Chapter 526, How Do You Feel?
With his vision blocked, his other senses became more sensitive.
The addition of Qi Hancai added a heightened sense of excitement.
His mind began to wonder who exactly was kneeling before him.
Was it Qi Hancai, who had entered later?
Or was Li Yahong demonstrating something?
Since when did the two of them become so close?
The person in front became more diligent, while to the side, he could hear increasingly rapid breathing.
Wu Heng raised his hand, trying to touch the other person's face to determine their identity.
Just as he lifted his hand, another hand grabbed it. "We agreed—no moving."
The voice came from the front, meaning the person in front of him was Li Yahong, and the one with rapid breathing on the side was Qi Hancai.
These two maniacs were really playing this game.
Wu Heng calmed himself and said with confusion, "Did you close the window? I feel like someone's watching us."
Li Yahong paused before responding, "Who'd be watching you? There's nothing worth looking at."
"Well, you never know. Someone might have that kind of fetish."
Li Yahong guided his hand to the top of her head and whispered, "How would you feel if someone really were watching?"
"Who'd be that perverted?" Wu Heng softly stroked her hair.
Li Yahong glanced over to the side and then gently moved his hand away, reminding him, "Don't move."
There was a slight sound of repositioning, and another person knelt before him.
Wu Heng didn't say anything, but he knew it was now Qi Hancai.
The hands resting on his thighs weren't as cold but were still soft.
The rapid breathing on his lower abdomen came and went, showing her effort.
Wu Heng, lost in this novel sensation, grew increasingly excited. The person's hands on his thighs tightened, and he felt her swallowing repeatedly.
He lifted his hand to gently stroke her hair.
Then he touched her cheek.
He was certain—it was Qi Hancai.
Qi Hancai was a year or two older than Li Yahong, but perhaps due to her awakened ability, her skin remained smooth and well-maintained.
But Wu Heng didn't speak, continuing to play his role.
After a while, Li Yahong's voice came from the side, "How do you feel?"
The sudden question startled Qi Hancai, causing her to stop abruptly and cough in embarrassment.
She leaned back, coughing heavily.
Wu Heng pulled off the blindfold, glanced at Li Yahong, and then looked at the flustered Qi Hancai. "Qi Hancai, what are you doing?"
Qi Hancai coughed twice, apologizing, "I'm sorry."
Li Yahong said, "This was my idea. Are you willing to accept Qi Hancai?"
Wu Heng pulled a blanket over his lap. Naturally, he didn't mind Qi Hancai.
But he was curious about how this had been arranged between the two of them.
"Why ask this now?"
Li Yahong explained, "What's your plan for Qi Hancai? She's currently the base's deputy leader, handling most of the affairs. Can you trust her to be with another man, or do you plan to leave her single forever? She'll need a man eventually."
This...
Wu Heng was taken aback. He hadn't considered this before.
Most of the base's responsibilities were handled by Qi Hancai, even more so than Li Yahong.
Entrusting her with such significant power and then marrying her off to someone else—he wasn't comfortable with that.
If she were to marry someone else, he would likely have to appoint a new manager. But currently, there wasn't anyone better suited for the role.
Both Li Yahong and Qi Hancai were like secretaries, efficiently executing his orders.
If he were to replace them with a man, there would be the issue of controlling ambition.
Wu Heng looked at the two women and curiously asked, "When did you two become so close?"
"Because of you. What else could we do but unite?" Li Yahong said with a hint of resentment.
Wu Heng didn't pursue the matter further. He turned to Qi Hancai. "Qi Hancai, are you willing?"
Li Yahong laughed, "Why are you being so direct? If she weren't willing, would she have just done that for you?"
Qi Hancai lowered her head, her face flushed.
Wu Heng chuckled, pulling the blindfold back over his eyes. "Some people are shy. I'll keep this on. You can continue."
Li Yahong climbed onto his waist and whispered, "Remember, you can never abandon us."
"Of course not. But you two will need to put in more effort."
The sound of rustling clothes filled the room.
Another soft body slid into his embrace.
...…
The Next Morning
Li Yahong stepped out of the bathroom.
She saw the two of them still entangled on the bed. "Enough already! Don't wear Qi Hancai out."
Qi Hancai lay flushed, clinging to him like an octopus. "I'm fine."
"You call that fine?" Li Yahong sat down next to them.
After the two finished, they went to the bathroom to wash up.
They left the room and headed to the cafeteria.
Seated at the table, Li Yahong said, "I'm heading back today. Several nearby shelters are discussing joining our base, so I can't stay here too long."
"Don't recruit those shelters with histories of murder and looting. They'll cause problems," Wu Heng warned.
Li Yahong nodded. "Understood. We'll investigate carefully."
"Also, send all the mutated skeletons to me. I'll handle the arrangements."
"Alright. I'll have them delivered after I return."
Qi Hancai quietly ate, her mind wandering, her face occasionally flushing.
"Qi Hancai," Wu Heng called.
"Ah," she responded, snapping back to attention.
"Keep following up with the central station. Let me know if there's any news."
"Understood," Qi Hancai replied immediately.
Li Yahong noticed her distracted demeanor, glanced around at the others eating, and whispered, "Still thinking about it, huh?"
"Go away!" Qi Hancai waved her off, embarrassed.
After breakfast, the three of them went their separate ways to handle their tasks.
Li Yahong returned to Xinfu City with the convoy, while Qi Hancai organized personnel for the airport exchange point.
Wu Heng returned to his quarters and headed for Gold-Silver Island.
...…
Emerging from the portal, he delivered the corpse cores to the skeleton alchemy lab.
He placed the cores in a freezer and collected the completed corpse core potions from the storage shelves.
Now, he had two Tier 4 corpse cores.
The most abundant were Tier 1 cores. Although they weren't mass-produced, they still managed to gather nearly a hundred after each wave of corpse-clearing.
His team couldn't consume that many potions on their own.
After checking the progress of the alchemist's research, Wu Heng left the room.
He went downstairs.
Minnie and the two new maids were chatting in the living room.
"Master!" The two new maids greeted him with a bow.
Minnie asked, "Master, would you like breakfast?"
"No need, I've eaten," Wu Heng replied, motioning for them to sit. He looked at the cat girl and the floppy-eared rabbit girl. "How are you settling in?"
The cat girl, Robey, said, "Thank you, Master. We never imagined we'd have a life like this."
The rabbit girl, Annette, nodded, "Thank you, Master."
"How's the training going? Any feedback?"
"Minnie arranged for a skeleton instructor to train us daily. We won't let you down, Master," Robey responded.
It seemed Robey was more outgoing, while Annette was quieter.
Wu Heng nodded and pulled out two 5-cubic-meter storage rings and several potions from his spatial ring, placing them on the table.
"These storage rings are for you. Store your belongings inside. The potions will help improve your constitution. When you take them, have Minnie supervise."
The two maids looked up, surprised.
"Master, these storage rings are too precious," Robey said.
Robey said, "Master, these storage rings are too precious."
Annette quietly added, "We don't really need them."
In Rentam City, spatial rings were considered rare treasures, the kind that even wealth couldn't always guarantee access to.
Only traveling merchants or leaders of high status typically had such rings.
For slaves, they had heard of spatial rings but rarely, if ever, seen one.
After Wu Heng defeated the pirates, he had collected enough spatial rings to fill half a drawer.
Most of them didn't have large storage capacities, but they were more than enough for the maids' daily needs.
"One for each of you—consider it part of your benefits as maids of the island's manor," Wu Heng said.
Minnie chimed in from the side, "Just accept them. Look, I have one too, and it's bigger than yours."
She even showed off by raising her hand and waving her spatial ring around.
Hearing Minnie's words, the two cautiously accepted the rings. "Thank you, Master."
"Take the potions as well, and when Minnie gives you instructions, follow them carefully."
"Yes!" The two continued placing the potions away.
"Alright, off you go. Have some fun!"
...…
Robey and Annette bowed again and left.
Minnie, however, stayed seated nearby.
Once the two had gone to the courtyard, she said, "Master, the compound bow you requested has been completed. Please take a look."
As she spoke, she presented a newly crafted compound bow.
Compared to the initial version, this one had some differences. The bow limbs were made of iron-gray wood, the main string was a thick, dark red cord, and the two auxiliary strings were a tawny brown.
It seemed the materials used for the compound bow had been updated over the past few days.
"Has it been tested?" Wu Heng asked.
"The mechanist had the regular skeleton archers test it. Compared to the standard longbow, with the same draw force, its power output is over five times greater."
