Junwoo said with a bone-chilling smile.

"Y-Yes... Yes, Master," Kim Chul replied, his voice trembling.

Three Shadow Wolves emerged from Junwoo's shadow and leaped into the shadows of Kim Chul and the two thugs.

Kim Chul watched in horror as one of the terrifying creatures disappeared into his shadow.

"If you betray me, they will tear your body apart," Junwoo said with a smile.

Kim Chul felt as though he had fallen into a bottomless abyss.

In front of Junwoo, he was completely powerless.

Junwoo then ordered the remaining thug, who was still kneeling, to take the injured man to the hospital.

"Now, everything you own belongs to me," Junwoo said as he sat down on the sofa.

Within a few days, everything Kim Chul possessed had become Junwoo's.

Using his Instant Mastery gift, Junwoo quickly mastered trading and earned a huge amount of money.

Kim Chul handed over the one million won he had saved in cash to Junwoo.

Within a few weeks, Junwoo had turned that money into billions of won.

He gradually established the Reaper Gang, recruiting loyal subordinates and slowly bringing Busan's underworld under his control. Hidden beneath a black Reaper mask, no one knew his true identity.

He never revealed his Shadow Monarch powers to anyone. Instead, he secretly placed Shadow Soldiers inside the shadows of everyone around him.

With the martial arts manuals and his Instant Mastery ability, he learned countless powerful techniques in an incredibly short time.

People began calling him the Dark Lord, the man who defeated over two hundred men armed with nothing but a single baseball bat.

Despite all of this, Junwoo was bored. His Multiverse Travel skill had yet to unlock.

One day, he drove to the shabby house where he had first transmigrated.

A letter was stuck to the front door.

Curious, he opened it.

«Dear Junwoo,

Come to your grandma's house. I couldn't come to see you because I've been admitted to the hospital due to a serious illness.

My address is...»

And now, here he was, sitting on a train bound for Seoul.

Soon, he arrived and began searching for the address written in the letter.

Eventually, he found himself in a quiet residential neighborhood.

He frowned.

"Where is Grandma's house?"

Just then, he noticed a girl around his age walking through the neighborhood.

"Excuse me," Junwoo called out.

The girl turned around.

The moment he saw her face, Junwoo froze.

She looked exactly like Darla from The Landlord's Little Daughter (Queen Bee).

Darla was equally surprised. Junwoo's handsome face and well-built physique immediately caught her attention.

Junwoo quickly regained his composure.

"Excuse me. Does Grandma Cha live around here?"

Darla blinked before hurriedly answering.

"Oh... yes! Just go past that building and turn left. Her house is—"

Before she could finish, Junwoo had already started walking toward Grandma Cha's house.

He knocked on the door.

Grandma Cha opened it.

The moment she saw Junwoo, tears welled up in her eyes. She pulled him into a warm embrace.

After entering the house, the two talked for over an hour.

"Junwoo, I knew you would come," Grandma Cha said with a gentle smile. "I've already enrolled you in the local high school. From now on, you'll live with me. I'll take good care of you, so focus on your studies."

Junwoo was touched by her kindness.

He simply nodded without saying a word.

---

"It has been three days," Junwoo muttered to himself as he observed the neighborhood.

If he remembered correctly, the original story was around Chapter 29 or 30.

That meant Darla should already be getting bullied at school.
