Chapter 486: Join Us, and Reap the Benefits

"Ordinary disabled individuals and soldiers are still far from being able to undergo the surgery or withstand its effects."

"We need to arrange specific training methods for them. Once the next breakthroughs in surgical experiments are achieved, they'll be able to recover."

Matthew shared some experimental results with Angela, explaining how to quickly bolster Bay Territory's soldier ranks.

There are many disabled soldiers and Professionals.

Most of them lack the funds or connections to seek Clerics or Paladins to cast the 6th-tier divine spell—Limb Restoration.

Divine spells differ from arcane spells. The latter consumes mana and materials, while the former expends divine grace and vitality.

The cost of divine spells is far greater.

If Matthew could break through experimental barriers and overcome challenges, all these disabled soldiers and Professionals unable to afford recovery would become Bay Territory's natural recruits.

Even if they weren't ideal soldiers, Bay Territory offered many roles where they could shine.

More importantly, warriors would no longer fear disabilities; casualty rates would drop significantly, and combat effectiveness would double.

Imagine this:

Warriors enhanced with the strength of Ogres, the towering physiques of Barbarian Warriors, the agility of Drow Elves, precise combat techniques, and the regeneration of Trolls!

When such modified warriors appeared in droves, their combat power would be nothing short of terrifying.

This was the original purpose of Matthew's surgical modifications—to strengthen the inherently frail human body.

Fully understanding this, Angela issued her orders with finesse.

Under the guise of rehabilitation training, she provided these recruits with supplies comparable to those given to other soldiers.

After all, they would eventually join Bay Territory's military ranks. Why not show them Bay Territory's advantages early on?

The results were remarkable.

These unprepared disabled soldiers, after undergoing preliminary checks and nervously entering the military camps, were met with incredible sights.

Amid fierce shouts and clashing sounds...

Four fully armed elite soldiers were battling two towering Ogres.

Their coordination was impeccable.

Two held shields while the other two maneuvered around the Ogres.

They blocked the Ogres' massive clubs head-on while attacking and distracting from different angles.

What stunned the disabled soldiers was seeing Bay Territory soldiers—seemingly not as strong as the Ogres—stand their ground in direct confrontation.

It was unbelievable!

"These are our elite troops, the only ones qualified to train alongside Ogres."

Jifan explained with a smile. Noticing their expressions of realization, he calmly led them to another training field.

The Troll Training Grounds!

Unlike the dozens of Ogres, the Troll trainers led by Warlord Falk numbered in the hundreds.

Angela hadn't assigned these Trolls to the battlefield.

She clearly understood that Bay Territory's development and military strength had to rely on itself.

Training tasks for the Trolls were a perfect fit.

Moreover, the Trolls enjoyed it.

No need for grueling battles.

No hunting under harsh conditions.

Just daily sparring to release energy.

At most, donating blood every few days.

No safety concerns.

And always being well-fed.

It was their dream life!

Any ulterior motives were quashed by Bay Territory's growing ranks of powerful soldiers and the "examples" of disobedient Trolls.

Consequently, the training sessions for Bay Territory soldiers and Trolls were highly effective and spectacular.

The clanging of metal resounded, drawing the recruits' full attention.

By the time Jifan led them to the armory, they were still in awe.

What they saw next solidified their impressions of Bay Territory's wealth.

Neatly arranged along both sides of the armory were rows of enchanted crimson armor.

Uniform in style and design, the gear exuded a sense of strength.

Visible enchantment patterns further elevated their value.

"Based on your height and physique, you'll receive armor tailored to your size. If damaged, report for repair or replacement promptly."

"Pay attention to the accessories on the armor."

"Daggers and shortswords can be mounted at the waist. Small crossbows can be attached to the gauntlets. Vitality Potions are also secured on the waist."

"Besides the armor, we provide standardized weapons: spears, shields, longswords, and crossbows."

"If you're proficient with other weapons, you can qualify to carry them through specific tests."

"All of these are enchanted gear of excellent quality. There are no restrictions on quantity; everyone will receive what they need."

"Simply put, if you have the need and ability to enhance combat effectiveness, we'll meet your requirements."

Jifan spoke with a proud smile.

The disabled soldiers, stunned by the display, looked on in disbelief.

One soldier touched the Bay Territory emblem glowing faintly with magical energy and asked suddenly:

"How much gold would it cost to buy this?"

Even in the Netheril Empire, soldiers often supplied their own gear.

Soldiers purchased weapons and equipment to improve their chances of survival on the battlefield.

Just as ordinary Professionals often struggled to afford magical gear, soldiers found it nearly impossible to obtain enchanted equipment.

Even the Empire's elite legions required soldiers to pay for their gear.

"In Bay Territory, it's free!"

Facing their incredulous expressions, Jifan's smile grew brighter.

He patted the sturdy metal armor and solemnly declared:

"Yes, all weapons, equipment, and consumables, including potions, are free!"

"Bay Territory will never take your blood money."

"We also guarantee the highest quality."

"If you find any issues, report them immediately. You'll receive a reward and a replacement..."

Soon, the disabled soldiers were won over by Bay Territory's generosity.

New adventurers were ushered into the Adventurer's Hall, where they marveled at its grandeur.

Bay Territory was truly different.

Across the territory, a message resounded to all newcomers:

"Join us, and reap the benefits!"
