Chapter 46 - Boruto the Akatsuki: In search of power 46

In the previous chapter: Team 7 accepted the mission to find Anato, a missing researcher who worked for a powerful technology company headed by Chairman Vikta. The clues led them to a village built within a valley and, later, to enormous waterfalls where the company's search teams operated. Although Vikta initially appeared cooperative, his secretive demeanor aroused suspicion among the Konoha shinobi.

While exploring a cave near the waterfalls, the team discovered a disturbing scene: gray roots covered the walls and floor, evidence of an experiment gone wrong. Shortly after, they found Anato… but he was no longer the same. His body had transformed into a violent creature capable of using a warped Wood Release , attacking without conscience or reason. Team 7 fought with all their might to subdue him, revealing new abilities and working in perfect coordination.

When Anato was finally subdued, Vikta intervened drastically. She ordered his capture by force and subjected to "treatment," making it clear that her primary objective was not to save him, but to continue her experiments. Without explanation, she declared the mission a failure and expelled Team 7, withholding crucial information.

Shortly after, Mitsuki began exhibiting symptoms similar to Anato's: his skin turned gray, and his body entered a critical state. Desperate, the team turned to Yubina, an eccentric but brilliant ninja doctor, who managed to save him by extracting a strange fragment from his body. This revealed the truth: the experiments involved cells from Hashirama Senju , a power far too dangerous for ordinary people.

Furthermore, it was discovered that other victims already existed, including a girl in critical condition, and that the cells were circulating on the black market. Mitsuki, thanks to her unique body, developed antibodies that could become the key to saving others, but time was running out.

With the threat spreading and Vikta withholding crucial information, Konohamaru decided to inform Konoha immediately. Using a summoning ritual, he sent a letter detailing everything that had happened, warning about the use of Hashirama's cells and the danger they posed. However, knowing that help would be slow in coming, Team 7 made a risky decision: to act on their own. Without wasting any more time, they headed toward their new destination, the Land of Silence, a dark and dangerous territory where the shadows of the black market and rogue ninja seemed to be the source of this sinister trade.

At this moment, Team 7 was moving at full speed, leaping through the trees toward the Land of Silence. Branches crunched beneath their feet as they swiftly traversed the forest.

Suddenly, Saku frowned. Something wasn't right.

With a powerful leap, he jumped high and landed firmly on the ground. His eyes scanned the area cautiously.

The road was littered with wrecked carts. The wheels were broken and the wood splintered. Around them, several crows pecked at the scattered remains. Saku took a few steps toward one of the carts, studying the marks of the attack. Then, beneath his foot, he felt something tighten. A ninja wire. His eyes widened instantly. Saku jumped back, just as several kunai flew from the trees and violently embedded themselves in the ground where he stood. Silence returned for a moment. Saku looked up and scanned the treetops. Through the leaves, he caught a glimpse of a figure darting among the branches.

He frowned.

"A trap..." he thought. "They wanted to kill us and steal our belongings."

At that moment, Sarada, Mitsuki, and Mugino landed behind him, followed by Konohamaru.

Saku turned towards them.

—This place doesn't seem very cheerful.

Mugino looked at the remains of the road and replied in a serious tone:

—They don't appreciate the ninjas of the Five Great Nations very much here.

Konohamaru stepped forward.

—That's why it's not in our best interest for them to know that we come from Konoha.

He looked at Sarada and Saku.

—It would be best if we took off our ninja headbands.

They both nodded and removed their headbands, carefully putting them away. As they did so, Sarada asked:

—How did this country end up like this?

Konohamaru crossed his arms and began to explain.

Ten years ago, this country was ruled by a dictator. He was overthrown… but when he fell, no one took control. Without a leader, the country became a haven for criminals. Factions began fighting each other for power.

Sarada frowned slightly, thoughtful.

—So Hashirama's cells ended up on the black market… and our mission will be to recover them before someone uses them.

Konohamaru nodded gravely.

Mugino looked at Sarada and Saku with a serious expression.

"There's something I don't like about this..." he said firmly. "Having you come with us is too much for genin."

Sarada frowned slightly. Saku looked him straight in the eyes.

-Because?

Mugino did not hesitate to answer.

"Hashirama's cells are extremely dangerous. You don't have the necessary experience to deal with something like that."

Saku kept her gaze steady, without backing down.

"I want to prevent more people from suffering because of my ancestor's cells. Perhaps I'm the only one those cells can't affect... so it's my responsibility to recover them."

The atmosphere grew heavier. Mugino observed him silently for a moment before speaking:

—I'll tell you this… but listen carefully. Don't act alone. This is a high-level mission. Don't forget that.

Konohamaru took a step forward, his tone firm.

—This mission is for the well-being of the people. We cannot fail, do you understand?

Sarada answered without hesitation, with determination in her eyes:

—We won't fail. We've grown stronger… we'll complete this mission without any problems.

Konohamaru smiled slightly, confidently.

—Okay… then let's continue.

At that moment, they all surged forward at once and began running at full speed through the trees, heading straight for the Land of Silence. The wind whipped at their faces as they approached a place where every step could mean the difference between life and death.

As they ran at full speed, the forest gradually thinned out until they finally emerged into an open meadow. Before them rose an imposing wall that stretched across the almost treeless terrain. The stone was weathered and covered in overgrown grass, as if the structure had been abandoned for years. The massive wooden gates stood wide open. There were no guards. No surveillance.

Only silence.

The team slowed down and stopped at the entrance.

Sarada observed the place cautiously.

—There's nobody here… it's empty.

Konohamaru took a step forward, without lowering his guard.

—In this country, the same system you know of the shinobi does not exist.

Saku frowned, without taking her eyes off the interior.

—So there are no shinobi here?

Konohamaru replied calmly, but firmly:

—Yes, there are some… but they're not like the ones you know.

Mugino continued, crossing his arms.

—They lost their villages. They have no one left to protect. Here, the only things that matter are money… and power.

Sarada looked up at the wall, lost in thought.

—Money… and power?

Saku looked at the interior seriously.

—A place like this… must be more dangerous than it seems.

A breeze swept through the entrance, carrying dust from inside the village. Without another word, they all exchanged one last glance. And in the next instant, they moved on.

Several minutes later, the group made their way through the streets, carefully observing their surroundings. The houses were dilapidated, with cracked walls and crumbling roofs. Everything had a dull gray hue, as if time had drained the life from the place. It was a place that offered no warmth… only survival.

Each of them wore a gray cloak that helped them blend into their surroundings. At first glance, they looked just like any other local.

As they walked, Mugino spoke in a low voice:

—The black market is in this village.

Saku observed everything with curiosity, without letting her guard down.

—They have everything… it's quite impressive.

Konohamaru corrected him in a dry tone:

—They are stolen goods.

Sarada and Saku were slightly surprised, but they didn't say anything.

As they walked on, several people glanced at them out of the corner of their eyes. Some stopped for just a second; others whispered among themselves.

Konohamaru spoke without moving his lips much:

—Did you notice, Mugino?

Mugino moved a little closer to the group and looked around discreetly.

—Yes… I see a lot of familiar faces. —He paused—. They're mostly from the bingo book.

Sarada frowned.

Shouldn't we arrest them?

Konohamaru shook his head slightly.

—The rumor about Hashirama's cells reached Yubina… that means this is a big deal here. If we act, we'll attract too much attention.

His gaze hardened.

—Our priority is to recover them.

Mugino glanced away towards a group further ahead.

"Look at that..." he murmured. "It seems we're not the only ones."

Among the crowd, several shinobi walked cautiously. Their clothing didn't match each other. Some wore faded symbols, others didn't even try to hide their origins.

"More shinobi from smaller countries have arrived," Mugino continued. "I saw one of them earlier... he belonged to another village."

At that moment, behind them, from a nearby shop, came the sound of breaking glass. Everyone turned around instantly. A boy came running out of the shop, clutching a vase to his chest. Behind him, the shop owner chased after him with a knife in his hand, shouting furiously:

—Stop! I'm going to kill you!

The boy ran between Sarada and Saku at full speed, disappearing into the crowd.

Saku followed him with his eyes, surprised.

—A child stealing at that age…?

Mugino replied coldly:

—Here, many children steal to survive. It's their only way.

Saku lowered her gaze for a moment.

—Seeing this… makes me feel a little better about the place where I was born.

Sarada frowned.

—Stealing… even if they're younger than us…

Konohamaru spoke in a grave tone:

—This country is as horrible as it is complicated.

Mugino added, without softening his words:

"That's the reality for countries that can't withstand a war. I've seen many places like that on my missions."

The atmosphere became heavier.

Then, from the side, a voice called to them:

—Hey… are you interested in this?

Sarada and Saku turned their heads at the same time. Their eyes widened in surprise. At a small, makeshift stall, a merchant held several ninja headbands in his hands. The place was littered with them: from different villages, some torn, others stained.

Sarada stepped forward.

—How did you get those bandanas?

The salesman smiled enthusiastically, almost proudly.

"It's the only thing rogue ninjas can sell." He took more bandanas and showed them. "What do you say? I'll give them to you cheap."

Sarada clenched her fists.

—The ninja headband is the pride of a shinobi… how can they sell them like this?

Mugino responded calmly, but firmly:

—Pride doesn't put food on the table. Here, only one thing matters… survival.

Then he looked up at the sky.

—And with money and power… you can get anything in this place.

Sarada and Saku followed his gaze.

Her eyes opened even wider.

High above, cutting through the gray sky, a huge airship floated slowly over the village.

Saku murmured, impressed:

—Is that sold here too…?

The wind blew through the streets, and for a moment, the Land of Silence made it clear that it had no limits. The group continued walking. After a while, they entered a dark alley. The sun barely filtered through the weathered walls, leaving the place in semi-darkness. Several people lay on the ground: homeless people, some unconscious, others barely moving. The silence was unsettling.

As they advanced, Konohamaru spoke in a low voice:

—This is the way to the most dangerous area. According to ANBU information, there's a place where a lot of deals are made… but the owner is a thug.

Sarada and Saku looked at each other for a second and Konohamaru added.

—Don't let your guard down.

They continued walking to the end of the alley, where large wooden doors blocked their path. Konohamaru stopped in front of them… and opened them without hesitation. Upon entering, the atmosphere changed completely.

The place was filled with shelves displaying all sorts of objects: weapons, tools, strange jars, pieces of equipment… even things that were hard to identify. At the back, behind a counter, stood a man with a lizard perched on his shoulder. Upon seeing them, he smiled with delight.

—Oh… customers. Welcome. —He bowed his head slightly—. Tell me, what are you looking for?

Saku looked at the place with curiosity.

—It looks like a normal store…

Konohamaru stepped forward.

—We hear that you know a lot about the deals in the market.

The salesman kept smiling… but his expression became rigid.

Mugino took a half step forward.

—We are looking for someone who sold something they shouldn't have.

Silence fell. The man's smile vanished. His face tensed. He straightened slowly.

—So they're not customers…

Saku raised an eyebrow.

—"Master"? What are you talking about?

The vendor glared at them, clicking his tongue.

"They'd better leave. They're scaring away my customers... and that's costing me money."

His gaze turned colder.

-Long.

At that moment, a heavy metal door began to plummet from the ceiling. Saku reacted instantly. He raised his hand, and his arm transformed into roots and thick branches that extended powerfully, stopping the door before it could crush them. The impact echoed throughout the place. The vendor was startled and took a step back… but he didn't have time to react. Saku's branches unfurled like snakes and seized him by the neck and arms, lifting him off the ground and slamming him against the wall behind the counter.

—Ghh … !

At that very moment, two large men emerged from the sides of the counter and attacked. Sarada saw them move and in an instant vanished. She reappeared in front of one of them, grabbed his face, and slammed him to the ground with force, knocking him unconscious instantly.

The second man threw a punch straight at her, but Sarada easily dodged it and, releasing the first man, took a step back; in the next instant, he vanished and reappeared in mid-air, twisting his body as he delivered a kick straight to the head. The impact sent him flying against the wall, landing unconscious next to the vendor. Sarada landed on her feet and leaped onto the vendor's counter, giving him a cold stare.

—You'd better cooperate.

The man swallowed.

—I understand! I understand! I'll tell you everything I know… just forgive me.

At that moment, the steel door slowly returned to its position on the ceiling, and Saku's branches retracted, reforming her arm with a soft creak. Saku sighed, relaxing her posture. Konohamaru and Mugino watched the scene, surprised.

Konohamaru shook his head.

—They are too reckless…

Then, they both approached the counter. Sarada jumped down and joined the group; they all stood facing the vendor.

Konohamaru looked at him seriously.

—Tell me… where are Hashirama's cells?

The salesman, still nervous, settled himself as best he could and slumped down in his chair.

—I thought they were coming for me… hahaha… that scared me quite a bit.

Konohamaru's expression did not change.

—We don't want any trouble with you. We'll pay you for the information you give us.

At that moment, the vendor reached under the table and took something out, carefully placing it back on the surface.

—Buy this from me.

Mugino looked at him and, upon recognizing him, opened his eyes slightly.

—That's… an access card from Vikta's company.

At that, everyone reacted with restrained surprise. The vendor smiled slightly and, crossing his arms, replied:

—That's right. A few days ago, a guy in a white coat came to the village… he was selling Hashirama's cells.

Upon hearing that, Konohamaru frowned.

—So it was the one who was with Anato… who took them.

The vendor nodded slowly and, leaning on the table, continued:

—After selling them and receiving the money, he disappeared without a trace. But being so weak… with all that money he was practically begging to be attacked.

Sarada, keeping her gaze fixed, spoke seriously:

—So… they killed him.

"That's right," the vendor replied bluntly. "This card was in her body. I bought it because it belongs to a big company... and it's worth a lot of money. But I don't even know who bought the cells."

Mugino sighed and, looking away slightly, murmured:

—Then we have no more leads…

Sarada lightly clenched her fists and added:

—This is bad… they might not even be in the Land of Silence.

However, the vendor let out a low laugh and shook his head.

—Don't worry about that. It's easy to get into this country… but getting out is another story.

Everyone looked at him attentively. The vendor continued, leaning forward slightly:

—Given how valuable Hashirama's cells are, it won't be easy to get them out of here.

Konohamaru nodded seriously at that.

—So… they're still in the Land of Silence.

The salesman smiled and added:

—If they really want to find them… they should talk to the women.

Konohamaru frowned, confused.

—With women?

The vendor chuckled and, shrugging his shoulders, explained:

—I don't know if they're directly related, but there are rumors that someone powerful arrived recently… and those girls always have information.

Konohamaru narrowed his eyes and, after thinking for a second, asked:

—I see… where can we find them?

The salesman smiled with amusement and replied:

—There is only one place where they are.

Then, without taking his eyes off them, he gave them an address… and directions. Some time later, the sun had already set. The city lights illuminated the streets, painting them with vibrant colors amidst the chaos and decay of the place. The group walked along a street filled with noise, laughter, and movement… until they stopped in front of a bar. Without saying a word, Konohamaru opened the door and they all went inside. As they did, they noticed several women leaving with different men, some laughing, others silent. The atmosphere was heavy… but lively.

Konohamaru smiled somewhat uncomfortably.

—Don't get upset, guys…

Sarada looked around and frowned slightly.

—This place is…

Mugino glanced at him sideways and spoke lazily:

—Don't get upset either.

Konohamaru let out a nervous laugh.

—Sure… sure.

The group took a few more steps, observing the interior. There were tables, armchairs, and people scattered throughout the place… but someone stood out in the back. A man with long white hair, surrounded by four similar-looking women: purple hair, the same clothing… and an identical earring on each one.

Sarada stared at him.

—That was easy…

Saku narrowed her eyes.

—So it's him…

The man, completely relaxed, laughed as he drank.

"Tomorrow I'll be rich!" he exclaimed enthusiastically. "I'll buy you whatever you want..."

Konohamaru glanced sideways at Mugino.

Mugino, without taking his eyes off the subject, spoke seriously:

"That's Kirisaki... a medical ninja from the Village Hidden in the Mist. He's on the Bingo Book for causing trouble using medical ninjutsu. It's not normal to see him here."

Upon hearing that, Sarada looked at him again more attentively.

—So… it's possible I'm here because of Hashirama's cells.

Konohamaru nodded slightly.

—Yes… it's very likely.

The group watched him for a moment, analyzing the situation. Kirisaki continued laughing, surrounded by the women, completely unconcerned. Saku gave a slight smile and glanced sideways at Konohamaru.

—Sensei… don't you have an interesting jutsu? Perhaps it could be of use to you now.

Konohamaru stared at him for a moment, not understanding what he meant. A moment later… Kirisaki was surrounded by the purple-haired women, drinking enthusiastically while they cheered him on with laughter and compliments. However, at that moment, the sound of heels broke the silence.

Tap… tap… tap…

Everyone turned slightly. A beautiful woman with brown hair approached with an elegant stride until she stood before the table.

He stopped, made a slight and delicate bow…

—Can I accompany you?

Kirisaki looked at her and, instantly, her expression changed to one of obvious emotion.

—Of course you can… come here.

The woman advanced smoothly, passing between the others, who did not hide their annoyance.

Then she sat down next to him.

Kirisaki smiled, looking her up and down.

"I didn't expect to find a woman of this caliber in a place like this..."

She responded with a charming smile.

—Thank you… that's a great compliment.

While she was talking, she looked at him flirtatiously.

Kirisaki smiled even wider, clearly pleased.

The woman leaned slightly towards him, getting closer than necessary…

And that was enough.

One of the women with purple hair stood up, annoyed.

—Hey you… don't get so close to Mr. Kirisaki.

The brown-haired woman glanced at her sideways and smiled calmly.

"Isn't that Mr. Kirisaki's decision?" she replied gently. "Besides... from what I can see, they all look very similar. Are they quadruplets? It's impressive."

The women looked at her with obvious anger.

Another one stood up suddenly.

—You'd better step aside, you dirty thief.

"Don't go near Mr. Kirisaki," another one added irritably.

The woman, unfazed, leaned slightly against Kirisaki's body and spoke in a playful tone:

—How scary…

Kirisaki let out a laugh and looked at her with pleasure.

—But how beautiful you are…

Then she looked at the other women and her expression changed, becoming colder.

—You'd better leave. I'm done with you.

He twisted his expression slightly, showing annoyance.

—I'm tired of seeing the same face.

The women gritted their teeth, visibly annoyed… but said nothing more. Finally, they left. Meanwhile, the brown-haired woman settled herself naturally, leaning even more against Kirisaki… keeping her attention completely focused on her. At a distance, Saku, Sarada, and Mugino watched the scene intently.

Sarada frowned slightly and spoke in a low voice:

—Sensei Konohamaru is trying his best… but to think that technique would actually work…

Saku smiled with amusement.

—Hehehe… the Sexy Jutsu was a good idea.

Sarada shook her head, while Mugino, without looking away, added:

—Not bad at all for infiltration.

As they talked, Konohamaru—still transformed—began to ask subtle questions, but Kirisaki barely answered, more interested in flattering her than anything else. After a few minutes, they both left the bar in search of a quieter place. As they left, Kirisaki was carrying a briefcase. Seeing this, the group reacted immediately and began to follow them from a distance.

As they walked through the illuminated streets, amidst the noise and movement of the city, a child ran past at full speed… And in an instant, he snatched Kirisaki's briefcase.

"Hey!" Kirisaki shouted, launching himself after him.

Without hesitation, he began chasing him through the streets, shoving anyone who got in his way. The boy ran desperately, twisting and turning between alleyways… until he entered a narrower one. Kirisaki followed closely behind. However, just when it seemed he would escape, the boy tripped over something on the ground and fell heavily. Kirisaki reached him, retrieved the briefcase, and then glared at him. The boy looked at him with fear… but also with rage. Kirisaki frowned and, without restraint, began to violently beat him.

—You think you can rob me?!

The child could barely defend himself.

Kirisaki grabbed him by his clothes and raised his fist, ready to kill him.

—Die…

At that moment, the brown-haired woman appeared and firmly grasped his arm.

—Stop. Right now.

Kirisaki turned away in annoyance, abruptly pulling away.

—Stay out of this. Who do you think you are?

At that moment… The woman's body exploded in a cloud of smoke, undoing the transformation, and through it, Konohamaru threw a direct punch to Kirisaki's stomach.

The impact made him spit out saliva as his body doubled over, falling to one knee. And before he could react, Konohamaru stepped forward and struck him with precision in the neck, instantly knocking him unconscious as his body fell to the ground without resistance.

The boy, who had observed everything, ran out of the alley without looking back, and Konohamaru saw him out of the corner of his eye, letting out a sigh.

At that moment, the rest of the group arrived at the place and Mugino quickly approached.

—Konohamaru, are you okay?

Konohamaru turned to him and replied calmly:

-I'm fine.

Mugino looked around carefully.

—And Kirisaki… where is he?

Before he could answer, people began to gather from the alley entrances, drawn by the commotion, so the group noticed it immediately and Konohamaru frowned.

—It seems best if we leave this place.

Meanwhile, from the main street, a small group silently observed the whole scene: they were four identical-looking people with purple hair, the same earring in each ear, and green shinobi-style clothing, and their gazes were fixed on the alley, as if they already knew exactly what had happened.

Several minutes later, Kirisaki found himself tied to a tree. He slowly opened his eyes and saw the entire group in front of him. Konohamaru was standing at the front; he opened his briefcase and took out a bottle, examining it intently.

—Is this all you have?

Mugino stepped forward and looked at him seriously.

—You said you'd get a lot of money… is it because of Hashirama's cells?

Kirisaki watched them for a moment and then looked away.

—I don't know what you're talking about.

Konohamaru calmly closed the briefcase.

"So you came all this way for nothing..." He paused briefly. "You'd better talk. Otherwise, we might hand you over to the Village of the Mist."

Kirisaki opened his eyes a little wider and then clicked his tongue.

— Tch … I thought I'd get rich. They only called me because of my knowledge of cells… I don't know anything else.

Mugino narrowed his eyes.

—Who did you make a deal with?

Kirisaki shook his head.

—I don't know. Not his name, not his face. They just gave me a place I had to get to.

Konohamaru stared at him.

-Which is it?

Kirisaki hesitated for a second, but ended up speaking.

Hinode Bridge … first thing in the morning. That's where we agreed to meet.

Then he frowned, annoyed.

—I've already said everything I know… so let me go.

Konohamaru watched him silently for a moment.

—You'll be staying here for a while.

Mugino approached and, without saying anything, tightened the ties around the tree even more.

Kirisaki struggled.

—Hey! Let me go!

But no one answered.

Moments later, the entire team was gathered around a campfire in the middle of the forest, as the night silently descended. Konohamaru was the first to speak:

—In order to infiltrate properly… I will transform into Kirisaki.

Saku and Sarada were surprised, but Konohamaru continued without hesitation:

—That's for the best. That way we can get more information about where Hashirama's cells are.

Saku spoke calmly, without taking her eyes off the fire:

—Then I should go… after all, they are Hashirama's cells.

Konohamaru shook his head.

"No. I'll go. I'll do my best to infiltrate as much as possible. Our objective is to recover the cells... and it's too dangerous for you to go alone. If we manage to reach them, we can avoid a confrontation... and that's for the best."

Then he stood up, and Saku and Sarada did the same; Mugino moved a little closer to the group.

Sarada frowned.

—And what do we do if we are attacked?

Konohamaru replied firmly:

—We will fight to the end. Hashirama's cells are too dangerous to leave loose in the world… we will capture whoever is involved.

Sarada and Saku became serious and nodded.

Konohamaru continued:

—Since we don't know how many people will come for them, we'll divide the tasks.

He looked at Saku.

—You and I will go to the bridge. If the cells go out of control, with your kekkeigenkai nearby we can prevent a disaster.

Then he looked at Sarada.

—You will watch with your Sharingan.

Finally, he turned his gaze to Mugino.

—And you will be prepared to intervene at any moment. We will attack from two points… it will be the most effective.

Then he looked at Saku again.

—The next thing is, Kirisaki was supposed to go alone… so we'll have to trick them. I hope you do a good job.

Saku smiled confidently.

—It'll be a piece of cake.

The campfire crackled softly. The plan was ready.

After several minutes, elsewhere, Konohamaru had transformed into Kirisaki, with Saku by his side, both standing before a wooden bridge that stretched across the darkness. Some distance away, hidden among the branches of a tree, Sarada and Mugino watched silently, attentive to their every move.

Mugino narrowed his eyes and, from his position, murmured seriously:

—Someone's coming…

From the other end of the bridge, a hooded figure appeared, walking calmly. He was short, and his face was barely visible beneath the shadow of the hood. His steps were slow but steady, moving directly toward the center.

At the same time, Konohamaru—still disguised as Kirisaki—began walking forward. Saku followed without hesitation, keeping pace.

When the figure noticed Saku's presence, it paused slightly and spoke suspiciously:

—Mr. Kirisaki… who is that?

Konohamaru didn't stop. He continued walking, answering casually:

—He's my assistant.

The person tilted their head slightly, assessing it.

—I didn't think I'd bring anyone else.

Konohamaru maintained his nonchalant tone, without losing his composure:

"Just carry the briefcase. It won't interfere... I don't want my hands to be shaking from carrying weight."

The figure lowered its head slightly. For a moment, it said nothing. The silence became awkward. Saku frowned slightly, alert to any movement.

Finally, the person spoke:

-Alright…

Then he reached for the edge of his hood and slowly pulled it back. His face was revealed: an old man with a long nose, thin hair, and a tired expression.

Konohamaru observed him attentively and, without hesitation, asked:

—Do you have Hashirama's cells?

The old man shook his head gently.

—No… I am a mere butler. I have come on behalf of my mistress.

Konohamaru narrowed his eyes.

—Where is your mistress?

The butler raised his gaze slightly, and his voice changed… almost reverent.

—She's not in such a vulgar place… she's a woman so beautiful that even the flowers would be ashamed before her. She is… the hope that my heart holds.

Saku grimaced slightly at those words. Konohamaru, without losing his patience, replied coldly:

—I don't care who it is. Get to the point.

From the tree branches, Sarada watched with her Sharingan active. Suddenly, she opened her eyes a little wider.

-This is…

Upon hearing her, Mugino focused his gaze on the old man. Then he noticed: the butler was sweating, his body trembling slightly as he spoke… something was wrong. Konohamaru took a step forward.

—If that's the case, tell me who your mistress is.

The butler remained silent for a few seconds… and then spoke with difficulty:

—Before that… I need to make sure of something.

His arm began to rise slowly. With clumsy movements, he rolled up his sleeve. Everyone was shocked. His arm was being consumed by something unnatural: the skin had turned gray, cracked… like dry wood. The veins looked like roots spreading beneath the surface.

The butler gritted his teeth.

—If you are the real Kirisaki… then you can cure this.

Konohamaru stared at him.

—Why are you doing this?

The old man tried to answer… but his body failed him. Suddenly, his legs gave way. He fell to his knees. And in the next instant… his body collapsed to the ground. The infection was spreading. Cracks extended down his neck, reaching part of his face. Still, trembling, he fought to hold on… clinging to what little consciousness he had left.

At that moment, Sarada and Mugino jumped down from the trees, landing next to them.

Sarada looked at the butler's still trembling body and spoke seriously:

—Going to this extreme… just to find out.

Mugino, with his arms crossed, added:

—You must feel absolute devotion to the person you serve.

Sarada frowned slightly.

—So what do we do now? How do we cure it?

Konohamaru didn't respond immediately. He crouched down next to the butler and calmly pulled a syringe from his coat. Without hesitation, he plunged it into the old man's neck.

Saku and Sarada were surprised.

Little by little, the butler's body began to change. The grayish tone disappeared, the cracks closed… and his skin returned to normal.

Mugino narrowed his eyes.

—You used that…

Sarada, still surprised, asked:

-What was that?

Konohamaru stood up.

—One of the syringes Yubina gave me. I used it when she drew Mitsuki's blood… I was planning to take it to Konoha for analysis, but I suppose that won't be possible now.

At that moment, the butler began to regain consciousness.

Sarada and Mugino reacted immediately. Without making a sound, they jumped into the trees, hiding in the shadows.

The butler slowly opened his eyes. He sat up with difficulty and, still weak, spoke:

"As I expected from you... Mr. Kirisaki. You were able to heal me... but Hashirama's cells are truly powerful, even in this state."

Konohamaru stared at him intently.

—You've already tested my skills. Now… tell me who your lady is.

The butler lowered his gaze for a moment, then replied:

—Follow me… and I'll tell you.

Konohamaru turned around and started walking.

—If you don't tell me now, I have no reason to follow you.

Saku, playing along, calmly added:

—The doctor's safety is the most important thing.

They both continued moving forward.

The butler tensed up. He took a hurried step toward them.

—Wait, Dr. Kirisaki! Please wait!

She pressed her lips together, hesitating… until she gave in.

—I'll tell you… my lady's name is Sakuya. She lives in the central castle of the village.

He smiled slightly, almost enraptured.

—She is the most beautiful woman in existence… her beauty is dazzling… unattainable.

Konohamaru and Saku stopped. Then they turned towards him.

—Then you'll take us to that castle —Konohamaru said.

The butler nodded.

—That's right. A barrier completely surrounds the place… if they try to enter without me, they will die the instant they touch it.

From the trees, Sarada watched attentively.

—I thought we could get ahead… but it won't be that easy. That guy is trouble.

Mugino replied calmly:

—We are the backup. Let's follow them from behind.

At the bridge, the butler began walking back towards the village, followed by Konohamaru and Saku.

As they moved forward, Saku glanced towards some rocks under the bridge.

"These chakras… are familiar. They are barely distinguishable from one another…"

He narrowed his eyes.

"They are the women from the bar…"

He looked ahead again.

"They're listening to everything… but right now it's not advisable to act. They're troublemakers… the best thing to do is keep an eye on them. When the time comes… I'll act."

Saku continued walking as if nothing had happened.

Beneath the bridge, among the rocks, the four figures watched in silence. One of them spoke in a low voice:

—We already have the place… let's go ahead.

The other three responded in unison:

-Yeah.

They followed the steward calmly, walking along the village paths as he talked nonstop. His voice, though weak from what had happened, was full of admiration.

"Mrs. Sakuya... in her youth, she was the most beautiful woman alive," he said with devotion. "There was no one who could compare to her..."

Saku glanced at him out of the corner of her eye, noticing how his eyes sparkled as he spoke.

The butler continued, almost as if speaking to himself:

"But time... is cruel even to the most beautiful flowers. However... I've heard rumors..." She paused briefly, lowering her voice. "They say he'll use Hashirama's cells to rejuvenate himself."

Konohamaru didn't react immediately, but his gaze became more serious.

"Rejuvenate...?" he repeated calmly.

The butler nodded slowly.

—Yes… to regain their youth… their eternal beauty.

Saku frowned slightly, thoughtful.

"Using those cells for something like that…? That will only have consequences…"

Meanwhile, from the trees, Sarada and Mugino followed them at a distance, observing their every move. After a while, the group entered the city, making their way through the streets until they reached the center, where a large building stood surrounded by a yellow barrier. Several people were gathered in front of the enormous gates.

The butler, noticing the scene, stopped.

—Wait here.

He approached the group, and as he did, the situation was revealed: a man lay on the ground. His skin was dry and cracked… his hair completely white and lifeless.

The butler frowned.

-What is this?

One of those present replied:

—Apparently he tried to enter… and died instantly.

The butler nodded coldly.

—I see. Then get him out of here, quickly… before Mrs. Sakuya sees him.

Everyone obeyed immediately, lifting the body.

The butler returned to Saku and Konohamaru.

—I'm sorry you have to see this. It happens often… many refugees try to steal my mistress's jewels.

Then he turned and walked toward the doors. As the corpse passed by, Saku watched him out of the corner of his eye. His eyes opened slightly.

"I see... so they were men. A transformation jutsu... one died. The others... must be inside."

The butler approached the enormous metal doors and placed his hand upon them. At the touch, a ripple rippled across the surface… and in the next instant, the doors opened. Without hesitation, the butler stepped inside. Konohamaru and Saku followed him. From atop a nearby building, Sarada and Mugino watched the scene unfold.

Sarada spoke in a low voice:

—They've already gone in… we can only wait.

Mugino kept his gaze fixed on the castle.

—Konohamaru... don't fail.

Inside the building, they walked along long stone corridors. The castle's interior was cold and silent. On either side, large mirrors hung on the walls… all broken, with cracks that distorted any reflection.

Konohamaru glanced at them out of the corner of his eye as he walked.

—They're all broken…

The butler replied without pausing:

—Those were orders from Sakuya-sama.

They continued walking. The echo of their footsteps resonated in the place, creating an uncomfortable atmosphere.

Konohamaru, maintaining his role, spoke naturally:

—For the operation, I need to have Hashirama's cells on hand.

The butler shook his head slightly.

—My lady carries them with her at all times.

Konohamaru barely frowned, but persisted:

—Even so, I need to check them first. I can't work without making sure of their condition.

The butler remained silent for a few seconds, as if evaluating her words.

—I understand… then it would be best if you met directly with Sakuya-sama.

Konohamaru did not hesitate.

—That's what I want.

The butler nodded respectfully.

—Very well… I'll take them to her.

Without pausing, the butler continued guiding them through the castle's interior, deeper and deeper… bringing them closer to the very heart of the place. However, after going a little further, they came to a square room.

At that moment, the butler stopped. Konohamaru and Saku did too.

Suddenly, from the ground, two blocks opened with a dry sound… and in the next instant, several chains shot out, trapping Saku's arms and legs.

It all happened in a second.

Without wasting any time, the butler pulled a syringe from his clothing and pointed it directly at Saku's neck.

"Dr. Kirisaki… as you know, I cannot allow you to operate directly on my lady," he said coldly. "So I will test your skills once more… with your assistant."

Konohamaru looked at him in surprise.

—Are you saying I should operate on my colleague… and rejuvenate him?

The butler nodded. Meanwhile, Saku stared at the needle just inches from her neck.

"This is problematic… I don't know what will happen if I inject those cells… it could make me stronger… make me lose control… or worse…"

A cold sweat ran down his back. He forced an awkward smile.

"Come on, Konohamaru-sensei… say no…"

Then Konohamaru spoke:

—Okay… I'll do it.

Saku turned his head, surprised.

Konohamaru, without changing his expression, continued firmly:

—But first… bring me the best wine you have. My hands won't stop shaking if I don't drink.

The butler blinked, confused.

-Came…?

"Yes!" Konohamaru replied forcefully, smiling. "I need a drink before I work."

The butler hesitated for a moment… but finally gave in.

—I understand… I'll bring it right away.

He turned around and began giving hurried orders.

—Someone! Bring wine for the doctor!

Without wasting any more time, he ran out of the room.

As soon as he disappeared, Konohamaru looked at Saku.

—Listen… the plan changes. I'll distract them… you go for the cells.

Saku stared at him.

-Understood.

In the next instant, he tensed his body… and with sheer force, the chains began to creak… until they broke.

Without wasting any time, he quickly made stamps.

— Mokuton : Moku Bunshin no Jutsu.

From his body sprouted branches that molded themselves into a clone identical to him. The clone took his place and allowed itself to be ensnared by the chains.

Saku took one last look at Konohamaru.

And in the next instant… he ran off, going deep into the castle in search of the cells.

Saku sped through the corridors, turning at every corner without stopping, and after a few seconds he glanced back, noticing three figures following him closely: the brothers, identical to each other, differentiated only by their hairstyles and the shade of their hair between purple and pink.

"We have to stick to the plan," said one of them, without missing a beat.

Saku didn't answer, she just accelerated, and suddenly stopped dead, frowning slightly.

—The perfume.

She inhaled more carefully, feeling the scent intensify toward a specific point, so she immediately resumed running, turning into that corridor and increasing her speed. After a few moments, she slowed down and stopped at a corner, peeking out just enough to see the end: two large doors guarded by guards. She thought.

"It's there."

Without hesitation, he took off.

The guards barely reacted, and in the next instant Saku appeared in front of them. One of them barely had time to tense up before receiving a direct kick to the chin that lifted him off the ground, and without stopping the movement Saku disappeared and reappeared in front of the second one, connecting a clean punch to his face that threw him against the wall with force.

It all happened in an instant. The bodies fell to the ground, unconscious.

Saku moved forward without looking back, pushed open the doors and entered, raising her gaze as her eyes barely opened.

—A throne room.

The place was spacious and silent, almost too still. At the far end, atop a staircase, stood a throne, and upon it, a seated figure. Saku ran straight ahead, bounded up the stairs, and stood before the old woman, reaching out and touching her shoulder. At that moment, the woman's body slumped to one side. Saku tensed.

A kunai protruded from his neck, impregnated with a purple substance.

—She's dead.

He glanced from side to side, analyzing his surroundings.

—But what.

There was no trace of the cells. Saku opened his eyes a little, annoyed, and spoke.

—I didn't think they would go this far…

Without wasting any time, he pulled out a kunai and threw it towards the ceiling, but at the last instant the weapon was deflected with a dry sound, and from above two figures leaped down, landing in front of him; they were the brothers.

Saku looked at the brothers and spoke with annoyance.

—It was necessary to kill her,

One of the brothers spoke, staring at him intently.

—So you had detected us…

The other smiled slightly and added, taking a step forward:

—The way you're looking at us... I suppose you've already recognized us, so it'll be easier.

Saku clicked her tongue, without taking her eyes off them, and thought with annoyance.

"I should have stopped them from the beginning… now someone has died, this is my fault."

He clenched his fists tightly.

"I must stop them here."

Then he raised his gaze slightly and asked coldly:

—There were three of you. Where's the other one?

The brothers were barely surprised, exchanging a brief glance.

Meanwhile, minutes earlier, elsewhere in the castle, Konohamaru sat in a chair, maintaining his transformation into Kirisaki, while the butler carefully poured him wine. Konohamaru sipped it calmly, feigning patience, as the butler repeatedly asked when the operation would begin. Suddenly, the door burst open.

A hooded man appeared, agitated.

—Sir, we have a problem! Something has happened to Sakuya-sama, we don't know what to do!

At that moment, the butler tensed up completely.

-What are you saying!?

The hooded figure didn't answer; he simply turned and ran off. The butler, visibly shaken, chased after him, almost shouting:

—What's going on?!

Her footsteps faded down the hallway, silence fell over the room, and then

—PUFF!

A puff of smoke filled the room. Konohamaru reversed the transformation, regaining his original appearance as he slowly lowered his gaze.

—It's already started.

Saku stood facing the two brothers, his gaze unwavering, and at that moment, from the doorway, the third appeared, removing his hood as he advanced towards the scene. Saku's eyes widened slightly upon seeing him, and one of the brothers spoke calmly:

—Well?

The newcomer nodded slightly and replied:

—Everything is ready.

Saku frowned and took a step forward.

—Where are the cells?

The third one said nothing at first, he just moved his arm back and, in the next instant, he took out a glass container, placing it in front of him; inside, Hashirama's cells could be clearly seen.

Saku tensed her body.

—They will not leave this place…

One of the brothers smiled slightly.

—We don't think it's that easy.

And in the next instant, without warning, the two brothers who were standing in front of him jumped up and disappeared among the large ceiling lamps, hiding in the structures that illuminated the room.

Saku watched them disappear into the ceiling, and at that moment, the door burst open.

The butler rushed in, but upon seeing the scene, he stopped dead in his tracks for a second… his gaze fell upon Sakuya's body on the floor. Then he reacted and shot towards her, desperately racing up the stairs, and upon reaching her, he knelt beside her.

—Sakuya-sama…

Her hands trembled as she touched her, and when she confirmed there was no response, her face fell, and she began to cry, then she slowly turned her head… and looked at Saku and her eyes changed.

-YOU…!

He stood up abruptly and glared at him angrily, pointing at him while Saku shook his head.

—It wasn't me!

But the butler did not listen; blinded by despair, he turned sharply and ran to the nearby wall, reaching out and, without hesitation, pressing a button, and in the next instant...

WEEOOO!

An alarm began to sound throughout the castle.

At that moment, Saku glanced at the ceiling and sprinted toward the butler, but just before reaching him, he raised a kunai and blocked another one coming straight at him, producing a sharp, metallic sound. The butler jumped, looked up at the ceiling, and ran, but in the next instant, a kunai pierced his throat. His body stopped dead in its tracks, and then he slowly tumbled down the stairs.

Saku gritted her teeth, looked up at the ceiling with even more annoyance, and without wasting any time, quickly performed hand seals, then forcefully stretched her arm to the side.

— Mokuton : Daijurin no Jutsu.

At that moment, his arm transformed into large roots and branches that shot upwards at great speed. The ninjas were frightened and jumped back trying to escape, but the branches caught them suddenly, trapping them and pressing them hard against the ceiling, immobilizing them completely.

Saku didn't stop; more roots sprouted from his arm and dug into the ground. With a single pull, he freed his arm, then leaped high and landed on the branches in front of them, watching them as they struggled in vain.

Then he calmly advanced towards them, reached inside his clothes and pulled out the glass container with Hashirama's cells, ignoring their screams.

—Stop!

Saku turned around and walked back, but before leaving she glanced at them out of the corner of her eye.

"I don't know what they want these cells for, but they don't belong to them... even so, they shouldn't have killed, and now they will be punished. These branches will unravel in a few hours; by then the mansion guards will already be waiting for them."

One of the ninjas glared at him angrily, struggled to break free, but it was useless, and he spat contemptuously:

—Damn kid. You know nothing. Konoha created someone like you. You probably come from a great family; with that kekkei genkai, it's obvious. You've never gone hungry, never felt what it's like for a plate of food to be the only thing keeping you alive, you damn brat.

At that moment, Saku glared at him furiously and disappeared, reappearing next to him, and without hesitation threw a punch straight at his stomach, the impact made him spit saliva as his body doubled over in pain.

Saku observed him for a moment and spoke in a tense voice.

—I lived in an orphanage until recently, when I was younger I lived on the streets until I was taken in, my life is based on preventing people from dying and making them happy, even in their worst moments… so don't talk nonsense, I don't know what village you come from, but these cells wouldn't do you any good.

The other brothers glared at him furiously, and the ninja who had been hit looked up sideways, with contempt.

—That's why you're stupid.

At that moment, he clenched his fist tightly.

BOOM!

A poison bomb exploded between them, releasing a dense toxic cloud. Saku reacted instantly and jumped back from the branches, hanging in mid- air, but in the next second, from the poisonous smoke, the three brothers appeared in front of him, and at the same time launched their attacks . Saku protected himself with his forearms, taking the full force of the blow and sending him crashing to the ground, slamming his back hard.

The impact echoed throughout the room, and in the same movement, one of them appeared beside him and snatched the container with the cells, while the third, without giving him a break, turned his body and kicked him, sending him crashing into the wall.

BOOM!

It all happened in a single moment, and in the next instant, the three disappeared in a Shunshin.

Saku slowly emerged from the wall, shaking her head.

-Curse…

At that moment, Konohamaru entered through the door and stopped when he saw the place in chaos from the brief fight, then he turned his gaze towards Saku, and he made a great leap, arriving at his side.

—Saku, what happened? Are you okay?

Saku shook her head.

—They ambushed us…

Konohamaru frowned.

—Change of plans, the servants and guards are gathering.

Saku gritted her teeth.

—They killed the butler and Sakuya… and also, because of my mistake, they took Hashirama's cells.

Konohamaru sighed.

—Cover the entrance.

Saku nodded, quickly performed several hand seals, and extended her hand, pointing towards the doors.

— Mokuton : Fukutsu Konpeki .

At that moment, the ground at the foot of the great gates creaked and, from below, thick roots emerged, intertwining with each other and digging into the walls, forming a solid barrier that completely blocked the passage.

Elsewhere in the castle, a person dressed in white, like a shaman, was walking briskly, but suddenly stopped… and fell to the ground, lifeless. One of the brothers appeared behind him, while another spoke calmly:

—With this we can leave here… they will give us the time.

And outside the castle… the barrier fell completely.

All this was happening while the alarm kept blaring, and outside the castle, Sarada and Mugino watched the situation from the top of a building. Mugino narrowed his eyes and spoke calmly.

—Apparently… things got complicated.

Sarada, with a slight worry in her eyes, replied:

—Do you think Saku and Konohamaru-sensei will be alright?

At that moment, through the streets of the Land of Silence, screams began to be heard that spread like fire.

—The Leaf Village ninjas killed Sakuya and stole her riches!

—They're still in the castle, they're trying to escape!

—Whoever captures them will be rich for life!

Those who spread the rumor… were the brothers.

Sarada and Mugino listened to everything, exchanged a glance, and Mugino spoke seriously.

—Apparently… they made a huge mistake.

Minutes later, the castle entrance was filled with dozens of rogue ninjas and thugs who began to gather, armed with all kinds of weapons, ready to storm the place.

Meanwhile, inside the castle, Saku and Konohamaru listened to the commotion growing from outside, the voices, the footsteps, the tension building.

Konohamaru sighed.

—This… got bad.

Saku looked towards the entrance blocked by its roots.

—We are surrounded…
