Chapter 784, A Way to Boost Reputation

Then she put the helmet on again, clicking it several times.

She moved on to the other items.

Two outfits—one a bit larger, the other a smaller, girly version.

The material resembled leather, black in color.

That form-fitting?

"Nightwear?"

After checking everything over—

Lilith began flipping through the tablet again, snapping a few photos.

Then put everything away.

"Putting a workplace on Gold-Silver Island really might not be a bad idea."

...…

Three days passed in a flash.

During these days, Wu Heng went back and forth between Gold-Silver Island and the prison in the zombie world.

After Lilith left, Wu Heng had a few skeletons stationed to guard and clean her place.

Just in case someone emptied her home before her next visit.

The church still hadn't opened.

Maybe they didn't know Lilith had left yet—still laying low.

At the prison, experiments continued with no major breakthroughs.

Both worlds progressed steadily according to plan.

Central District.

A controlled shop opened its doors today. A price list was hung at the entrance.

Healing tablets were being sold in limited quantities—10 tablets per bottle, priced at 10 silver coins. One bottle per person.

"The tablets are on sale!"

"Gold-Silver Island's pills are now available!"

"Quick, notify the reps!"

In an instant, the whole island felt like it was boiling—the news spread like wildfire.

Members of major merchant guilds, mercenaries, and even regular folks all rushed toward the central sales point to queue up.

The Guild and guard units also increased manpower to maintain order.

"Ten tablets for ten silver coins—that's cheaper than regular potions."

"But does it really work?"

"Looks like the Island Lord is trying to take out standard potions—cheaper and more portable."

"Too bad it's limited."

Unlike previous items—

Pens, watches, bicycles—those weren't necessities. Buyers were mostly merchants and nobles.

But healing-effect tablets? Everyone needed them.

Especially mercenaries who lived off bounties all year round.

In no time, crowds had packed the area—far more than during earlier product launches.

The whole central district was jammed with people.

And the crowd just kept growing.

...…

In a room inside a mansion—

Several elderly alchemists were busy at their workbenches.

Some tested efficacy, some analyzed ingredients, others recorded results.

Time ticked by.

Only when they were sweating and near exhaustion did they finally seal up all their equipment.

They opened windows to ventilate.

One elder said, "The ingredients match regular potions. Figuring out how to make tablets isn't hard. Within a week, we'll have a formula and process."

In the back, several merchant guild reps glanced at one another—none looked pleased.

It was the same story with earlier products.

Yet none of them had been successfully copied so far.

One guild rep asked, "Can we compete with Gold-Silver Island in the market?"

The alchemist thought for a moment, then shook his head. "It's not hard to make—but the price. At Gold-Silver Island's current price, we can't compete."

The guild reps all wore the same expression: "Thought so."

...…

City Hall, meeting room.

Wu Heng sat on one side, with Andviel and Annette beside him. Across from them sat the gnome chief designer, Youssef, recently returned from Netalei City.

Youssef gave a report on Netalei's progress, then said, "We left two designers behind. The rest returned per Lady Shanaila's orders."

"Good work," Wu Heng said.

Youssef stood up, flattered. "It's what we should do."

Wu Heng nodded, then said, "I plan to build a large entertainment facility on the island. It'll need a lot of land and various attractions. I want your team to design it."

This was something Wu Heng had been thinking about for a while.

The auction had drawn top-tier nobles—but with Shanaila limiting potion sales to five bottles, they could only profit from five buyers.

Wu Heng thought of building a place to rake in cash from the rest of them.

He'd discussed this with Shanaila—she agreed.

With Youssef back, it was the right time to get things started.

Youssef, looking serious, asked, "Island Lord, what specific facilities should it include? I'll assign the tasks."

Wu Heng handed over a prepared list. After Youssef read it, he added, "The water park section involves some magical construction—get those prepared in advance. Make the decor as luxurious as possible."

"Understood, my lord," Youssef nodded at the list.

Wu Heng looked at Andviel. "Veil, assist Youssef when needed. Once the design's ready, start construction ASAP. Let's have it done before the next auction."

"Got it."

Wu Heng continued, "Alright, that's it for now. Youssef, speed things up and get the plans ready."

"Yes, my lord."

With that, everyone bowed and exited the room.

Wu Heng also left City Hall and headed to check on the sales point.

From afar, he could already see the crowds and Guild staff maintaining order.

One look was enough to confirm all was running smoothly. Wu Heng returned to the Island Lord's Manor.

...…

Back at the manor—

Wu Heng returned to his study.

Not long after, the three wraiths floated in from outside and stopped by his side.

"Uncle, the pills are selling so well. It seems like the whole island's buying them," Xiaoxiao said.

Benny added, "Even regular folks and mercs are lining up. Huge turnout. Some guilds bought samples and started studying them."

Wu Heng smiled, "That's good. Shows people really value the tablets."

Glenda thought for a moment and said, "Since the tablets are so effective, why not use them to boost your reputation?"

Wu Heng raised a brow. "Explain."

Glenda rolled her eyes. "The tablets are cheaper than potions, and this version is super practical. They'll spread quickly across nations. If people know you developed them for ordinary Professionals, your name will spread just as fast. That'll be enough to get you to level 20."

That… was actually a great idea.

If the tablets became associated with him, and they exploded in popularity, so would he.

Gold-Silver Island had already helped him reach level 19—if the whole continent knew him, hitting level 20 was a sure thing.

"Why didn't you say this earlier?"

"I only thought of it when I saw today's sales scene. You couldn't come up with that yourself?" Glenda scoffed. "Still, it won't be easy. Once off the island, it's hard to get guilds to promote you."

Wu Heng considered it. "Not too hard—just include an instruction sheet in each bottle, with usage info and my bio."

Glenda thought about it and nodded. "Yeah, worth a shot."

"Uncle's going to be level 20?" Xiaoxiao asked.

"Soon enough," Wu Heng said with a smile.

"Hehe!" Xiaoxiao grinned.

Wu Heng felt this was very doable. Even if the effect was small, there was no downside.

He'd have someone arrange it shortly—get a batch ready and test it out.

...…

Knock knock knock~!

Just as he was thinking it through, someone knocked. Minnie's voice came from outside: "Master, Steward Sheila Grey is calling."

Sheila Grey was calling.

He hadn't dared contact her lately.

"I'm coming down," Wu Heng said.

He went downstairs and picked up the phone, speaking cautiously: "Hello?"

Sheila Grey's voice came through, "Dinner tonight. Don't forget what I told you."

Wu Heng asked quietly, "You're not poisoning me, right?"

"I'll be watching. You'll be fine."

"Okay, I'll get ready and come over," Wu Heng said, hanging up.

Minnie stood by, looking puzzled. "Master, poisoning?"

"Nothing serious. Just joking with Sheila. I won't be home for dinner," Wu Heng said with a smile.

"Oh, alright."

...…

At dusk, Wu Heng used Teleportation to arrive at the steward's residence.

Walking through the front door, a rich aroma hit him.

Dinner seemed ready.

"Sheila, Shiyali, I'm here," Wu Heng called inside.

Footsteps approached.

The two sisters emerged, looking serious, eyes full of scrutiny.

Wu Heng flipped his hand and pulled out two bouquets—one red, one yellow—handing them over. "For you both."
