Chapter 804 - Chapter 804, Assassinate the Prince? Why Didn’t I Know

Chapter 804, Assassinate the Prince? Why Didn't I Know

Wu Heng instantly understood what she meant.

The matter of Hartle serving him had been mentioned back in Rentam City.

But at the time, Wu Heng was in a hurry to return, so it came up only briefly during conversation.

Seeing Wu Heng stay silent,

Wen Mansa smiled and said, "Hartle, aren't you hot?"

Hartle gave a slight nod, then began unbuttoning her coat. As it opened, smooth pale skin was revealed.

Finally, she let the coat fall, revealing a bold, eye-catching lingerie set.

A black corset hugged her curves, highlighting a slender waist.

Her ample chest was lifted high, jeweled with dazzling rhinestones that sparkled under the light.

Below, minimal fabric and black ribbons were tied around her legs.

Hartle kept her head low, like a shy and seductive feline.

Wen Mansa looked at her, then glanced at Wu Heng with a playful gaze. "Don't take off the glasses. Your master likes you with them on."

Hartle, who had been about to remove them, kept them on and stood still.

"Turn around once. Let your master have a good look."

Hartle slowly spun in place, the rhinestones on her outfit gently swaying.

Wen Mansa laughed and asked, "Master, do you like it?"

Before Wu Heng could answer, Wen Mansa pretended to realize something. "Looks like you do."

"You little tease," Wu Heng said, patting her waist.

Wen Mansa smiled and lifted the thin blanket off both of them, carefully straddling him.

She glanced at Hartle, who was still standing stiffly, and softly said, "Hartle, come hold me."

"Yes, Madam," Hartle answered and moved behind to support Wen Mansa's shoulders.

Wu Heng glanced at Hartle, reached past Wen Mansa, and gently touched her shoulder, collarbone, and flicked the dangling rhinestones.

Hartle trembled, her face growing even redder.

Wu Heng's hand moved to her cheek. Hartle leaned into his palm, her eyes glimmering.

Then, she took two of his fingers into her mouth.

"Phew\~! So tired. Hartle, hold me tighter," Wen Mansa exhaled deeply, leaning back into Hartle's arms.

Hartle smiled, "Take your time, Madam. The night is long."

"Mm." Wen Mansa nodded, then turned her head. "Compared to your husband, how's Master's body?"

Hartle peeked sideways and said, "Madam is very lucky."

...…

Nirali City.

The night was thick like ink, smothering the entire estate.

A few bright torches flickered on the walls, casting small halos of light.

"I heard His Highness ordered another conscription. Looks like peace won't last long," one soldier whispered while leaning on the wall.

His comrade nodded. "Yeah. Wonder if it'll be Rentam City or the royal capital next."

"Hope it's those skeletons. Could be old comrades on the capital side."

"As long as we stay united, those damn skeletons aren't much."

Their quiet chat was interrupted when one of them frowned, staring below the wall. "Who's there?"

Whoosh\~!

The figure in his view turned into a rolling mass of grey mist and charged the wall.

The guards noticed too late. Before an alarm could sound, one drew a sword and slashed the mist.

It split and then reformed on the wall as a tall woman.

"Damn it, fire arrows!" the captain shouted.

"Fools," the woman sneered and exhaled more mist, which instantly formed into hawk-like beasts diving on the guards.

Cries and screams echoed as more dark shadows leapt onto the wall in silence.

"Did we find the Second Prince?" someone asked.

A cloaked figure holding a wooden staff replied, "Not yet. Push into the central estate—we'll find him there."

"That works," the leader said, smiling. "Move in!"

The group bypassed the guards tangled in the mist and scattered in a fan shape, charging into the estate.

"You want death?! Kill every one of them!" came a sudden roar from within the mansion.

More torches lit up. Guards flooded out from all directions. Arrows rained down. Blades flashed coldly.

Chaos erupted instantly—clashes, screams, and steel rang through the night.

More figures burst out from inside, charging at the invading black-clad attackers.

The battle instantly intensified.

...…

Morning, dining room.

Wu Heng sat at the table, eating a few bites.

Then said, "Wen Mansa, I'll be leaving today. You stay here and wait for my signal."

Wen Mansa frowned. "Master, stay a few more days so Hartle can serve you some more."

Hartle stood straight nearby, sneaking a careful glance at Wu Heng.

"Now isn't the time for enjoyment. Let me finish what needs doing," Wu Heng said.

Wen Mansa thought a moment. "You're going after the Second Prince?"

"I'll take a look first. Might not act yet."

Wen Mansa looked worried. Hartle also glanced over in surprise.

Even if it's just the Second Prince, he's still powerful enough to hold half the kingdom. Not easy to kill.

"Isn't it risky?" Wen Mansa asked cautiously.

"If it's risky, I won't move. Don't worry," Wu Heng assured her.

Wen Mansa nodded, still uneasy. "Please don't take unnecessary risks. Even if he survives, we can win a direct confrontation."

"I know," Wu Heng nodded with a smile. Then added, "Keramu, stay behind to protect Wen Mansa."

Keramu, one hand resting on his sword hilt, moved behind Wen Mansa to stand guard.

Wen Mansa looked puzzled. "Master, I'm fine. Let Keramu protect you instead."

"I have new skeleton attendants now. Keramu is level 17, wields a cursed sword. He'll guard you well," Wu Heng said.

Seeing he was serious, Wen Mansa nodded. "Okay, I'll follow your orders."

After finishing the meal, Wu Heng gave them a few more instructions.

Then left the fortress without delay.

In a remote area, he put on the [Conductor's Hat] and boarded the train.

...…

Outskirts of Nirali City.

The train appeared, and Wu Heng stepped down slowly.

He scanned the surroundings and spotted the city in the distance.

According to the intel, this was where the Second Prince was.

With a thought, he summoned the three phantoms.

They hovered midair.

Glenda flew up and looked toward the city. "Looks like the Second Prince is here. Lots of high-level Professionals guarding the walls and gates."

Wu Heng put on a mask, changing into a fisherman. "What levels?"

"Level 10, with many level 15s among them," Glenda said.

Wu Heng frowned. Using those kinds of people to guard the walls?

They really did enjoy special treatment.

"Let's go. We'll sneak into the city first," Wu Heng said, heading down.

The three phantoms vanished and followed him, chatting quietly.

As they neared the city gate, Wu Heng felt something was off.

A checkpoint had been set up well before the gate. Guards were inspecting thoroughly.

A long line had formed. Many were murmuring complaints.

"Wu Heng, the guards are searching everyone. Even pockets and bags. They're checking for storage items too," Benny reported.

Do they know I'm coming?

Such tight inspections.

"Know why?" Wu Heng asked quietly.

Benny replied, "Something happened in the city. They're looking for fugitives."

Something happened in the city? Nothing to do with me.

Xiaoxiao asked, "Uncle, want to just kill our way in?"

"Let's check the situation first," Wu Heng said, glancing around before veering off into the woods. "Benny, go find a quiet corner inside the city. Something spacious."

"Okay!" Benny responded and flew off.

Soon, she flew back.

Entered his body and shared what she saw.

Wu Heng watched the route and open space she had found.

He cast [Teleportation]. A magic circle formed, and he vanished.

When his vision cleared, he was in the spot Benny had chosen.

The three phantoms followed him in.

"Whoa, you can use it like this?" Xiaoxiao exclaimed.

"Just thought of it," Wu Heng chuckled. "Glenda, Benny—go scout the city. Check troops, high-level Professionals. Xiaoxiao, stay with me. Warn me of danger."

"Got it," the three replied and got to work.

...…

Wu Heng left the alley and merged into the crowd.

Patrols constantly marched the streets, questioning suspicious people.

Wu Heng, alone and plain-looking, didn't stand out.

Guards questioned others but just waved Wu Heng along.

He walked a bit more, then entered a tavern and sat in a corner.

"What can I get you?"

"A drink, bread, and vegetable soup."

"Right away, sir."

Wu Heng waited. The food arrived shortly.

He ate casually. More guests filled nearby tables.

Someone said, "Heard Rentam City attacked His Highness' estate last night."

"Yeah, heard that too. The army mobilized—huge scene."

"How did it end?"

"What do you think? With high-level Professionals around him, they drove them off. Now the city's hunting for the attackers."

"Damn necromancers."

Wu Heng paused mid-bite, bread halfway torn.

City lockdown, thorough searches—they were after people from Rentam City?

They even attacked the Prince's estate?

What the hell?!

Who planned this?!
