This is a special administrative district just like Shibuya, also a relatively prosperous commercial area, and one of the urban cores of Tokyo.
It is located slightly west of the central area of Tokyo, with comprehensive commercial and entertainment facilities, a concentration of higher education institutions, and many large corporate headquarters. The Shinjuku Station in the district is one of the most important transportation hubs on the west side of Tokyo's urban area, which speaks to its bustling nature.
But today, this place has also transformed into a deserted death zone, appearing very desolate everywhere.
