Xue Yang set down his laptop and touched Lin Xi's forehead. It was still burning hot, yet she claimed to be cold.
"Xue Yang, I'm so cold~"
Even with her eyes closed, Lin Xi was still mumbling Xue Yang's name.

Xue Yang took off his jacket and slipped into the bed, pulling the trembling girl into his arms. "You're not cold anymore," he whispered. "You're not cold anymore."
With Xue Yang acting as a human heater, Lin Xi gradually began to feel better. She stopped shivering and snuggled obediently in his arms, falling asleep.
By the latter half of the night, Lin Xi's fever had finally broken.
The first thing she did upon waking was look for Xue Yang. She found herself held in his embrace, and the moment she stirred, he woke up too.
His warm hand touched her forehead. Although her fever was gone, her face now felt hotter than ever. She quietly pulled the blanket up, burying herself under it, not daring to meet his eyes.
