Tears rolled down Jocelynn's face as she watched the scene unfolding in the Enchanted Grove. From the moment Sir Elgon asked to stay all the way until Ashlynn planted the Blood Acorn, she saw all of it, heard all of it, and felt every bit of the guilt and anguish tearing at her sister's heart.
And then, there was a surge of multicolored light, accompanied by a feeling of tremendous power. For a moment, the Olive Seed seemed to drink in that power, glowing crimson, emerald green, and midnight blue. It stepped away from Jocelynn, staring at itself with an expression that shifted every heartbeat from joy to confusion to rage and a dozen things in between.
And then, that swell of power drained away. Its color shifted from the multiple hues of the Blood Acorn to a brilliant, golden light tinged with crimson that poured into the empty space between Jocelynn and the Olive Seed.
