Before each saint-level expert, there stood towering piles of elemental ores and magic crystals, glowing in various colors and strange shapes, emitting dense elemental energy.
This sight instantly overwhelmed the Peace Dove, whose eyes widened in shock. Despite being mentally prepared beforehand, seeing such a massive quantity of elemental minerals in person was still astonishing.
The next moment, the towering piles of elemental minerals suddenly disappeared, as all the saint-level experts collected them into their spatial equipment.
Stunned for a couple of seconds, the Peace Dove composed itself, patting its belly. Then, a faint gray chaotic light began to emerge from its abdomen, flowing up its throat and out of its mouth, gradually floating into the air.
Under the curious gazes of the saint-level experts, the chaotic light transformed into a large mouth, gurgling as it poured out a vast quantity of goods.
Like raindrops, the items fell densely from the sky, immediately drawing everyone's attention.
The beastmen sensibly retreated, knowing that the events to follow were beyond their involvement.
The goods varied widely, presenting a dazzling array of strange and novel items, mixed in with bottles containing the Body Refining Spring Water. Rhett noticed not only the spring water but also many other peculiar items dropping to the ground.
Rhett widened his eyes, inspecting each item closely before glancing up at the chaotic mouth in the sky, filled with shock and curiosity. What on earth is that thing?
"Hehe, don't be too surprised," the Peace Dove began to explain calmly, as if noticing the curiosity in the eyes of the saint-level experts. "That is a unique beast spirit from our world, containing a vast internal space, somewhat similar to your spatial equipment. However, unlike your space equipment, the highest-tier beast spirits can even carry living creatures."
The King of Milan nodded thoughtfully, his mind churning as he tentatively asked, "Would this kind of beast spirit be available in your trade inventory? If it is, we would be willing to exchange elemental minerals for it..."
The Peace Dove shook its head with a smile.
"This sort of thing isn't like ordinary items. Even in the Beast God World, it's a rare commodity, hard to come by. It's similar to your world's spirits—only under the right circumstances can one be tamed."
The saint-level experts exchanged glances, their hopes dashed, and could only let the matter drop.
Rhett squatted down, touching and inspecting the various goods before dusting off his hands. "Could you explain what these items are?"
The saint-level experts nodded in agreement, eager to know the purpose of these items.
The Peace Dove gently stroked its chest feathers and smiled. "Of course. Let me start with the most plentiful item—the Body Refining Spring Water. I've explained its effects before, so I won't go into detail again. However, the top-grade spring water is limited in supply, accounting for only one-third of the total quantity. The remaining two-thirds have slightly reduced effects."
Hearing this, Rhett examined the bottles again and noticed that some of the liquid inside was indeed less pure than the highest-grade spring water.
"Next, this black ointment is called Necro-Salve. It has miraculous effects on treating external injuries, and even for amputees, applying this salve can regenerate lost limbs in a short time. This is top-tier medicine in our world, with limited production, and I've only brought a kilogram per person."
As soon as the Peace Dove finished speaking, Rhett and the others examined the black ointment and found matching items in the pile. They picked up the ointment and studied it carefully.
This medicine was akin to a miracle drug. There was no such thing as limb regeneration in this world. Only the most powerful saint-level beings could avoid injury by transforming their bodies into elemental form in advance.
However, if a grievous injury was sustained and left untreated for too long, even the strongest healer would be unable to help.
This black ointment, capable of solving such a critical issue, amazed everyone.
The saint-level alchemists, in particular, were intrigued, their eyes shining with excitement as they eagerly anticipated studying the ointment to uncover its secrets.
The Peace Dove, noticing their interest, smiled knowingly but said nothing, continuing with the introductions.
"This is the Heart of the Fire Phoenix. For any avian species, it has a phoenix-like rebirth effect, elevating their bloodline and granting them a new life. Of course… its price is also quite high. In the Beast God World, it's extremely rare to witness the death of a Fire Phoenix, maybe once every few thousand years… So consider yourselves lucky this time!"
While explaining, the Peace Dove took out a small box from the pile. After a series of complicated motions, it finally opened the box, revealing a bright red, pulsating heart adorned with intricate and beautiful patterns, resembling a crystal.
Instantly, the heart drew the attention of all the saint-level experts, who stared at the box without blinking.
A faint mist of fire rose from the heart, and the air around it began to warm noticeably.
"By the way, this Fire Phoenix was a descendant of the Sun Phoenix God… Unfortunately, it couldn't escape the limits of its lifespan…"
The King of Grayhorn squinted his eyes. "Might I ask, Peace Dove, what is the typical lifespan of a Fire Phoenix? How does it compare to a saint-level lifespan?"
The Peace Dove paused for a moment, then gave the king a peculiar look before calmly replying, "The Fire Phoenix is one of the most precious species in the Beast God World. There are only about a thousand of them, beloved by the heavens. Even the weakest Fire Phoenix can easily live for ten thousand years, and as for the more powerful ones… hehe."
Although the tone was light, the King of Grayhorn felt as though he'd been slapped in the face, embarrassed that he had asked such a naive question. He chuckled awkwardly and remained silent.
Rhett, however, felt a sudden thought stir within him—he recalled his loyal companion, Fireclaw.
Due to its limited bloodline potential, even as Rhett's magic pet, Fireclaw had been relegated to the sidelines, spending its days playing alone in the palace…
Unable to help him at all.
Rhett stepped forward and cleared his throat. "I'll take the Fire Phoenix heart. Name your price."
Then, he turned and addressed the group apologetically. "You might not know, but I tamed a Firefeather Eagle early on. It happens to need this heart, so I hope you'll excuse me…"
The other saint-level experts nodded graciously.
"Don't worry about it, my magic pet isn't a bird, so I don't have much interest in this."
"Same here, no need to compete over this."
"No objections from me…"
The Peace Dove considered the matter and then raised a finger formed of feathers. "One ton of elemental minerals, and the heart is yours."
Rhett breathed a sigh of relief.
He had feared the Peace Dove might name an outrageous price, something like a thousand tons… but only one ton? That was far more reasonable than expected.
Of course, Rhett kept his thoughts to himself, not wanting to seem ungrateful. He promptly agreed and pulled out a mountain of elemental minerals, allowing the Peace Dove to verify the quantity.
After confirming everything was in order, the Peace Dove beamed with satisfaction and used the large mouth floating in the sky to suck in the elemental minerals like a reverse hailstorm.
When Rhett tried to store the Fire Phoenix heart in his spatial ring, he was surprised to find it didn't work. Puzzled, he looked to the Peace Dove for an explanation.
The Peace Dove chuckled. "That's the magic of the Fire Phoenix. It possesses the power of rebirth, and even though this heart no longer holds the hope of revival, it still contains potent life force that prevents it from being stored away like normal objects. Over time, this energy will dissipate."
Rhett marveled at the heart, deeply impressed. Such an extraordinary creature—the Fire Phoenix was a wonder, and its combat prowess must have been beyond imagination.
He couldn't help but wonder how a being like the Fire Phoenix would compare to the top powers of the Netherworld…
His curiosity piqued, Rhett turned to the Peace Dove and asked, "Have you ever heard of the Netherworld?"
"Netherworld?" The Peace Dove looked at Rhett, surprised to hear the term from him, clearly impressed. "I didn't expect someone of your level to know about the Netherworld. Impressive."
"However, there's very little interaction between the Beast God World and the Netherworld. I recall that many eons ago, the two realms had a brief encounter and some friction… and if I remember correctly, the Netherworld was at a disadvantage." The Peace Dove's eyes filled with memories as it slowly spoke.
What? Rhett thought, shocked. The Netherworld at a disadvantage?
Did that mean the Beast God World was stronger than the Netherworld?
Rhett's heart pounded as he processed the information. Though this happened eons ago, if such a precedent existed, the Beast God World might not fear the Netherworld.
"Do you trade in Netherworld items?" Rhett asked, thinking of something.
"You have Netherworld items?" The Peace Dove's surprise deepened, its gaze fixed on Rhett with intense interest.
The other saint-level experts were equally stunned, their attention riveted on Rhett.
Rhett chuckled. "I didn't personally venture into the Netherworld. I encountered a weakened purple eye that had crossed realms. After a tough battle, I managed to kill it and obtained a mysterious crystal."
As he finished speaking, a translucent crystal appeared in Rhett's hand, the spoils from his battle with the purple eye.
The Peace Dove took the crystal, scrutinizing it carefully before saying, "This isn't something that came from the purple eye's body—it must have been brought from the Netherworld."
"I can sense a faint seal on this crystal, a very sophisticated one. If I were in my world, I might be able to break it. But here… it's beyond my capabilities at the moment."
"However, I do sense a subtle, hidden presence within this crystal, which might pose a danger if left unchecked."
The saint-level experts' eyes widened, their apprehension growing.
They had all heard about the terrifying powers of the Netherworld, and the Peace Dove's words only added to their concerns. They urged Rhett to be cautious.
"If you wish," the Peace Dove offered, "I can take this crystal with me when I leave and dispose of it in the void, where it will pose no further threat."
After a moment of thought, Rhett agreed.
Though there might have been a hidden opportunity in the crystal, it was far more likely to be a trap left by the purple eye—too risky to keep around.
Best to avoid unnecessary trouble, Rhett decided.
The Peace Dove nodded, tossing the crystal into the large mouth in the sky, where it vanished.
The trading continued, though the items became progressively less impressive as the Peace Dove worked its way down the list. While still intriguing, they were not as critical or desirable as the earlier goods.
Apart from a few saint-level alchemists who remained interested in studying the oddities, most of the others lost interest.
The transactions proceeded quickly.
Finally, with both goods and elemental minerals exchanged and stored in spatial equipment, the summit atop the glacier once again became empty and silent.
The Peace Dove, satisfied with the outcome, smiled. "This trade was very successful, laying a solid foundation for future exchanges. I look forward to our next trade."
Rhett and the others offered their thanks and well wishes, exchanging pleasantries.
Then, they watched as the Peace Dove tore open the fabric of space and vanished.
The mountaintop felt strangely quiet in its absence.
After a few brief conversations, the saint-level experts dispersed, their objectives achieved.
In the rear garden of the Green Kingdom's palace, a giant eagle with fiery red feathers perched on an ancient tree, surrounded by mist. It raised its head toward the sky, its eyes filled with loneliness.
It had been a long time since it had any fun.
Although it was treated with respect, fed to its heart's content, and slept well, it hadn't felt the joy of earlier years.
"Chirp~"
"Chirp~"
The eagle let out a few cries into the sky, venting its frustration.
Soon, someone arrived with a bowl of food, filled with magical plants. Fireclaw leaped from its perch, but hesitated in midair, almost falling.
The person bringing the food wasn't the usual caretaker—this figure was all too familiar.
The aura they exuded felt close, causing Fireclaw to chirp in confusion. "Chirp?" (Is that Rhett?)
The yellowish-brown mist surrounding the figure dissipated, revealing a middle-aged face. Fireclaw immediately screeched with excitement, flapping its wings wildly.
It flew around Rhett's head in circles, its feathers trembling with joy.
"Fireclaw, it's been a while since I visited you. You seem to be doing well—put on a few pounds, haven't you? Do you think you can still carry me into the sky?" Rhett laughed as he reached out, scooping Fireclaw into his arms, gently stroking the feathers around its neck.
