Chapter 776 - Chapter 776, Angry Lilith

Chapter 776, Angry Lilith

The next day, at the port.

Wu Heng boarded the Starflower's cargo ship with Andviel and several skeletons.

The wood elf representative saw them board and quickly came over to salute. "Lord Wu Heng, Miss Andviel."

"Has the potion arrived?"

"The potion is on this ship. The other two are loaded with the grain ordered by the island," said the wood elf.

"Viel, go check the grain and have it moved to the warehouse."

"Yes, my lord." Andviel nodded and, with her skeletal attendants, boarded the other ship via a gangplank.

Wu Heng followed the wood elf representative to the ship's hold.

Inside the dimly lit hold, wooden crates were neatly stacked and secured.

The wood elf gestured, and crew members stepped forward to open the crates, revealing bottles of potion inside.

"Lord Wu Heng, all your ordered goods are here. Make sure to dilute them according to measurements before watering."

Wu Heng nodded, then turned to the skeletal alchemist behind him. "Take a few bottles for inspection."

The skeletal alchemist stepped forward to inspect them.

Wu Heng asked, "Any updates from the elders about the formula?"

The wood elf looked a bit embarrassed. "They said it's still under discussion."

Still under discussion.

Seemed like they were trying to stall.

Wu Heng said, "Tell the elders that if they have any concerns, they can bring them up. After all, our cooperation has been good so far."

Compared to buying finished potions, Wu Heng preferred to purchase the formula.

Mass production later would be more effective than fertilizer, potentially solving the food issue in the Zombie World.

And it would save him from transporting supplies back and forth.

The wood elf said, "I'll personally write to the elders, but the outcome depends on internal discussions."

"Alright." Wu Heng nodded.

The skeletal inspector returned, putting the tested bottles back—no issues.

Wu Heng stored all the potions in his spatial sachet. "Go to the city hall to settle the final payment."

"Understood, my lord." The wood elf nodded.

After leaving the hold, Wu Heng waited on the deck for a while.

Andviel soon returned to report that the grain was also fine and workers were moving it.

With all goods verified—

Wu Heng and Andviel disembarked and took a carriage back to the central district.

In the carriage, Wu Heng asked, "Viel, any updates on the livestock and animals we ordered?"

"We've contacted the suppliers. They should be delivered in the next few days," Andviel replied.

"Let me know when they arrive."

"Yes, Master." Andviel smiled.

Wu Heng smiled. "With Viel handling things, everything runs smoothly."

"Master, you're teasing me again." Andviel gently leaned against his palm in a coquettish manner.

The carriage stopped in the central district. Andviel got out and returned to city hall.

Wu Heng continued on to the island lord's mansion.

...…

The carriage stopped outside the mansion.

Wu Heng stepped down and saw workers busily moving in and out of the estate.

He approached and peered through the gate, spotting the old man and the petite figure of Lilith standing under a tree.

The old man remained straight and neat in his suit, holding a black parasol. Under it stood Lilith in a princess dress.

Wu Heng looked over; both of them turned their heads.

"Leader Lilith," Wu Heng greeted softly.

Lilith slightly lifted her gaze but gave no response.

The old man, seemingly reading her gaze, turned back to Wu Heng and handed him the parasol. "Perfect timing, Lord Wu Heng. I have matters to attend to. Please wait here with the young lady."

Wu Heng took the parasol and stood behind Lilith, holding it over her.

"Is the leader adjusting well to the island?"

"There's a new movie premiering soon. I'll send a carriage to pick you up then."

"Did you drink the potion? It's quite effective."

Wu Heng brought up several topics, but Lilith remained silent and unmoving.

She clearly had no intention of speaking to him.

Her gaze remained fixed on the busy workers ahead, causing them to sweat profusely and work faster.

Wu Heng felt the pressure as well.

Crap.

She's actually mad.

The only leader he was on good terms with—and he managed to piss her off.

"Didn't the leader want to bring some of Gold-Silver Island's equipment back before?" Wu Heng suddenly said.

Lilith slightly tilted her head but still didn't speak.

"The equipment inside homes obviously can't be taken."

Lilith turned her head back again.

"But I have a spec…tacular mechanical item to gift you. I guarantee you've never seen one before," Wu Heng quickly added.

"Please, leader, let's take a look. Give me a chance to make up for my mistake."

Lilith pondered for a moment but eventually started walking.

They exited the gates and reached a quiet street beside the mansion.

No one was around, only a few patrolling skeletons passed by.

Wu Heng pulled out a black motorcycle from his space ring and patted it. "This is Gold-Silver Island's latest vehicle, not for sale anytime soon."

Lilith furrowed her brow, eyeing the motorcycle.

The island did have bicycles—two wheels weren't that surprising.

But this one… looked a bit different.

"Let me show you." Wu Heng straddled it.

With a twist of the throttle, it revved and shot forward.

Lilith's eyes narrowed, and the airflow gently lifted her skirt.

Then, Wu Heng returned with another roar, stopping in front of her.

"Hop on. I'll teach you." Wu Heng got off.

He extended his hand.

Lilith's eyes filled with surprise and curiosity. After glancing at him, she took his hand and got on.

Her legs dangled—no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't reach the ground.

Lilith glanced down, then noticed Wu Heng trying to hold back laughter. Her body enlarged, changing from a petite girl to a tall, long-haired lady.

Her skirt became a short skirt, revealing pale legs.

Just like the Lilith from his memory fragments.

All these years later, her appearance hadn't changed at all.

"What now?" Lilith asked coldly.

Her voice had changed too—from cold girl to a rich, mature tone.

"I'll explain, just hold still." Wu Heng began explaining the throttle, brakes, and handling.

Then he had her slowly twist the throttle.

"Slowly, get the feel of it first."

The motorcycle moved slowly forward. Wu Heng walked alongside, helping her keep balance as they circled the open space.

After a few rounds, she started getting used to it.

Speed gradually picked up, and she zipped down the street.

Her skirt, oddly enough, stayed perfectly still—no scandalous scenes.

After a while, Lilith dismounted.

She shrank back to loli form and casually stowed the bike away.

Then turned and walked off without a word.

Wu Heng quickly opened the parasol and caught up. "Don't like the color? If black's not okay, we can change it."

Lilith, fuming, quickened her pace.

"We could make it pink too. You'd be the cutest rider on the island."

"This is my only one—I gave you the best. You promised not to be mad."

Wu Heng chased after her, babbling.

Lilith suddenly stopped, pointed at his mouth.

Wu Heng grabbed her finger. "Okay, okay, I'll shut up."

They returned to the estate.

After waiting under the tree for a while, the old man returned by carriage.

Taking back the parasol, he left with Lilith for the guild.

The carriage departed. From inside, the curtain was lifted slightly to peek back.

Wu Heng waved goodbye.

...…

Back at the island lord's mansion—

Wu Heng chatted briefly with the maids, then headed back to the Zombie World.

Now that Beni had reached level 20, there was no need for her to stay. The cleanup could be left to the skeletons.

Exiting the building, he organized the skeletons for retreat while pulling out his satellite phone to contact Qi Hancai.

The call quickly connected. "Yes, go ahead."

Wu Heng said, "I need to go to Sanbu Port first, then arrange a flight. I'm returning to Xinfu City tomorrow."

Qi Hancai replied, "Alright, I'll make arrangements. There's still a garrison in Sanbu Port—you can go straight there."

"Okay."

He hung up.

Wu Heng got in the truck and, escorted by the skeleton army, returned to Sanbu Port.

...…

Dusk fell.

The convoy and skeleton forces arrived near Sanbu Port.

The heavy gate opened, revealing the curled-up Corpse King inside.

"Still level 19," Glenda noted after probing.

The Corpse King had swelled in size. Its limbs were monstrously strong, and the chains around it left deep marks in its bulging muscles.

Like a giant dumpling swelling against its bindings.

The Corpse King suddenly raised its head and glared menacingly. No roars or struggles—just a fierce stare.

Wu Heng said nothing, simply cast [Mansion Spell]. The stone gate opened, revealing the railgun and empty space inside.

"Drag it in," Wu Heng ordered.

The skeletons grabbed the chains and pulled it into the mansion.

Only then did the Corpse King start thrashing wildly, making the chains creak.

Once inside, Wu Heng summoned thick steel plates that closed in from all sides.

Completely sealing the Corpse King inside, leaving only its snarling head exposed.

Then, turrets appeared around the steel plates.

Countless mounted guns loaded and aimed at the Corpse King.

The Corpse King froze—and shut its mouth.
