Chapter 425 - Chapter 425: The Attack on the Elemental World

All the demons instinctively glanced at the Undead Ancestor, assuming the statement was directed at him.

But then their expressions turned strange—if even the strongest attack could be effortlessly neutralized by this mysterious being, could it really be called strength?

Tap, tap.

For some reason, despite the air being completely devoid of moisture, a damp sensation filled the surroundings.

The next moment, a black mermaid walked through the void. Her lower half was covered in interwoven black scales, like a black net, while her upper body revealed dark, glossy skin that exuded an eerie and sinister aura.

She arrogantly gazed down at everything below her, reading fear and caution from the eyes of those present.

"Worship me, follow me, and I may spare your lives..."

The black mermaid spoke coldly.

The Undead Ancestor's expression darkened as he responded in a deep voice, "You attack my Underworld so recklessly. Isn't this a bit too arrogant?"

"Impudent!"

The black mermaid's face remained expressionless, but her voice carried immense authority. With a single shout, all the demons except for the Undead Ancestor were struck as if by lightning. Cracks spread across their bodies, as if they were about to shatter like glass.

Clearly, they had all suffered severe injuries. The Shadow Demon was the first to buckle, his body shrouded in dark shadows. After barely recovering, he hastily said, "I just remembered something urgent. I'll take my leave!"

"Me too!"

"My artifact is still unfinished..."

One by one, the demons, terrified out of their wits, attempted to flee like frightened monkeys. But a black web descended from the sky, instantly binding the entire space.

The Shadow Demon, who had just activated his innate power to escape, suddenly found himself back where he started, drenched in cold sweat, his gaze filled with terror as he looked at the black mermaid.

The other demons were no exception. All those who tried to flee were brought back as well. Realizing that escape was impossible in front of this being, they resigned themselves and stayed put, not daring to act out any further.

The black mermaid seemed pleased with their submission, her voice softening slightly with approval as she looked at the Undead Ancestor. "Your talents aren't bad either. Given another million years, you might have taken that crucial step forward..."

The Undead Ancestor's pupils contracted sharply, a subtle excitement flickering in his heart, as if her words had struck a chord.

"You know how to make that happen?"

"What do you think? Serve me, and accomplish something for me, and I will guide you on the path to becoming a master..." The black mermaid coaxed with a slow, tempting tone.

"The path to mastery..." The Undead Ancestor muttered. "Is that the realm you're currently in?"

"Hahaha!" The black mermaid suddenly burst into laughter. "Complete this task for me, and I will tell you."

The Undead Ancestor took a deep breath. "Speak. As long as it's within my power, I will do my best."

"Destroy the Elemental World, and while you're at it, find someone for me..." The black mermaid's voice turned cold as she glanced aside, seemingly peering through endless voids and seeing the colorful world of elements.

"The Elemental World?"

All the demons gasped in unison, exchanging bewildered glances. Wasn't that a newly born and fragile world? If it came into contact with the Underworld, it could be crushed instantly. Why would such a powerful being take an interest in it?

The Undead Ancestor subtly glanced at the others before calmly asking, "Who are you looking for?"

"I'm not sure either. I only know his name—Rhett. He has a subordinate with a chaotic soul body and a Soul-Devouring Bat..." The black mermaid recalled the vague images and information sent by her clone and spoke softly.

Upon hearing the name "Rhett," the Undead Ancestor's ram horns trembled. The black mermaid seemed to notice the reaction, her expression growing cold as she asked icily, "Oh? It seems you know him..."

"No, I definitely don't know him!" The Undead Ancestor hurriedly denied it, his face twisting with feigned anger. "In fact, I have a deep hatred for him. Even if you hadn't come, I would have sought him out myself at the first opportunity!"

The black mermaid's expression shifted from cold to satisfied. "Good. Don't worry, the reward for gathering information for me will be generous. This is just a down payment. Once the task is completed, I'll give you more rewards based on the information you provide."

As she finished speaking, a dozen black scales appeared in the black mermaid's hand. They spun in her palm and shot out like darts, embedding themselves in the bodies of the demons.

None of them moved or resisted. It wasn't that they didn't want to fight back; it was just that the situation was too bizarre. Although they could see the scales, they couldn't react in time.

Only after the scales had pierced their bodies did they snap out of their daze, each of them examining themselves with astonishment.

"This... this is... World Source Power! Such pure, refined World Source Power, where could this have come from?!" the Undead Ancestor exclaimed.

"My gods, I've never experienced such pure World Source Power in my entire life..."

"It feels like I've slept with ten thousand succubi... Ah, so good!" The Blood Demon laughed heartily with his rough voice. However, the mention of the Soul-Devouring Bat brought a slight shadow to his thoughts.

At that moment, every demon was filled with joy, their previous expressions of fear completely replaced by happiness.

"By the way, how strong is that person?" The black mermaid asked cautiously, a trace of apprehension in her voice.
