Chapter 23
At the cathedral
Deep inside the small library, Cecilia was strolling through some old books, she picked one that got her attention and sat on a chair reading word by word, the silence of the forest and the foggy mist were the perfect moment for reading, her eyes captured the intensity of the book and kept reading for hours, footsteps coming from the empty hallway gave the sign that someone was approaching her, she didn't even look or put her book away she just kept reading, the wooden door slowly open and cessiar entered the library, he noticed a light candle on the end of the room and walked straight to it only to find out that Cecilia was reading peacefully, he approached her and said:
"Having fun there sis?…"
Cecilia fold a page where she was reading and close the book putting it on the desk, she got up and turned to face cessiar saying: "it helps me relax…this world is filled of interesting things and yet no one is willing to find them…some of the most precious treasures are found inside places like this…an adventure that will always be lost and never found…"
"I don't know what the hell you were reading but that was some interesting stuff…" said cessiar.
"You should try reading sometime, it might bring some light inside that head of yours…"
"Thanks for the offer but you know that i'm not the reading type of demon, i'm more into fighting…"
Cecilia walks to a broken window and stares at the mountains saying: "and you will…but first let us wait for the Dr. to have his fun".
Cessiar lean on the wall arms crossed and replied: "that's very unusual for you to say...you've never had to rely on anyone especially so human to do your work".
Cecilia kept looking outside: "i just have something in mind that's all... "even if the Dr. fails, witch i know he will…he's strategy's and technology can be useful for the time being…also I'm curious to see if he can really bring back the bahamut."
"Yeah i kinda want to see it too, he looks so determined to bring that creature back to life…but it also would be fun to take control of it once it's awake…not even with all of the technology in this world could control such mighty beast…"
Cecilia's expression changed, the hatred on her eyes and her tone completely shifted: "humans are nothing but greedy selfish creatures... all they care about it's money , power and take control of everything and they don't care if they have to kill anyone who stand in their way...they never change, this books had showed me that in every historical event blood had to be shed…blood of the innocent, blood of the martyrs, blood of the people who suffer and try survive each day, this so called times of peace are nothing but a lie to hide the truth of what had happened a long time ago, as long as they get the opportunity to get what they want, they'll do anything to obtain it…"
Cessiar walks next to Cecilia and said: "and they call us the bad guys? Shame in them, human's will never understand the beauty of creation, they spend to much time destroying it, the get a glimpse of wisdom or power and they think that they can control the whole world".
Cecilia closed her eyes out of anger while grasping her fist: "i want to see them all burn in hell not one but all of them..."they don't deserve to live in this world ...it's because of them that this stupid war started in the first place…"
Cessiar turned his head to look at her confused and said: "what are you talking about sis, is there something you know that i don't?".
Cecilia sighed and said: "never mind forget. Anyway where have you been lately, i haven't seen you around…not that i care or anything".
"Oh, i was just wondering around having some fun, you know the kind you need that it can not be found in this god forsaken place, seriously why pick a cathedral in the first place, there's so many places".
Cecilia rolled her eyes and said: "and where exactly do you suggest we could stay dear brother of mine?…it's not like any human would take two DEMONS!!! To their homes…"
"You…got a point there…"
"I know…and I picked this place because it's the last place anyone would want to look, also is far away from those humans".
"Well i'm just gonna keep having some fun in the meantime, oh and check this out I changed my look so that nobody recognizes me", cessiar managed to change into a human teen boy with white hair and blue eyes, aoft sking while wearing black jeans and a black t shirt, on his neck he had 3 chains that matched his outfit also a red leather jacket, "well what do you think?".
"I think Hideki kamiya's gonna sue somebody…"
"Whatever sis… whit this look i can enjoy myself with whatever I want and whenever I want".
Cecilia turned to face cessiar and said: "well don't get us to it, because once we get our hands on the other half of the crystal, get rid of those roses and take over this world….there will be nothing left to enjoy".
"I know sis….i know…"
At the front of the cathedral 2 mysterious shadows approached the door and knocked, the sound vibrates throughout the hallway reaching where they both stood, cessiar looks at Cecilia and ask:
"Are you expecting company?".
"No" she answered and both of them walked to the main hall, both of them stood at the front door waiting for whoever is on the other side to enter.
The door bust open and 2 strage figures enter the the cathedral. They look around and found cessiar and Cecilia both standing in the middle.
Bujin smiled wickedly as he saw them and said: "well look at what we have here…if it isn't my two favorite siblings…nice place you got here hehehe…"
Cecilia rolled her eyes and scoffed: "oh great, as if my day wasn't boring enough.."
"Come now that's no way to treat your guests…and after all that trouble we had on trying to get here…"
Vex stepped next to bujin and also replied: "we also came here to help you, words on the shadow kingdom that you two are having trouble tracking the chaos crystal.."
"It's also boring down there….not much to do but torture all of those who are trying to escape", bujin said yawning.
Bujin and vex, two demons from the shadow kingdom, bujin being the 13th commander of the shadow army, his aspect was like a big gargoyle, his skin color was yellow, ripped wings but he could still fly, orange eyes, 3 small horns, big belly and he only wear dark blue pants, his voice was deep but not menacing, vex on the other hand was different from him, slim body perfect wings that go to his head to his feet, a mixture of the color purple and a greenish blue, a face that could hypnotize anyone wolf cut hair color white and a normal voice that could confuse anyone he's clothes were a dark gray GI and black pants.
Cecilia got annoyed and said: "we don't need any help from the two of you…me and cessiar are doing fine…"
Vex laughed at her and said: clearly you do…i mean how hard can it be to track down the mystic garden and take down and old lady hahaha!".
"Well if you're so confident on it you're more than welcome to try and find it and try to take in those 12 brats…" cessiar said taunting vex.
Vex took a step back looking at Cecilia's eyes and said: "what 12 brats!?….don't tell me you're referring to the 12 spirits that sealed away the shadow kingdom!!?"
Bujin grasped his fist in shock and yelled: "i thought they all vanished after the war was over!?"
"Well apparently after the king broke the seal, the crystal knew that we were coming for it and teleported this this new world and now the spirits of the 12 warriors were reborn into teenagers."
Both of vex and bujin looked at each other and burst in laughter.
Cessiar didn't find it funny and looked annoyed: "did i say something funny?."
Vex still lauging he said: "are you telling me that the reason you two haven't been able to get the chaos crystal is because you can't take care of 12 kids!!? Hahahaha".
"Those 12 kids managed to kill the jester in a single fight!!!".
"You mean the queen's clown?, oh please he was nothing but a joke, a puppet, nothing but an error that shouldn't even had to exist…"
"And besides, we are way more stronger than he ever was", bujin replied flexing his muscles.
"…yeah,but not the smartest…" Cecilia whispered.
"What was that?!". Ask bujin angry.
"Oh I'm sorry, were those words to big for you?" Cecilia said mocking him.
Bujin stomped the floor angrily and shouted: "for your information i am the 13th commander of the queens shadow army and one of the strongest too so you should watch your attitude!!!".
"…and the stupidest…" cessiar said smirking.
"YOU TAKE THAT BACK!!!" Bujin snarls.
"Ok ok you're nit the most stupid…"
"That's right…HEY!!!!!… YOU SON OF A BITCH!!!!" Bujin launched forward grasping his fist.
Cessiar smirk and got to a fighting stance waiting for him to attack.
Cecilia got in beteewn them and shouted at them: "that's enough both of you!!!" she turned to face bujin and spoke to him: "you wanna prove a point fine, go ahead and do whatever you want i don't care…but make sure to do that where they are not here…"
Bujin scoffed and turned around whispering: "…fine, you're not worth my time anyway…"
"Come on bujin let's go to town and pay those girls a visit". Said vex as he gestured to walk out.
Both of them left as the wooden door slowly closed leaving Cecilia and cessiar alone in the main hall.
"I thought they never leave".
Cecilia walked behind andsmack the back of cessiars head.
"Ow!, what was that for!?".
"You should no better than to make that moron mad…now he's going to town and make a full out of himself!!".
"Yeah so, why do you care". He said while rubbing the back of his head.
"We're supposed to make the fear us, not to make them think that we are a joke…the shadow kingdom has one of the most powerful demons in all of the realms and yet only this idiots managed to get out…i womder why is that.."
"Dunno sis, maybe they're waiting for season 2 i guess.."
Cecilia looked at cessiar with a poker face
"…what.."
She smack him on the back of his head again...
Back at the airship everyone was waiting for Hiro so that she could discuss the emergency.
Lily got impatient, tapping the floor with her feet while having her arms crossed: "what is taking him so long".
"You're right, it's not like him to do this" replied kana while niko started to spin around in her chair.
"Relax you guys he's probably coming back from his date". Akari said.
Kaori raised her eyebrow confused and ask: "a date?.
Akari smiled and replied: "yeah, two new girls came to our school and one of them wanted to talk to Hiro so they went to the park, is so romantic". niko kept spining faster.
Lily got angry and yelled: "this isn't the time for dating games!!!, there's an emergency and we need him now!!, she looked at niko and also yelled: "and would you stop spinning on that thing, it's driving me crazy!!!".
Niko stop spining, she spoke in a sarcastic tone saying: "and what got you in such lovely mood".
Lily started to blush, she croosed her arms and looked away whispering: "…nothing…"
All of a sudden momo noticed that someone was missing besides Hiro she looked around the room and said: "say, where is kyle?" Lily's ears twich.
Niko noticed lily's reaction and smiled smirkingly, she looked at lily and with a teasing tone she said: "oh, i see what's going on here…hehehe…"
Lily turned to face niko and said: "what are you talking about niko.."
Niko leaned on her chair and said: "you're mad because Kyle's not here".
"Is it true lily? Are you mad because Kyle isn't here with you?", momo ask feeling sad for her.
Lily got flusterd, she looked around the room trying to find the right words: "what!!?…i…uh..."
Niko continued to tease lily, she leaned forward and ask: "yessss lily?".
"It's nothing ok!!, we were supposed to do an assignment together in the library in town that's all…"
Niko laughed at lily saying: "Hahahahaha, you two were going to have a date om the library , that's so lame".
"It is not a date…it was a group thing we had to do the assignment ok!!"
"Yeah right, a group thing mad out of you two hehehe."
Kaori whispered in her mind and said: "I'm so glad I don't have to see this".
Seconds later Honda entered the room expecting to see everyone, as she got closer she saw that the girls were there but noticed that someone was missing: "oh good all of you. Made it, ok we got an emergency in town and…wait… she looked around the room, "where is Hiro?".
"He's probably on it's way here". Said kana.
"ON IT'S WAY!!!!!???, i sent him a message 20 minutes ago, what could he be doing that takes him that long!?" Shouted Honda.
Niko sat back to her chair and said: "he's on a date".
"Wow niko, really…". Kana whispered.
Steam came out of Honda's ears,her face was red of anger and shouted: "HE'S ON A WHAT!!!!!!" Her scream echoed through the hall way.
Hiro just entered the room breathing hard, he walked to them and said: "ok i'm here, sorry i was late i", Hiro didn't had time to finish because a Big manual hit his face...
Yui covered her mouth and said: "oh my…"
Niko rolled around her chair laughing.
Hiro fall to the ground with the mark of the manual on his face.
"I SHOULD THROW YOU WITH A BIGGER MANUAL!!!", Honda shouted.
Hiro got up and shake his head: "ow what was that for?".
"I sent you a message 20 minutes ago and now i heard you were on your little date, that's why!!".
Akari slides next to Hiro and as: "speaking of witch, how was it?".
Niko also lean closer and said in a teasing tone: "yeah did you two kiss, muah, muah, hehehe".
"Cut it out you two it wasn't a date, crimmson just wanted to talk that's all…"
Akari had a disappointed face and said: "that's it, not even a kiss on the cheek?, what a waste of time."
"Hey come on it wasn't like that at all."
"He probably forgot how to kiss, it's like we haven't seen him getting closer to any girls in school". Said niko
"Yeah, not even a romantic message on his phone ether", Kaori said while holding his phone.
"Wait, how did you get my phone!?" Hiro ask embarrassed.
"Stop picking on Hiro, just because he never kissed a girl that doesn't give you the right pick on him", momo said trying to defend him.
"That's not the worst thing…i mean it's not like he practiced kissing with with the pillow like Lily does alone in her room". Kana said while leaning on her chair.
Lily's eyes went wide open, her face got red like a tomato and shouted: KANAAAAAAA!!!!!!".
"Ok, let's continue before this gets more awkward, everyone please sit down and look at the monitor". Clara began to tap on her tablet as the monitor showed images of the city being attacked.
"Our drones detected the presence of two anomalies that started attacking the city...have a look", Honda moved aside for them to see the monitor, bujin and vex were on screen walking on the streets causing chaos and scaring people around.
"I've never seen them before". Said yuki as she got closer to the monitor.
"I don't think any of us has…" replied asuka as she looked at the screen.
"So what you're saying is that non of you haven't seen this 2, that's perfect now we don't even know what we are up against, this keeps getting better and better" said Honda as she sat down tapping her chair.
"This doesn't change anything… all you have to do is take precautions when facing them that's all, our team already has your gear ready so i think you're gonna be okay".Said clara.
Honda jumped out her seat, she walked to the door and said to them: "finally some good news, now follow me".
All of them left the room, the follow honda to another room that was full of weapons, robots, drones and mobile suits, as they entered niko's eyes when wide open.
"Cooooolllllll!!!!!", she said as she walked deeper in the room.
"We are still working on upgrading your weapons so in the meantime you can pick on of this, clara said as she pointed at the wall. Each and one of them carefully chose one according to their abilities, niko was still looking but couldn't choose. As she kept looking she saw a big machine gun and ran straight to it.
"He,he now I'm ready…" she said with a maniacal grin on her face.
Honda raised her eyebrow and said: "why on gods earth you picked the heavy machine gun"
"Why not, i mean i saw it on the war channel and this thing can destroy enemies in minutes…and with my energy i can do it in seconds.."
"Oh no, your not getting that thing niko", said asuka as she took it and placed it back on the wall.
"Why not?, i know how to use it you know!!" Niko said frowning.
"Oh really…need i have to remind you what happened after you tried to use Genesis sword?"
Hiro shiver as he slide to hide behind Akari.
"I….point taken…but i don't know how to use katanas like you guys, all i know is how to use my fists?"
"Well i got the perfect weapon for you", clara walked to a container and pulled put two metal gloves, she walk to niko and gave to her, "here try them.Niko slide the metal gloves as they adjusted to her fists, she started to throw punches in the air and said:
"They feel light, are you sure i should wear them..i mean i don't want to break them".
"Thise gloves can withstand the impact of mounting so you'll be fine, also they can expand more bigger in case you feel…aggressive", Honda winked at her. Niko pushed a button and her metal gloves grew making them heavier and more powerful.
"COOOLLLLLLLL!!! , hey kana wanna play punchies Hehehe". She said while walking to her slowly.
"Niko don't you dare!!" Kana said scared.
"Ok, now that everyone has their weapons it's time to explain the details so come and follow us to the control room, then we will give you youre new suits". Said clara as they went to the control room, in midway kana got next to Genesis and she tap her shoulders, both of them stopped.
"Hey Genesis i have to ask.."
"Yes, what is it kana".
"Can we really trust in them while we go and fight them?".
"What do you mean kana?".
Kana hold her upper arm looking away saying: "i know that this sounds dumb but...in every outcome that we faced we never had to depend upon others and even if things get rough we always managed to pull through, we always trust in each other, and know we put our trust into them…the point is that i don't want things to change, i want to be strong…strong enough to always be there when things get worse…I'm sorry if i sound stupid…but every time we go out in battle i always want ti make sure that everyone makes back".
Genesis felt her sisters concern, she knew exactly what she ment and replied: "that's exactly why i joined them, although we have our strengths, powers and abilities i always felt that it wasn't enough…the first time i encountered clara and helped her capture a very dangerous criminal she told me that i had the potential of becoming a very powerful warrior and that she wanted to help me unlock and understand my full potential, at first i was scared..but i also knew that if i wanted to protect you guys i had to take that chance, also something deep inside me told me to trust her so i took her help, that same day i learned about stardust…her crew took me in and trained me, when i was ready Honda came to me and gave me my sword and suit, she told me that the crew will always had my back and it's been like that ever since, she also made a promise to always watch over you while i do my work, i knew the dangers of becoming a bounty hunter so i ask them to keep you away until the time was right, they kept their promise and became a second family to me...we had each other's back ever since, and for your question…yes we could trust them".
After hearing the sincerity of Genesis speech, kana felt relieved and said: "i didn't knew yoy felt like that sis, but now i know that i could trust on them like you did.
"As do we Genesis", Genesis turned and saw that Hiro and the girls were listening, Hiro took a step forward and said: "i know that we haven't had the chance to know each other that much, but after hearing what you've done and the effort you took to protect your sisters i will do the same."
Clara gave a soft smile as the tension on the room left and saw that everyone ready: "come everyone…it's show time…"
"Ugh, finally i want to kick some ass". she ran first to the control room.
"Hey, wait for us us you impatient little brat!!", shouted kana.
As they all staterd to enter the room, Genesis stood back for a while looking at them.
Genesis whispered in her mind saying: "i promise to keep them safe no matter what ...mother ", she walk to the room.
